Elizabeth St. John Children Flower Girl Dresses
More About This DesignerVisit Website
Elizabeth, the daughter of a master tailor, has been designing since she was a child. As an apprentice in her mothers workshop, she learned couture sewing techniques first hand while growing up. After graduating with a degree in Environmental Science and Climatology, and years of overseeing conservation projects in the Amazon and tropical forests; she settled in NYC with her husband, John, and launched her first collection in 2002. Her designs reflect her love of a clean, classic aesthetic, both feminine and fashion forward. From concept to runway, minimizing environmental impact is a paramount consideration for all aspects of her company as well. All fabrics are either 100% natural fibers, fully sustainable fibers or 100% recycled, such as the PET satin linings that are made completely from recycled materials. Finally, and most importantly, all of her collections are produced locally, in the DC area, and made to order for each specific client, and all are hand finished, which is not only environmentally friendly, but also provides for exquisite fit and tailoring. Elizabeth is very active with social and conservation charities and serves on the board of several non-profits, both local and international. Proceeds from the sale of every item from her collections goes to support the work of select charities. Currently, in addition to her Silver Spring, MD Studio, her collections are available for purchase through authorized boutiques throughout the United States and overseas.
