Posting this a bit late-I was hoping to give her a chance to make it right. But please BEWARE & read this before hiring.
People probably think I made this who disaster up, I wish I did. Read until the end.
The beginning process was good, we di...d premarital counseling as well & enjoyed it. The communication was great right up to the wedding. Tammy fell ill right before our August wedding, we were unable to reach her for about a week before our wedding, which made me nervous. She checked in a couple days before and explained her situation & that she would be sure to make her part of our wedding effortless.
As I was doing first looks with my dad & husband at our extremely intimate ceremony a random man comes walking up in dirty clothing, & introduced himself as Tammy's husband. That was fine- just odd. Thankfully I was so in wedding bliss, I laughed off the "little" things.
Before the ceremony she ran through the process, where she had my husbands name wrong, which I found surprising since we did our premarital counseling through her & other things where she clearly had to read & spell his name correctly. Multiple times we had to correct her, his name is RYLEY not Kyle. During the process had our witnesses sign our marriage license (my sister & my father in law- should have been an easy process) & my photographer snapped lots of pictures, she was specific for them to write very clear, which (as you can see in our pictures) they did.
Then the ceremony- she called my husband the wrong name multiple times, & there were many other awkward moments during, everyone there was very close family & very happy that we all laughed it off, no big deal. She signed our marriage license, we checked over to make sure everything looked perfect (multiple times) she said she would file it the next day & left.
Weeks later- waiting on our marriage certificate, we finally get it in the mail only to find our witnesses are COMPLETELY WRONG. My sister's name is Danny & Father in laws is Dave, no idea where the names Tom and Lakanisha (as put on our wedding certificate) came from?So before freaking out at Tammy, I call the county to make sure it wasn't their issue. Nope, the lady on the phone said she had personally witnessed Tammy sign their names (incorrectly) & file it. So the only way it could be fixed is if we get a new certificate, mail it to Tammy so she can mail it back, and then we would have to mail it to the people who ACTUALLY witnessed our wedding (as they live out of state). OR get married ALL OVER AGAIN, you have got to be kidding me.
Finally, I email Tammy about the whole ordeal (since she isn't answering her phone) only to get back this-
"This is Tammy's husband
the police have allowed me to answer
a couple of emails before they take this computer
Tammy has pasted on. Scott"
Naturally, I'm freaking out. Now she's dead?! After weeks of panic and talking to the county (who can see death certificates and nothing was filed under her name), I sound like a nut case. Finally, I let it simmer.
I come onto Thumbtack months later and see that she spoke to another customer that she was in the hospital & her ex-husband had ruined communication with some of her future weddings & past customers. So finally I decide that I will contact again, nothing.
So now my wedding certificate will forever have the WRONG witnesses to one of the biggest days of our life (since we obviously are not going to go and get married AGAIN).
Wish I could make something this crazy up.
