Alexis made my first dance dreams a reality <3
TL;DR shes amazing, you can’t go wrong asking her to choreograph and teach you a dance for any occasion!
We were looking for a wedding dance choreographer for our destination wedding in Tuscany.... I grew up dancing Chinese ethnic dance and ballet and knew I wanted our dance to be more of a performance rather than a traditional first dance.
We found Alexis on the Thumbtack app, she is one of the highest and most reviewed in our LA area. She was so easy and fun to work with! She challenged us with difficult dance moves but also simplified things so we can learn them step by step. My now-husband does not have much dance experience and Alexis was able to teach him not only his steps, but how to envision his moves to make him dance more naturally. She also taught him to lead in our dance.
I wanted a romantic princess-like first dance and she understood my vision and choreographed until we were satisfied with the results. We chose Beauty and the Beast as our song and Alexis helped us cut the music to match our dance.
We ended up needing 10 sessions to learn and perfect our dance. And Alexis was extremely flexible with my challenging work schedule. We also witnessed another couple learning a Kpop dance with Alexis prior to one of our lessons! Can’t wait to attend some of her group dance classes!
