Ines Di Santo Fall/Winter 2017: Whimsical Wedding Dresses Inspired by a French Patisserie
The Designer: Ines Di Santo
The Details: For Fall/Winter 2017, Ines Di Santo was inspired by that very instant and particular feeling of delight you get upon entering a sumptuous bakery: "Polished wood floors, delicate cups of coffee still served with a saucer and gleaming glass cases. The wonder that comes over each of us when it’s our turn to choose," the designer says of her collection. "You’ll find gowns with delicate vines and petite flowers, some with just a touch of sweetness; a sprinkling of gowns that are deceptively simple—like a madeleine—where beauty emerges quietly. Some have a little pinch of spice…” Don't make us choose!
The Looks: As for how that aesthetic translates into her dresses, Di Santo treats each piece as a stunning, high-fashion confection. (Each one looks so incredible you'll almost want to take a bite!) Prepare yourself for totally romantic looks like voluminous baby blue ball gowns, ladylike Alençon lace sheaths and cascading trains for a little whimsy and drama. As Di Santo puts it, these special confections are meant "to be savored slowly surrounded by dear friend and family."
