Torrey DeVitto is married! The actress, known for roles in shows like Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, and Chicago Med, tied the knot with her husband, director Jared LaPine, on September 14, 2024, in Pullman, Michigan.

The elegant nuptials took place at Innisfree Estate, a luxe bed and breakfast in Michigan's lakeshore area, not far from Grand Rapids. After the wedding day, we caught up with the bride to get the scoop on how she brought her glam look to life in a way that felt like an extension of the historic setting. "I wanted everything—including our venue, my dress, and my hair and makeup—to have a very cozy, elegant and timeless feel," she tells The Knot in an exclusive interview. "I also really wanted my hair and makeup to represent me and who I am. I'm a minimalist when it comes to makeup and hair and didn't want my wedding day to be much different."

Torrey DeVitto's Wedding Hair & Makeup Details

For her wedding makeup and hair, Torrey DeVitto enlisted the help of Lacy Galas and Courtney Klaassen from Blushing Ivory Bridal Co. The trio set up a glam trial before the big day to go over the details, where they perfected the final ensemble. "Torrey truly was a dream bride to work with. She was incredibly genuine, down-to-earth and charismatic," Galas and Klaassen tell us. "After meeting her for the first time, we knew that she would make the perfect Blushing Ivory bride."

A self-proclaimed minimalist, DeVitto wanted her wedding makeup to feel like an enhanced version of her everyday style. "It was so important for me to feel like you could still see my skin through my makeup," she says. "I didn't want anything to look heavy."

To do so, Galas created a sheer makeup base with an airbrush foundation—a wedding makeup hack vendors love. "Torrey has great skin naturally, so we kept the foundation very sheer by applying a thin layer of TEMPTU airbrush makeup to spot correct," Galas explains. "We allowed her freckles to peek through along her nose, and added Charlotte Tilbury's liquid blush to accentuate her cheeks."

She used both matte and shimmery eyeshadow hues from Natasha Denona and Patrick Ta to add depth to the eyes, and completed the look with individual lash clusters. "In our consultation, Torrey mentioned that she was unsure about adding lashes—but as a makeup artist, I strongly recommend individual lash clusters to enhance our clients' eyes," Galas says. "We carefully curated the perfect bridal lash by adding various lengths of clusters in Torrey's lash line. She ended up loving how natural and soft they looked."

Much like her makeup, DeVitto wanted her wedding hair to be a natural, no-fuss look. Klaassen added clip-in Bellami extensions to her tresses, which she styled in loose, effortless waves. "Once the curls were perfected, we locked them into place by using Kenra Volume Spray 25, our favorite hairspray, as well as Big Sexy Hair Weather Proof Frizz Control," Klaassen says. "The final touch was her veil, perfectly framing her bridal style."

Despite all the excitement on the wedding morning, the vendors say, "Torrey was calm and collected on the morning of her wedding. We could tell that she was truly at peace having all of her loved ones in one room."

Looking back, DeVitto says her wedding glam far exceeded her expectations: "I told them that I wanted it to look natural and effortless, and they executed it perfectly."
