This Earthy New England Wedding Is Seriously Stunning
Growing up on Cape Cod, Lisa always knew that she wanted to get married on the water. Despite moving across the pond, she and Rich planned an understated Newport soiree that showcased New England at its finest—all of the way from London!
With weekly conference calls to Details With Love (the time difference made spontaneous chats nearly impossible) Lisa and Rich pulled off a refined, easy feel for their waterfront nuptials at Castle Hill Inn. The couple exchanged vows under a show-stopping huppah dripping with spray roses, heirloom roses, seeded eucalyptus, dusty miller and thistle by Greenlion Weddings Floral and Event Design. “The huppah and terrace perfectly framed the many sailboats that floated by during the ceremony," says Lisa. “With such incredible natural, ambient beauty, we didn't want to overdesign and steal from incredible location."
A color palette of light pink, white, peach and hints of gold warmed the tented reception while vintage box centerpieces filled with roses, succulents, seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller created a relaxed ambiance. Cream linens with burlap toppers served as a neutral backdrop for the tablescapes and gold-rimmed charges reflected the vintage-chic aesthetic. “I loved the low-key yet lush feeling of all the pink and white tones offset with by the earthier colors of the vintage boxes, burlap and gold," says Lisa.
