A Brief History of Wedding Dress Designer Jenny Yoo
What began as a small operation out of her New York City apartment grew into a wildly successful label thanks to Jenny Yoo's chic and stylish approach to wedding fashion. After earning a degree from Parsons School of Design and working as an associate designer for Ann Taylor, Yoo made a shift into bridalwear when she noticed a major gap in the market. Yoo was asked to be a bridesmaid in her best friend's wedding and found herself increasingly disappointed with the limited bridesmaid dress options. She was inspired to start her own label and went on to launch her first bridesmaid dress collection in 2002.
Since her initial venture into the bridal fashion industry, the Jenny Yoo brand has grown significantly to include multiple labels of Jenny Yoo wedding dresses, all of which are sold at the brand's flagship salons in New York and Chicago, in addition to online retailers, including Nordstrom and BHLDN.
