1. Stadium View

For a change of scenery, take guests to the Terrace Suite at Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville with sweeping views of downtown and the playing field. The suite can accommodate up to 400 for a sit-down dinner and include all the amenities like built-in bar, plasma screen TVs, a house sound system, and even and outdoor patio area with seating. The best part? You won't find the usual game-day fare here -- the menu features classic gourmet staples like herbed filet mignon and grilled Atlantic salmon. (904) 633-6174

2. Garden Party

Rehearsal dinners are in full bloom at the American Orchid Society Visitors Center and Botanical Garden in Delray Beach. For couples with their own caterer, Sara Starkoff Green, of Impressive Occasions, recommends dinners in the orchid greenhouse. (561) 404-2064

3. Beer Garden

Make room for the groom: River City Brewing Company in Jacksonville has private rooms overlooking the St. John’s River that can accommodate up to 240 for a seated meal. The menu: fresh seafood and steaks paired with English and German malted barley and fresh hops from the Pacific Northwest. (904) 398-2299

4. Bowling Alley

Not your ordinary bowling alley, Lucky Strike is a trendy yet casual spot where you, your wedding party, and guests can kick back and get to know one another before the wedding. The Miami Beach bowling alley can provide a party menu for groups of 30 or more and also has a well-equipped bar. (305) 532-0307

5. On the Water

Having a formal wedding? Set the rehearsal dinner apart with a relaxed gathering at the Conch Republic Seafood Company. Situated in Key West’s historic seaport district, casual dining unfolds on the outdoor patio overlooking the marina. The menu: what else but the treasures of the sea—raw oysters, steamed clams, conch fritters, and Key West’s signature Steamed Royal Red Shrimp. (305) 294-4403

6. Destination Deal

If you’re hosting a destination wedding, you may need a space big enough for all those out-of-town guests. Robin Lilly of The Double Helix Wedding Services says to hit the beach at Anthony’s on the Gulf in Fort Myers. This beachfront establishment can grill up lunch right on the sand, and guests can rent Jet Skis, beach chairs, and umbrellas for the quintessential beach party. (239) 463-2600

7. Gallery Space

Modern couples with an appreciation for contemporary art (and their own caterer) should consider the Millenia Fine Art gallery. Heather Snively of Weddings Unique pointed us to this upscale Orlando venue that can accommodate seated rehearsal dinners for 300 in its Bauhaus architectural setting decorated with stunning works from Picasso to Chihuly. (407) 226-8701

8. Foodie Find

If to you, the rehearsal dinner is really about the dinner, check out San Sebastian Winery in St. Augustine, recommended by Heather Trimboli of First Coast Weddings & Events. In a private room, guests can feast on a formal plated dinner of fresh Atlantic salmon, mojito grilled chicken, herb-crusted sirloin tip, and the like. After the meal, oenophiles can linger at The Cellar Upstairs, San Sebastian’s wine and jazz bar—which features live music and, of course, signature vintages. (904) 826-1594
