Chelsea Clinton Wedding Sneak Peek

Chelsea Clinton's wedding is today -- the details are all rumors for now, but with an estimated 400-500 guests and a $3 million dollar budget, this wedding is sure to be packed with elegant, glamourous details. Here's our forecast!

  1. Chelsea's Inspiration Board

Rumor has it that Chelsea Clinton and Mark Mezvinsky are getting married at a romantic Versailles-inspired mansion in upstate New York. Given what we know of Chelsea's style, we predict a sophisticated color palette of whites, ivories, golds, and maybe a few pops of a deep jewel tone color, like burgundy, shown in our inspiration board above.

While we can't say exactly what Chelsea Clinton's wedding will look like, one thing is certain: Hers won't look anything like her parent's wedding. (Hillary and Bill were married in their living room among 15 of their closest family and friends followed by a backyard reception at their friends' house!)

  2. Chelsea Clinton Wedding Location Prediction

The rumored wedding location is Astor Courts, a private Versailles-inspired mansion that sits on 50 acres overlooking the picturesque Hudson River in Rhinebeck, New York (about an hour north of Hillary and Bill's house in Chappequa). Let's just say the place is fit for celebrities and royalty alike.

  3. Chelsea Clinton Wedding Dress Prediction

Chelsea tends to favor modest, tailored styles, so we wouldn't be suprised to see her in an elegant wedding dress with an illusion neckline (like the Monique Lhulliher dress on the right) or one with a pretty bateau neckline (like the Ian Stuart dress on the left) both from Kleinfeld Bridal.

Word on the street is that she'll end up wearing a custom-made wedding dress by either Oscar de la Renta or Vera Wang.

What we don't expect to see? We don't think Chelsea is the type to wear anything too princess-like (like a dramatic ball gown) or revealing (like high slits or low necklines).

  4. Chelsea Clinton's Wedding Bouquet Prediction

A huge wedding at a romantic French-inspired mansion and a gorgeous traditional wedding dress calls for a lush all-white wedding bouquet dotted with a few pops of blush and pink. Oversized peonies, garden roses, and ranunculuses like the bouquets above would look amazing.

  5. Chelsea Clinton Wedding Flowers Prediction

Jeff Leatham, artistic director of the Four Seasons George V hotel in Paris (and flower genius behind celebrity weddings like Eva Longoria-Parker and Tony Parker's French chateau wedding) is allegedly handling Chelsea and Mark's wedding flowers. Leatham is known for using lots of single-flower compositions, like the fuchsia flower cluster photo above that he did for one of our recent magazine photo shoots.

Given the elegant reception location, Chelsea could definitely go for a romantic blush and white color palette. If she does, the lush peony and rose arrangement (by Flowers of the World) on the left would work nicely.

If instead she decides to take the look in a more modern direction, we see more of a rich purple and green color combo. Orchids and calla lily arrangements like the one on the right (also by Flowers of the World) would look amazing when clustered into groups of threes or fives.

  6. Chelsea Clinton Wedding Cake Prediction

A tall, classic round cake would suit Chelsea's classy, understated style (and with a presumed 400 to 500 guests, the cake is certain to be tall!). To add a touch of glamour, the couple might choose a chic seven-tiered cake embellished with gold ribbons and pearlescent fondant like the one on the left (by Sweet Element). A few burgundy sugar-made peonies gives the cake a hint of romance.

For the modern version, we'd still expect to see a round cake, but with added elements like the asymmetrical, offset pleating on the cake at right (also by Sweet Element) for the perfect mix of elegant and contemporary.

One thing we do know for sure? There will be at least one gluten-free slice for Chelsea (she's a vegan and also allergic to gluten so a slice of cake to suit her dietary needs is a must-have).
