Balmoral House is one of the newest event venues located along Hamilton Hills Lane in Fishers, Indiana. What used to be a private residence is now a charming venue offering 10,000 square feet of event space in the expansive 40-acre property. It offers indoor and outdoor spaces that can be used for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The entire Balmoral House can be rented for your event. The maximum capacity for an indoor seated dinner is up to 200 guests depending on the configuration and layout.
The Executive Boardroom is ideal for intimate affairs, such as rehearsal dinners and engagement parties. It can accommodate up to 50 guests. The Executive Boardroom and the Eaton Hall together make up the Balmoral Main Level and can be used together to increase capacity to up to 200 guests.
The Eaton Hall can accommodate mid- to large-sized events. It holds 16 round tables that can seat 10 guests and a head table with up to 12 guests for a total maximum capacity of 172 guests.
The Grand Deck is ideal for ceremonies and cocktail hours. It can accommodate a maximum of 90 guests in a banquet setting with round tables seating 10 guests each.
The Celebration Hall can accommodate a maximum of 60 guests.
The Grand Patio is an outdoor venue that can accommodate up to 300 guests.
Beach Pergola. For outdoor ceremonies, the Beach Pergola sits along the shores of a calm lake, surrounded by mature trees that provide shade for your guests.
What You Should Know
Balmoral House offers outdoor venues for the wedding ceremony—the grand deck, patio and pergola. In case of inclement weather, your event is transferred to any of the available rooms indoors. For your ceremony, you can choose to hire the venue's preferred caterer or use your own for an additional fee. There is no minimum for the food but a minimum is required for bar tabs.
Balmoral House does not require insurance for you to book your event. However, you need to hire security if your event serves alcohol and security service is charged by the hour. Together with the rental, you get the following inclusions as part of your package:
- A 12-hour use of the entire Balmoral House, including preparation and cleanup
- Padded white chairs for up to 200 guests with option to rent additional
- Round tables for the reception, cake table, gift table and head table
- Linens for tables
- Setup and cleanup after the event
- Wedding coordinator to help you throughout the planning
Balmoral House is conveniently located near hotels and shopping districts. It is easily accessible through Interstate 69 and 465.
Couples who book their wedding at the Balmoral House get complimentary access to the Bridal Suite and Groom’s Room.

One of the reasons I chose the Balmoral House as my wedding venue was because of how unique it is. It was unlike any other wedding venue we looked at. I definitely underestimated the difficulty of having a multi-level wedding venue. It was hard to figure out the flow of the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, dances, etc. It was like we were shuffling people throughout the night. In the end, I think it worked out okay, but it was still difficult planning this. We had 125 guests. The ceremony seating was spacious and fine. However, the reception seating at tables was extremely tight. It was too cramped. We could have moved some tables onto different levels of the house, but we wanted everyone to have a seat in the same area. You will need to be creative if you have a larger guest count. I would make sure to read over the contract very carefully before signing. There are a lot of hidden charges. Ex- if anyone is caught with any outside food or drink, including your vendors, you will pay $500. There were several instances where they tried to raise the price of items that we already agreed to when signing the original contract. In the end, they ended up honoring our original pricing because I brought up the issue with them. Overall, the experience with Balmoral was good.
