Marrying Away in the US: Disneyland Destination Wedding
If you've always dreamed of having a fairy-tale wedding, then do what thousands of couples do each year -- start your own happily ever after right away by tying the knot at Disneyland Resort. Whether you're into Alice in Wonderland, or just have your heart set on arriving in Cinderella's coach, there's a ceremony and reception site to suit every couple. The most popular choices are Sleeping Beauty's Castle, the "It's a Small World" Mall, and the King Arthur Carrousel -- but the Disney in-house wedding consultants love special requests and can usually accommodate!
What to Know
- Consider having your ceremony and the reception at different sites so that your guests can see more of the resort at your event. Or, for a less expensive option, think about just a bridal tea or a wedding shower on site.
- Get started at least a year or more in advance -- Disney books up quickly!
Residency requirement: None for U.S. citizens
Necessary documents: Couples must obtain a California Marriage License from the Orange County Courthouse. Drivers license, birth certificate or passport is needed, as well as proof of dissolution of your last marriage if one or more parties is divorced.
Note: Both applicants must be present to obtain a license. No blood test is required. The license will be issued at the time of application and is valid immediately for 90 days.
