Our Favorite Wedding-Worthy Ideas From The Knot’s Admire and Be Inspired Party
The question has been popped, the first of many glasses clinked, and friends and family are asking for all the details—you’re engaged and couldn’t be more excited. Then reality sets in: You’ve got a wedding to plan and so many ideas swirling around in your head, you don’t know where to begin. To help, The Knot hosted the Admire and Be Inspired event on November 29 in New York City. We invited engaged couples to celebrate the holiday season and check out the latest in wedding fashions from Allure Bridals, as well as browse creative florals, tablescapes, ceremony displays and more. During the course of the evening, guests enjoyed wine, cocktails, canapes and sweet treats, and likely swapped proposal stories with other to-be-weds. Read on for some of our favorite highlights and inspiration from the night.
Gowns (and Groom Gear!) Galore
For brides-to-be, choosing the dress of your dreams is at the top of your to-do list. To that end, models wore stunning Allure Bridals selections to complement every unique style profile.
For the bride who bucks the rules, look no further than this edgy embroidered jumpsuit featuring on-trend wide legs and a high halter. If you tend more toward a bohemian style, a plunging floral lace gown will suit your romantic side. Pair with ethereal tea-rose-colored bridesmaid dresses, accented with flutter sleeves for a touch of modern whimsy.
Fit for a princess, a classic ball gown with delicate fabric blossoms will make you feel like you’re floating down the aisle. Want to add a bit of bling? Charles & Colvard was at the ready with jewelry featuring super-sparkly and environmentally-friendly moissanite gemstones—perfect to accessorize your gown or even gift to your bestie bridesmaids.
For grooms, models donned two of the top trends in menswear: a luxurious cobalt blue suit and a slate gray tux. An alternative to basic black, these suits can be accessorized with bow ties, pocket squares and palette-coordinating boutonnieres to make the look your own.
Colorful Décor Ideas
Whether guests were looking to create a classic contemporary vibe at their nuptials or something more eclectic, there was some serious style inspo on hand.
A delectable cake display showcased a clean, minimalist look, punched up with vibrantly colored blooms, geometric cake stands and strategically placed tealight candles to add a little extra ambience.
For the bold boho bride, an eye-catching tablescape featured geometric patterns, lucite and stainless steel place settings, bright color-blocked floral centerpieces, and even a sample menu and table numbers for a little extra stationery inspiration.
Nearby, guests could practice walking down the aisle alongside lucite chiavari-style chairs flanked by vivid floral displays.
Plenty of Playful Touches
Using balloons, gift bows and sweet treats, guests got ideas on how to add a festive spirit to their own celebration.
A fanciful multicolored balloon archway greeted partygoers as they arrived—ideal inspo for couples looking to bring a similarly whimsical feel to their venue entrance. Meanwhile, guests posed in front of a glittery photo booth backdrop styled with hundreds of metallic gift bows (a fun DIY project for your own nuptials!) complete with some on-theme holiday props to up the fun factor.
And what’s a holiday party (or wedding reception) without a delectable dessert bar? Guests snacked on rock candy, cupcakes and portable pastry tarts before heading home for the evening with a whole host of inspiration to help ensure their wedding is truly one of the best days of their lives.
