Based on what I saw, I figured they would be in high demand and it was a long shot. To my delight, they were available! I received a timely response and the details of the packages offered. Now, let’s be real, this service is pricey and many will wonder is it worth it? My fiancé at the time, now husband, was one of these persons. However, I knew that documenting our wedding in this way was very important to me, and he supported my decision. Soon thereafter, we signed on the dotted line and it was on the books! Before the big day, we were asked to complete a lengthy and detailed questionnaire that was intended to help the team get to know us, our story, and determine the style of the video they would create for us. Along with this, they provided a wonderful online resource for us to pick the perfect music for the highlight film. The form was extensive and took us hours to complete, but our answers created the vision and allowed Amor in Motion to make what we envisioned a reality. On the day of the wedding, we had Peter and Jose working with us, and they were absolutely wonderful! They were quiet and in the background capturing all the action, and at the same time, ready to jump in and help as we took wedding party photos (Shout out to Jose for holding all the pashminas…lol). Eric and I felt so comfortable working with both of them. They went above and beyond to capture the right scene, even as much as climbing a tree to get the perfect shot. Their positivity and enjoyment of what they were doing was evident. They are both experts in their craft, and we felt so reassured and pleased that we had this company documenting the most special day in our lives. We knew the final product would be incredible. And we were right! The video that was created for us is nothing short of spectacular. It is everything we had hoped for and more. These amazing artisans were able to take hours and hours of raw footage and create a 5-minute compilation of our wedding that speaks directly to our hearts. They honored the special moments, focused on unique details, highlighted the venue, decor, our guests, and featured the promises we made to each other that day in the most beautiful way. I was living in California at the time and planning a Boston wedding so I relied on social media almost exclusively for my vendor research. In viewing their work on Instagram and Vimeo, I was immediately impressed with the quality of videos that clearly demonstrated their videographers and editors were experienced and skilled at their trade. I was also drawn to the modern style of Amor films as a whole, coupled with the wide range of wedding day elements particular to each couple. Mari’s response to my preliminary inquiry was concise and informative, which indicated to me that the company was reliable and expected the same from their clientele. On our wedding day, the Amor videographers were professional and executed their job to a “T”. They captured all of the important moments of our big day without making their presence obvious or otherwise intrusive. My husband and I were OVERJOYED with the outcome of both the teaser and highlight reel. We gave Amor almost complete creative discretion to create the films (neither of us are particularly artistic or knowledgeable about film production). Going off of a questionnaire we had completed in advance of the wedding, as well as the raw footage itself, the Amor team produced a teaser and highlight reel that perfectly captured our personalities as well as the upbeat and modern vibe of our wedding day. I absolutely loved the music in the highlight reel (selected by Amor) and so impressed with how well the shots flowed with the song. Overall, my husband and I were thrilled with the final videos that expertly reflected our personalities as well as the tone and vibe of our wedding festivities. I had seen their videos so I fully trusted them and didn't have to go through a long consultation process, which I was grateful for. Our venue was almost 2 hours from Chicago and they got there on time and ready to film. While filming they caught mostly candid moments and some moving poses while we were taking pictures. The guys/videographers were really fun and I felt comfortable with them being around. We got our highlight film and it is absolutely amazing. Their editing is fabulous, they added in a man with the most beautiful voice quoting an E. E. Coming poem which they did at their own creative liberty. We are blown away by our experience. Very professional, timely, talented, and comfortable.
