He continued to be so easy to work with and spent time with us on the phone before our wedding day, helping us with the flow of the evening and various songs for each part of the night (Also for the two different cultures that united — Arabic & Italian). Once the night began, he was awesome start to finish. The dance floor was packed all night and he really knew how to work the room. It's impossible to keep track of how many guests said our wedding was a blast, in large part to the great work done by Aziz! DJ Chuck made every call exciting, was always upbeat to talk about our day and made us feel like we were the only event he had. He was always available for any questions and very responsive. Our wedding day was incredible - DJ Chuck kept the party going all night and everyone had a blast. Our guests still talk about how awesome our DJ was. We weren't sure on some types of music to play at cocktail hour and he was super helpful in suggesting a country vibe cocktail hour since it was a summer wedding. We loved this idea! He created the perfect vibes for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. If you want a party and a DJ who can incorporate music from around the world, Julio is your guy!

We can't count the number of times our guests complimented our DJ. When we met with Paul and explained that it was important for us to find a mix of traditional weddings songs and more modern songs that would appeal to our younger guests, he assured us that this wouldn't be a problem and he delivered. We provided Paul with a list of several songs we wanted to include but, Paul knew exactly when to play them, what other songs to include and how to keep our guests dancing. Our guests, of all ages and all generations had an amazing time. The dance floor was packed for hours! A week before the wedding, we decided we wanted a more unique entrance for our wedding party. We asked Paul how his "golden voice" was, we wanted our bridal party and groomsmen introduced like sports teams and he nailed it! The energy was so high and our guests loved it. You will not be disappointed if you hire Paul Leonard!

He was newer to their team at the time so we did our due diligence and checked out what work we could find from him online and everything seemed right in line with what we wanted out of a DJ for our day. I can't even begin to tell you how happy both my husband and myself are that we did chose DJ Paul! We had some tougher requests like to start our entrance song at a specific point and for him to introduce us into the venue at a different point, and he absolutely crushed it! He was extremely punctual, friendly and personable also. Not only was he a pleasure to interact with, he set up an AMAZING playlist. After the wedding we had many friends rave about him and the playlist he created and also how he transitions songs into one another so perfectly! The dance floor was on fire all night and I really have DJ Paul to thank for that. I recommend him wholeheartedly and am confident if you choose him for your day that he will help make it just as amazing as he did with ours!

We had a very short list of must-plays and from there he worked his magic - the biggest compliment was our guests' assumption that this was our own personal playlist. That's how well he read us from our meetings. Beyond the music, his table and lighting setup is aesthetically beautiful. We also used Dimitri's sleek mirror photo booth, which was a huge hit with our guests, and we loved getting all of the images the next day to re-live the night from our guests' point of view. Additionally, Dimitri provided up-lighting and placed the lights perfectly to accent our cocktail hour and reception spaces beautifully. Overall, Dimitri was such a pleasure to work with. He is an excellent communicator and made sure to check in with us often during the year of planning. Dimitri is truly talented and it's very clear that he loves what he does. We highly recommend Dimitri, he is wonderful and such a crowd pleaser!

Special shoutout to DJ Danny, who absolutely CRUSHED it. He met with us several times throughout the planning process on Zoom and was super thorough about the details in our timeline. He gave us plenty of freedom to structure our wedding ceremony and reception according to our vision, but also lended his expertise when needed. He took our playlists and made them even better because he was attentive to the mood of the room and mixed hit after hit. In our case, it was quite a lot of 80s dance songs for the millennial / Gen X crowd. No intrusive shout-outs, just the announcements needed to keep everything going smoothly. Our guests had a great time. My favorite moment of the night was seeing a FULL dance floor and lots of empty chairs. I didn't want it to end! Thank you Danny & the 617 team!!

The quality was amazing!! It also takes up very little room as it has a slim/modern look. Overall I have been receiving nonstop compliments about DJ Jimmie from my guests. He is the best DJ I’ve ever seen at a wedding!! Also his attention to me and my husband on that day is unmatched. He constantly kept his eye on us. He was an additional wedding attendant that I didn’t know I needed. It’s clear to see that Jimmie is a top professional DJ. He puts a lot of effort in his work and he executes it flawlessly. h. I received loads of compliments from the guests who attended the wedding also. I don't think I stopped dancing once! I highly recommend 617 Weddings and specifically JC to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding!

