The Knot on the WABC Evening News and Taxi TV!

WABC recently caught up with Carley Roney, Editor In Chief of The Knot, at the popular Prince George Ballroom for the inside scoop on what's hot for fall and winter weddings this year. Here's an up-close and behind-the-scenes look at this season's latest trends.
  1. Mimicking the style of the popular Prince George Ballroom, some of the hottest details for fall and winter weddings are Marie Antoinette-inspired. Think lush flower arrangements inspired by a palace garden tied together with gold and blush details to create a regal look.
  2. Check out this up-close shot of the gorgeous flower arrangements designed by Lisa Moreta of PaisleyNY. Lisa used a selection of antique-toned blooms, including sweet peas, hydrangeas, dahlias, passion vine and a variety of lush roses, like Bianca roses, Serena roses, and garden roses.
  3. Another way to add a Marie Antoinette air to your wedding day decor is with tiny menus rolled up like scrolls, wrapped in silk ribbon and pinned with a vintage detail, like these from Ceci New York. And for the ultimate regal feeling, don't miss the opportunity to really deck out your tables. We chose gold chargers, beautiful, gold-detailed floral plates, gold-rimmed wineglasses and goblets, and even gold flatware! Eyeing the beautiful pink silk table linen with pearl detail? We picked it up at Ruth Fischl.
  4. The perfect wedding cocktail will make a major style statement. This year, scented signature drinks and seasonal spirits are all the rage. Carley enlisted the help of Jonathon Pogash, New York's own “Cocktail Guru,” to mix up a modern sidecar cocktail, featuring sweet elderflower, pomegranate and a fresh pear-vanilla, silver sparkler (a champagne drink with edible silver leaf detail), perfect for a winter wedding! Check out the recipes at Pogash's site.
  5. The bridal accessories are blue this year. Inspired by Sarah Jessica Parker's character Carrie from the movie Sex and the City, the "something blue" is taking center stage at weddings this season. These beautiful blue shoes are from Blue Tux and Shelley George. There are also a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes -- just like in the movie! Beyond the shoes, a blue handbag is another great way to go blue. These chic clutches are from celeb favorite Lauren Merkin.
  6. Can't get enough blue? Check out the blue hair accessories and jewelry -- just one more way to show off your "something blue." Go dramatic with these blue feather pins and combs from Colette Malouf or add just a hint of bling with something like this jewelry piece from Tejani
