or her wedding! We initially only booked Jody for our wedding, and then decided it would be so sweet to have videos of the speeches from the rehearsal dinner. Jody was SO friendly that many of my friends and family at both the rehearsal and reception didn’t realize he was a videographer until they noticed his camera 😂 We haven’t even gotten our video yet, and I just know once we do, that it’ll confirm that booking Jody was the BEST decision I made while planning my wedding. To mimic what other reviewers have said, 5 stars just isn’t enough for this guy. I could really get long winded with this review, but remember only reading short reviews myself while planning. So I’ll just reiterate how incredible, kind, fun, and talented Jody is; BOOK HIM!

! Not only is he amazing at his job, he is one of the most genuine humans I’ve ever met and our friends and family were raving about him and his professionalism long after the wedding. As you can imagine the wedding day can easily become chaotic or overwhelming but he came in, took ownership, had a vision, and made my husband and I feel like the most important people in the world. There are so many examples I could list of how Jody had a knack for carving out special moments and finding time for us to breathe throughout the day but one that sticks out to me is when my husband sent a gift and flowers to me in my suite while getting ready. Jody could tell that I wanted (and needed) a moment to myself so he had asked everyone to go to the next room to give me a moment and for him to capture that moment on film. I felt so protected and loved. I knew Jody would get some amazing footage but I could tell how much he loved his job and wanted to make sure I was able to soak up all of the little moments throughout the day. I could go on and go about how wonderful he is but let’s not forget the quality of his work -it is truly second to none. Jody had meetings with us leading up to the wedding to get an understanding of who we are, what we want, etc. We trusted him and boy did it pay off! Our wedding trailer video makes us cry (happy tears) every time we watch it (which is pretty much every other day). I seriously cannot recommend Jody / Arbor Films enough! 12/10 stars. Worth every penny.

ortray our love story in the films. The day of our wedding, Jody was so much more than our videographer. He was so helpful, never hesitating to go find someone or something if there was a need. He was such a hype man and pushed us out of our comfort zones to capture some incredible moments that we otherwise wouldn’t have. We’ve already received our trailer, and it is absolutely stunning! He even went above and beyond to license our first dance song so that it could be used in our films. We are so thankful that he was responsible for documenting our day, and we can’t wait to see the final product. There’s no doubt in my mind that it will be the most beautiful & meaningful portrayal of our wedding day. Jody is such a kind, energetic, and wildly talented individual, and hiring him was absolutely one of our best decisions.

h and through. Once I found out he was filming weddings, I knew we couldn’t have anyone else but him film our day. He was absolutely amazing. Jody called us two weeks before and spent a solid hour talking through everything with us. He brought a thoughtfulness and intentionality that made us even more certain that we’d picked the best of the best.  Not only did he help walk us through the “planned spontaneity” that wedding filming is, but he made crucial suggestions that really enhanced our day. One major one being: suggesting a “last dance” after all guests left to prepare for our sparkler exit. And WOW that was one of our absolute favorite moments, that he of course captured perfectly. Onto our wedding day…we mean it when we say: Jody was our favorite person there (and we have amazing family and friends!). But he really was our saving grace. He protected us from any stress, was a incredibly helpful and joy-filled presence, and made an unforgettable impression on all of our bridal party and guests. And of course - did an FABULOUS job capturing moments and creating a flawless video. I can’t tell you how many people asked us about him with raving reviews. He won over everyone! One example of Jody being AMAZING was right before our first look. We made it clear we wanted it to be just us, but in the emotion of the day our moms were insisting on being there to see it. I was so overwhelmed by everything that I was about to fold, ...but Jody saw what was going on and with incredible grace and tact, promised them he’d do his job well in capturing it, but made it clear I was going with him alone. I can’t describe how protected and loved I felt in that moment, and our moms felt respected as well. He really saved the day in this type of manner countless times, and always with an amazing execution. He worked with us to capture the unique vision we had for our film, was absolutely excellent the day of in ALL ways (keeping us on time, making sure moments were accounted for, coaching us through where to go and how to help him get shots), and really put us at ease every step of the way. I seriously cannot recommend Arbor Films enough. On your day you spend the most time with your photo and video people, and you want them to be someone who isn’t just good at their craft, but is able to be aware of all that is happening and take care of you in the midst. Jody is all this and a million times more.

he makeup artist, Jody, and myself were all talking about traveling, life, and just casual conversation. He stepped out to shoot some footage of the bridesmaids and when he did the makeup artist asked “how long have y’all been friends?” I said, “Other than meeting to discuss the wedding day, we’ve never talked.” The makeup artist was so surprised. She thought I knew him my entire life! He is the definition of friendly and kind! And they sure know how to get down on the dance floor with camera gear! When you book with Arbor films, you are booking with real human beings who will work hard to deliver, above and beyond, what your expectations may be. By far, the best “purchase” of the entire wedding day. They could make a wedding in a Walmart parking lot look magical.