They weren’t available for our date so we got JC. We provided a playlist for cocktail hour that wasn't played at all. When I asked JC about this he said "I was saving some for dinner" that's not what we asked for and we provided other songs for dinner. I could have let that go but then the wrong song was played for our introduction. Complete generic song was played almost to the point that our guests were saying "does this guy know who's wedding he's at? Did he pull the wrong papers?" And we weren't introduced correctly. JC didn't even say our last name. "Mr and Mrs John Mack" Mack is my husbands middle name. It was to be Mr and Mrs John mack brown. (Our intro song was return of the mack so we wanted his middle name in the entrance). We had spoke on the phone the day before and ironed this out with JC verbalizing understanding and seeming like he understood what we wanted. My guests were also put off by the ad he did for himself that they said was very abrupt and too showy/made it about himself. There were so many songs that we put on the please play list that weren't played. I had to ask JC to play a couple of songs that my guests had requested on their RSVP card. The dance floor was great and hopping all night but I shouldn't have had to direct him so much after spending hours competing the lists on the online planner they provided. What still bothers me the most is that we wanted one slow song before the last dance of the night that never happened. It was truly a song and moment my husband and I wanted to have together and we never got to because JC couldn't follow direction. Our couples also didn't get a dance together which was important to us. Again. This was reviewed just the day before on the phone call we had. I did say if the dance floor is wild let it go and play the slow song at the end before the last dance song, but it was never played AT ALL. JC also offered my (sober) photo for her “party favors” and winked. Not sure what that was about but she told me she felt very uncomfortable after that. We felt that JC was on auto pilot, didn't care about us at all and had his assistant do that work, yet the assistant didn't know what was happening. I should have known when every prep call was hard to get and when I did talk to JC he seemed distracted. Biggest regret of our wedding was hiring JC to DJ our wedding.

Also major kudos for his expertise in making sure my wedding train and veil were placed perfectly for our photos!! Everyone we spoke with from 617 Weddings was fantastic and so helpful. They are communicative and very detail oriented to make sure your event is everything you dreamed and more!

My husband and I are not jazzed about getting our photos taken, but John made the windy afternoon fun for us, despite my growing irritation toward my veil (haha). When our time was running out and we still had not done the parent dances, John stayed on for extra time and did not charge us the full price of the upgraded package. Every person who was in contact with John throughout the day had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Thank you John!!

booking in JUNE of 2020, however when the event game he left us high and dry. My MIL had called 617 to add a photo booth to our package and they had a hard time finding our event. Once they did find the event the wrong DJ (DJ Chuck- WHO IS AWESOME) was listed as the dj. I called 5 times to get in touch with Jimmie, first I was told he was "at the movies", then that "he was away". I finally had to resort to email to get in touch and then was still given a complete run around and he would not answer my question of who our DJ was going to be. Fast forward TO THE WEEK OF OUR WEDDING, he called my cell phone at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve after I had been expecting his call all day. So it was very clear that he was waiting until I would be busy celebrating Christmas Eve with family. He left a very disingenuous voicemail finally admitting he was not going to be our dj, even though that is who we originally booked and paid for. If Espo wanted to have even a shred of credibility for switching the DJ on us he should've been honest and upfront from the beginning rather than giving us the run around. * We were given the photo booth for free to attempt and compensate for the absolute lack of communication and let down of changing our DJ a week before the wedding.* We were then assigned DJ CHUCK who is INCREDIBLE! From the moment he first connected with us we could tell he was very genuine and excited to be our DJ. In our opinion DJ Chuck should ditch the dead weight of Jimmie Espo and get his own business!! Chuck had a clear vision and played excellent music for us all night. Our guests are still talking about him! He kept the flow of the night moving and worked so nicely with the venue. Our wedding coordinator also said that he is her favorite to work with at 617. I feel very sad and let down that I had to leave such a terrible review because we were excited to have booked 617 weddings. We were very lucky to have Dj Chuck, but overall we were completely let down by 617 weddings. I would under no circumstance recommend Jimmie Espo. CHUCK ALL THE WAY.

Case took it all in stride and absolutely delivered in the best way possible. With an extremely long engagement because of covid, Case was always in contact making sure we were always on the same page. Even texts days before the wedding about changes in plans were met with calmness and reassurance that he would do whatever it took to make it perfect. The Hotel staff could not stop talking about the wedding at brunch the next day and said they've never seen such an insane dance floor. Jimmie took extra care to ensure we were able to personalize the night as much as possible and his packages were truly amazing - and 617 provides so much more than music. They provide an experience and the night of your life. They also provide lighting options, sparklers, and even a photo booth! We used the sparklers for our first dance and people have not stopped talking about it. And the photobooth was full all night long! Jimmie also took care of us as the bride and groom - ensuring that we were able to take time to eat and enjoy our wedding and not getting lost in the night. Once music started, he truly played the greatest series of songs ever put together. As a bride, I kept saying okay next song I will go do this - but I couldn't find a break in the amazing music to do it. Instead, I stayed on the dance floor the entire evening and ENJOYED every single moment. I cannot thank Jimmie and his team enough for a truly AMAZING night. The best thing you can do for your wedding is choose Jimmie and 617 Weddings as your vendor!

The uplighting we received was a bluish purple instead of a soft pink like we requested, it was not even remotely close. The DJ ignored the requests of everyone at my wedding but me even though I indicated several time I wanted people to be able to make requests. The worst part? I contact Jimmie Espo about these issues and he choose to ignore my emails, just like he did when we were in our rebooking nightmare. This company doesn’t care about anything other than getting your money.
