1. Scenic Seating

For a room with a view, head to Horizons Rooftop Ballroom in the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel. 2. Ballpark

Make room for the groom and let the rehearsal dinner speak to his interests. Pittsburgh’s PNC Park is available for special events on nongame days. Consider Bierbauer’s, the indoor lounge decorated with Pirates memorabilia boasting views of the field and city skyline; or the outfield promenade, known as the Riverwalk. (412) 325-4746

3. Organic Outpost

Set the tone for organic style with a rehearsal dinner at Blue Sage Vegetarian Grille. This Southampton establishment specializes in turning out delicious vegan cuisine that tastes as good as it looks. Note: It’s BYOB, but they serve a selection of organic sodas, coffee, and teas. (215) 942-8888

4. Vineyard Style

Wine lovers? Then gather your guests for a sit-down rehearsal dinner surrounded by oak barrels. At Chaddsford Winery you can host a wine-paired dinner for 50 in one of the winery’s cellars or tasting rooms. Chaddsford’s special events planner, Betsie Williamson, will work with you and one of the winery’s featured caterers to create a meal suited to your tastes. (610) 268-2519

5. Garden Party

Rehearsal dinners are in full bloom at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. This Pittsburgh venue can accommodate up to 175 guests for a seated meal in the tranquil Outdoor Garden or 50 in the stunning Palm Court, located inside the Conservatory’s glasshouse. (412) 622-6914

6. Country Time

Treat your guests to a slice of countrified charm at the Cock ’n Bull Restaurant in Lahaska. There is a variety of private rooms to accommodate 20 or more family and friends, all situated in the middle of Peddler’s Village, an eighteenth-century style shopping village in the heart of Bucks County. The menu: traditional American cuisine like chicken pot pie. (215) 794-4033
