Anne's Custom Catering

d is American. We wanted to have a fusion style meal which reflected both our cultures. I had some ideas of dishes in mind but not a full menu planned. Other caterers asked me to write down a full menu because "it seemed like I already knew everything". Not Anne though. She understood what I was looking for and suggested some custom dishes. There was one dish concept that I knew I wanted on the menu (butter chicken skewers) but it was just an idea. There was no recipe but when we went for our tasting, it was exactly what I had in mind! I was so impressed by Anne's understand of the multiple cuisines. She understood how different spices work in the Indian cuisine which can actually be quite complex. Her meals weren't overwhelmingly spiced with just garam masala. Her matar paneer reminded me of home! And the fusion she created on stuffed tomatoes (bharela tamatar) was such a huge hit! I can go on and on about her wonderful cooking but let me wrap up by saying she is not just an impressive chef but also an incredible baker (she made the best lavender lemon cakes and macarons for our wedding dessert) and an artist. Have you seen her instagram? Her food looks so beautiful! :) Combine Anne's food with the personality of her wonderful husband Joseph and you have got a super couple here. Joseph was out officiant. I wrote out my entire ceremony and was looking for someone to basically MC the event. The $500+ costs of officiants did not make sense to me so I reached out to Jan for suggestions on cheaper officiants while explaining the situation. Enter Joseph. This man is incredible. He brings in so much personality. With what I had explained to Jan, he really did not need to do anything outside of MC ing the event. But he went the extra mile to add his own personal touch to the event which made me to memorable. He stopped by after the ceremony to give one last piece of advice to me and my husband. Jan really understood what I was looking for when she connected me with Joseph. Now, let me talk about the magnificent Jan. I may run out of character space because there aren't enough good words I can say about this lady. Let me summarize by saying that she was like a mother to me with figuring out how to get the most of my budget. She helped with whatever issue. There were vendors that said to me "well we are not a budget company", but not Jan. Our budget wasn't super low but not too extravagant either. I told Jan what I had planned and that food was one of the most important parts. She then spent an hour on the phone with me helping me save money where no one would notice (like gold rims water goblets etc.) Not once did she make me feel stupid or silly. She was an excellent communicator and was with me from Day 1 to Day -1 (brunch) and I am so excited to treat her to coffee when I see her next. The three of them are simply fantastic. There were no left overs from dinner because people ate it all :) Numerous people asked for their card. From the indian fusion menu to the southern brunch. EVERYTHING was phenomenal. THANK YOU Anne, Joseph, and Jan for making our wedding ABSOLUTELY UNFORGETTABLE!

nal and efficient. The cakes were amazing! We definitely had more cupcakes than we needed when the night began, but ALL of them were eaten before the end of the reception. People went back for seconds! They were also extremely accommodating when it came to dietary restrictions and made sure that every guest in attendance had a full meal that would work for them. Even my guests with the most restrictive allergies were provided with a full meal. Amazing service. They really went above and beyond!

could accommodate vegan and gluten-free diets so all of our guests could eat well. Eat well they did! The menu offered is absolutely stellar and there are SO many good options to choose from (every single thing we tried at our tasting was delicious). The staff went above and beyond to help us find a menu that fit our needs and we still had guests talking to us about how excellent the food was a week after the wedding. Not to mention that the original plans for our wedding cake with another vendor fell through at the last minute, and Anne pulled together a beautiful AND delicious vegan wedding cake in <48 hours before the reception. The catering staff who brought the food to our venue were kind, fun, and professional, too. I'd recommend Anne's to any bride and/or groom looking for a wedding caterer! We had a wonderful experience and the food was so good!

I called/reached out to other companies that never got back to me or wouldn't take a call with me to discuss the menu, just directed me to the menu on their website and told me to let them know what I chose. I can't say enough good things about how helpful and patient Jan was with us - since the food tasting comes later on, Jan was quite literally the only reason I chose ACC above others...and I'm so glad I did. The food was absolutely PHENOMENAL. We were originally just thinking about having a charcuterie table and a veggie platter for our cocktail hour because it's was easy but then we had our tasting and Anne blew us away. We changed everything about the cocktail hour and judging by the reviews from our guests, it was a good thing we did. The dinner was outstanding, and Anne's husband was at our reception helping facilitate everything with the waitstaff. So happy I chose Chef Anne, they are a very well run business with incredible food to back it up.

t have warmers for the meals for an hour between the cocktail hour and plating of the dinner. NOT TO MENTION the bride has a dairy allergy and they made the wedding cake with dairy, after multiple communications stating the need for nondairy cake as well as a no dairy meal. Be careful working with Jan as well as Anne as they will ruin the food as well as the catering for your special day. They are a one trick pony and can not make any simple specialty meals.

was 1.5 hrs out of Asheville. Pat did a walk through of our venue, brought everything for setup, took down at the end of the night and took care of everything in between. He made the event so easy and carefree for us, which allowed us to enjoy the night with our guests. Anne's had great vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options which accommodated the dietary restrictions of our guests. Everyone raved about the food, especially the bacon-wrapped dates! We definitely recommend hiring Anne's to cater your event! Thanks Pat and your team for everything!!

The beef could be cut with your fork, the salad had figs and other amazing ingredients. Our family is still talking about the asparagus, cauliflower and the mashed potatoes. They were all so flavorful. I truly can not say enough about how wonderful they both were as well how wonderful their food is. I truly wish they were closer as I would be using them for all of our family events They were the perfect ending to a beautiful day.

While the food, presentation and professionalism of the servers was outstanding, the best take away was the crew (especially Pat) going above and beyond to help us before during and after the wedding. We can't say enough good things about using them and I am happy I relied on the reviews I read a year ago when I chose Anne's Custom Catering!

They were professional, friendly, attentive, communicative, and just great overall. It was obvious that they enjoy what they do, and they create edible masterpieces. Her talents are unique in how far reaching they are with her creativity in icing and decorating cakes being just as insane as the fusion of flavors that work together perfectly with out fail. She was helpful in offering ideas when I couldn't decide on something, and she was resourceful when my budget didn't allow me to do what I initially dreamed up. Anne also has a fantastic team behind her that makes the service and clean up of the food fluid and stress free for the bridal party and guests. s which was definitely what we were going for. She was occasionally tough to catch via email for planning but that was the only negative in my book. The food was simply amazing. Everything we chose was delicious from start to finish with extra little touches of surprise flavors that led to a quite sophisticated, excellent meal. Our wedding cake was stunning and tasted delicious! I can't WAIT to thaw and eat our anniversary tier--it was that good! We had many compliments on the food and would definitely choose her again if we could do it again! Thanks Anne! :)
