Bakers Cottage Cakes is a boutique bakery located in Oviedo, FL, specializing in creating custom cakes for weddings and other special events. Additionally, this bakery offers a range of desserts for important occasions. You may call on Michelle, the founder of this business, to create one-of-a-kind confections for your wedding table. Michelle is originally from Seattle, WA, and spent time in her grandmother's Suquamish Reservation restaurant. She earned a degree from the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design in Syosset, NY. After Michelle started a family, she returned to her passion for the culinary arts. She completed a degree in baking and pastry with an externship working for the Swan and Dolphin under Executive Pastry Chef Laurent Branlard. After this, this skilled graduate became the head pastry chef for Foodie Catering in Orlando, FL. In August 2015, Michelle took her accumulated experience and training and established Bakers Cottage Cakes to provide cake artistry services. Bakers Cottage Cakes offers custom cakes for your wedding as well as groom's cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts. These confections come with stands, accessories, and table decorations with delivery and setup. Additionally, Michelle offers dairy-free, gluten-free, and nut-free options.

rd of their reputation for outstanding wedding cakes. I WAS NOT READY! They set us up with a table full of cake, creams, frostings, fillings … the list goes on! And said okay we are going to leave you two alone for a few and let you have a date. It was so much fun and the mixing and matching was incredible. We took notes and truly had a blast. After some time they came back and sat with us explaining everything we wanted. Helping us build from the ground up OUR wedding cake. When all was said and done we left knowing we found our Cake people. Fast forward to our wedding day the cake arrived without a hitch, and they added flowers from our actual wedding to the cake on site. It was stunning! Simple and elegant. Beautiful AND DELICIOUS!
Having been to a number of weddings, let’s be real. The cake can sometimes be overlooked, but by george, Baker Cottage Cakes took it to a whole new level! Everyone …. EVERYONE! Had cake and loved it! … RAVED about it. Not only did it taste as amazing as we imagined, the cake itself was stunning!!! Friends were posing with it.
Long story short Don’t sleep on Bakers Cottage Cakes! It will elevate your event and change lives!

onfirmed 3 times with the owner and the assistant upon delivery of the cake to follow up with coordinator and flower vendor to provide guidance on where to insert flowers. This did not happened. After the event we let the owner know via email about the issues only for her to call us to say that wrong expectations were set because they had a new employee. Considering that we set expectations verbally and written with both assistant and owner.
We did not even receive an apology just a thank you for letting us know. The cake itself was supposed to have a layer of guava just to be overpowered by the frosting of the cake where it was discussed during tasting that this would not be the case.
Very disappointed with this business.

Mr. Silva, In your email, you specified that your flowers were going to be delivered to your hotel the day before your wedding and that someone would bring them to your venue before 4 pm on the day of your wedding.

t was delivering the flowers to the venue the day of your wedding, but the timeline had not changed.
You asked us to deliver your cake by 4 pm.
We arrived 3:49 and stayed a total of 30 minutes, when we finally had to leave.
Upon arrival the flowers were not there. I walked around looking for someone to speak with. I asked the banquet manager and they didn’t know where anyone was but also let me know, there were no flowers.
Please note, We add flowers to our cakes as a courtesy but when schedules don’t align, the florist will always happily add their flowers to our cakes themselves.
However, we cannot be held responsible for the delivery of your flowers and it was impossible for us to aid in adding them to your cake, because they were not available to do so.
When I received your email the day after your wedding, I did call immediately. I also did apologize for being a source of stress on your wedding day.
After speaking about the flowers, your wife did mention the design and to see where the miscommunication may have happened, we went over the details of your design from your invoice verbatim. The hand painted flowers you mentioned was scratched when we met for your tasting due to budget restrictions. The details describe “light muted pastel smears” on your cake that would have a final scraping post adding the smears to assure the surface of your cake was smooth. We did this. Your wife agreed that the written description of the design was what you both received and mentioned that had the flowers been placed on the cake, she would have felt differently.
The flavor of your cake had not been an issue until I didn’t offer a refund.
Researching you further, there’s a pattern of behavior where you have scored many companies (nearly a dozen) with 1-Star reviews. I can only hope people will see through your senseless review for what it is and let our reviews that we have received over the years speak for themselves.

their entire cake and frosting options. She provides an entire line of flavors that are quintessential and affordable or unique and artisanal. You get to mix and max to your palate and budget. Where Michelle really shines, is her designs. We sat for quite some time looking at all their mockup and photos and what really caught my eyes were her sugar flower work. She has three-tiered cake with large, sugar flower magnolias. They look like, and are, hand crafted works of art. I explained to her that they were my fiancé’s favorite flower and I decided I wanted a cake that would make those flowers the focal point. Within two weeks Michelle provided me a sketch of her proposed design. From there Michelle ran with the idea to incorporate the flowers in a way that made the entire cake a work of art. I can honestly say she has vision and knows how to bring that vision to life. On our wedding day, I was absolutely awestruck by how beautiful our cake was. After the ceremony, I stood for a long time looking at the sugar magnolias and watercolor painting of magnolias on our cake. The gold details made the cake and flowers so elegant, not gilded and gaudy. And regarding taste, honestly the cake tasted better than the tasting, I wish I had more time that day to eat it.
