were happy with the overall flow of the music. At our request he played a combination of contemporary music and classical Brazilian guitar. The ceremony music was absolutely wonderful, it was romantic (Band of Horses and Chet Atkins) and gave it a very personal feeling. For the cocktail hour he played a lively combination of Brazilian and contemporary stylings that kept the mood light. Multiple guests approached us afterwards to compliment his playing and the atmosphere it added to the venue.
His repertoire is truly impressive and having also taken guitar lessons from Austin I have seen him play everything from traditional wedding music and classical to rock and folk / finger picking. He is a consummate professional and he made our day that much more special!

I met Austin Charnis at the New York State School of Music at Fredonia. He was a music major for classical guitar and I majored in education. He lived across the hall and would practice his classical guitar all night after going to guitar class...
all day. One evening I mentioned to Austin that "some day you are going to play at my wedding." Five years later, in Ithaca NY, Austin was able to make our wedding a real experience. I gave him a play list of songs from Pachelbel to Led Zeppelin! He was able to professionally develop each song and make it a wonderful melody for our pre-ceremony, through the ceremony and precessional.

Austin Charnis is a classical guitarist who has been playing for over 20 years.
He studied music performance at SUNY Fredonia and received his BA in Music Business in 2009.
Performing professionally for over 10 years, Austin has worked with dozens of couples to provide colorful and unique music for ceremonies and cocktail hours in Westchester, New York City, the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas.
His repertoire features Traditional Classical and South American selections, Classic Rock, Latin/Jazz standards & Blues/Bluegrass/Country tunes, and he can learn just about any song you'd like!
