The mismatched bridesmaid dress trend is showing no signs of slowing down. But just because the guys wear suits and tuxes, doesn’t mean they should miss out on all the fun—the groom and his groomsmen can totally get in on the mix and match craze too. Below, check out our favorite wedding fashion combos from Men’s Wearhouse that let the guys show off their individual style, while still looking effortlessly coordinated. (Hint: The main man gets to set himself apart with a unique suit or tux, while the groomsmen wear complementary looks that are each accessorized a bit differently.)

  1. Classic Black Tie

Planning a formal fete? These days, black tie doesn’t have to mean an all-black tux. To help the groom stand out from the crowd, take a cue from the bride and go white. With a black satin shawl collar, a white dinner jacket lends some old-school Hollywood glamour to his look. Pair it with a velvet bow tie and black pants for a vintage-inspired outfit that still feels fresh and modern. For the groomsmen, all-black tuxedos unify the party, while a mix of neckties, bow ties and different pocket squares adds personality.

  2. Stylish Semiformal

An evening reception at an urban loft or historic venue calls for attire dressy enough for night, yet not so fussy it overpowers the location. Enter the classic navy suit for the groom—a fashionable favorite that never goes out of style (unlike your dad’s powder blue tux from back in the day). Then dress the wedding party in matching gray suits, but shake things up with solid dress shirts that complement your wedding colors. Want to really embrace the pattern-mixing trend? Let the groomsmen choose different ties in coordinating hues like pale blue and lilac.

  3. Garden Party Formal

Whether you’re saying your vows at a vineyard or merely embracing an outdoorsy vibe, your groomsmen can’t go wrong in tan suits. Play up the natural surroundings with fun ties in a leaf or floral print. Looking to make an even bigger color splash? Have the guys alternate brightly-hued shirts and skip the pocket squares in favor of a little greenery. To make it clear he’s the man of the hour, it’s totally acceptable to go a little dressier for the groom’s attire. A light gray suit will still keep him cool in the hot sun, but adding a vest kicks the formality up a notch.

  4. Fun & Festive

A brighter blue suit is an eye-catching fit for nautical-themed nuptials at a yacht club or country club. Combined with a crisp white shirt, this look is the perfect preppy pairing for a groom with all-American style. Dress the groomsmen in light gray to complement (but not overshadow) the main man, but give a nod back to his color choice with mix-and-match shirts in varying shades of blue.
