Don't let all that hard work go to waste after the wedding. As a bride-to-be, you're motivated to reach a certain fitness goal by the date of your wedding. This is a great opportunity for you to use that motivation to develop the healthy habits that will help you maintain those results long after the wedding.
2. Stick With It
Don't get discouraged during the first few weeks of your new workout and diet plan -- it will get easier. Good habits are typically harder to form than bad habits, but the good news is, they're just as difficult to break once you form them. Any change is hard at first, but if you stick with it, working out and eating right eventually won't require willpower and sacrifice -- it will become a regular part of your routine. And once you form a habit of, say, eating whole, non-processed foods, you'll find it difficult to go back to the drive-through.
3. Show Yourself Some Love
When you're so focused on planning your wedding, it's easy to forget to take care of yourself. But skimping on sleep and calories isn't a recipe for weight-loss success. Getting eight hours of sleep will give you the energy to work out and to choose a healthy snack over a candy bar from the vending machine. Skipping meals and drastically cutting calories may seem like a quick way to lose pounds before the wedding, but if you really want to get serious about getting in the best shape of your life, and you don't want to throw away all your hard work after you say "I do," start at least six months before the wedding and focus on developing healthy habits that are sustainable for the long run.
