Wedding Gown: Flattering Wedding Dress for Full Hips?

Q: I'm somewhat hippy with a very small waist. Everybody tells me to go with an A-line wedding dress, but I don't particularly care for them. Are there any wedding dress alternatives for my figure?

A: Think proportion. Balance wide hips with a wedding dress with an off-the-shoulder bodice or portrait collar. Both will bring the eye up and frame your face. Some appliques or beading around the neckline will also draw attention to your top half. A-line wedding dresses are flattering, but they're certainly not your only choice. Just try to stay away from shiny satin skirts and forego the big butt bow!
