management just told us how much they trust their employees. That's fine, we don't want you to not trust your employees, but we do need our problems solved as well. Very unprofessional, and the source of 99% of our wedding headaches. Would not recommend.

up my wedding dress and veil as we were moving. I kept my dress safely in the bag that they provided. When I went for my first alteration here in Oakville, my seamstress and I took it out of the bag and she was inspecting the dress before I tried it on to see what she was working with. As she was inspecting underneath the dress we both noticed the 1st and 2nd layer of tulle had singe marks/was melted and left holes. They definitely had the steamer on too high or it was too close to the dress and it looks burnt/melted in areas with large holes! There is a thick layer of crinoline and I believe they steamed that first and didn’t change the setting for the more delicate tulle or just steamed it too close. I am actually infuriated. We spent almost $3000 at this store (bought my dress which was over $2200 and bought my veil which was almost $500) and they either have inexperienced people working there steaming/pressing their dresses or someone really messed up and wasn’t honest enough to tell me. Either way someone was extremely dishonest and did not own up to this huge mistake. I am so upset. I promise on my life that I picked up my dress from them, kept it in the bag the entire time and took it out with my seamstress. I obviously did not inspect the layers when I picked it up. Not trust worthy and extremely upset.

I was surprised. I felt so comfortable and not rushed there at all. They have dresses for every body type and any budget. The only complaint I have, which is important to mention, was with billing so if you buy a dress at Alliance be sure to keep all of your paper work, as the lady who does the collecting is quite chaotic. I had even paid for more than 50% of my dress upfront, set up credit card payments for the rest and stored the dress at the store! However when she called me she spoke to me as if I had run off with the dress and left the country because THEY had failed to take out one payment on the scheduled date. I also overheard her have similar telephone conversations with other brides while I was in the store for fittings and pickup. They seem to be pretty disorganized when it comes to billing and collecting. If you keep all of your papers and records of payment you'll be fine but I won't lie it did leave a bit of a sour taste in my mouth after such an amazing experience. I would still reccomend Alliance Bridal to all of my friends.

to narrow it down. Lots of styles to fit any budget. Most of the ones I liked were 400$-ish and my budget was 1500$! They don't work on commission so they definitely don't push. I recommend Alliance to everybody!

uding the second trip, where they did a second fitting, recommended a great place for us to go for lunch, then did a final fitting, and we took the dress home that day. All of the ladies that helped us were fantastic too, not too overbearing, but we didn't have to hunt anyone down either.

t of course, I had a number of others pulled also. It was difficult to see the full picture for some of the dresses because I am a plus size bride and a lot of their more chic dresses only go up to a size 8. I was still able to try them on, it wasn't easy to picture myself in them. I left that day without a dress but with 6 on my wish list. I went to another bridal salon and although they had so many sizes of each dress, none compared to the looks of the one at Alliance (plus the prices at Alliance were very comparable for what I thought were way prettier dresses). When I went to look for my bridal party dresses, we decided to go back there. I should say, for bridal party, their dresses are lacking and seem dated. While I was there, I thought I might as well try on a couple of the originals because again, it's quite a drive for me to get there. One of my favourite dresses ended up being discontinued and they were selling the sample dress.... It was GORGEOUS, perfect condition, fit me perfectly after some alterations was only $700! Going back for alterations with the lovely Italian woman was good! Everything went smooth and they listened and understood what we were asking for (less poof in sections, etc etc). If you're willing to take a trip if you live in Ottawa, I would definitely suggest going to take a look. Their dresses are gorgeous. The only thing to keep in mind if you are a plus size, not everything you love you'll be able to fit in to but if you get the right girl helping you, they'll definitely try!

and cost less. Worth the drive from Ottawa.
