How A Paper Goods Designer Gets Married (Hint: It’s Awesome)

by Rachel Torgerson

It goes without saying that a creative director and owner of a custom paper goods company would go full force on stationery and signage. “I went all out!" Rachel (of Lupa & Pepi custom paper goods) says. Her tricolor letterpress invitation suite was only the beginning — she went on to create beautiful wooden signs for each location and a statement-making, wooden banner for her walk down the aisle. Rachel also designed and painted the laser-cut “Mrs." and “Mr." signs that hung on the back of her and her new husband's reception chairs. With the beautiful Villa at Sunstone Vineyards in Santa Ynez, California as their backdrop, they went with a rustic chic farmer's market-theme. As for the rest of the details? Rachel and Jason left that up to their wedding planners from The Love Riot and floral designers from Honey + Poppies. The already picturesque vineyard was filled with fresh herbs, produce, flowers and funky details — like gigantic hanging tassels off of the ceremony arch and golden flatware. A quirky, tree-themed cake by The Solvang Bakery and the beautiful lighting, lounge and rental equipment provided by Casa de Perrin, Classic Party Rentals, The Lighter Side and Vintage Vingnettes made it all the more fun. Annie McElwain Photography captured all the details below and here.
