A BALLROOM IN CHICAGO, IL
Banquets at the Mayor's Mansion, A European Chalet, Inc., is located on the southwest side of exciting Chicago, Illinois and has been hosting wedding receptions for couples since 1993. Its European-inspired event spaces feel celebratory and special without elaborate wedding decor and it understands the unique cultural aspects of many of the various ethnic traditions and food found in the diverse Chicagoland area.
There are numerous cathedrals, temples and other houses of worship in the vicinity of Banquets at the Mayor's Mansion, A European Chalet, Inc., including St. Rene Parish, St. Richards Parish, Southwest Church of Christ and St. Bruno Catholic Church, where you may have your ceremony and be close to this venue for your reception. You can also do a home wedding or a non-religious service at a local museum or park, have your wedding photo shoot around the sites of Chicago and then head over to Banquets at the Mayor's Mansion, A European Chalet, Inc., where your cocktail hour is in full swing. The banquet spaces are as follows:
Warsaw Room. This venue seats between 50 and 100 guests. The decor is decidedly European with wood architectural accents and fresco-style painted walls in a neutral color reminiscent of an Italian piazza. The lightly stained hardwood floor, sparkling chandelier with mirrored ceiling tiles, stamped tin accents and the entire wall of mirrors on the east side of the room make the room seem light, airy and much larger than it actually is. You can have a variety of room setups, from long tables to round tables or you can set up cocktail tables for a reception-only event.
Cracow Room. This banquet hall also seats 50 to 100 guests and has the same decor style as the Warsaw Room. Delicate murals of European landmarks decorate the walls as in the Warsaw Room and a fireplace in one corner makes the room cozy and inviting. Wood wainscoting adds an elegant touch and there is room for a stage and dance floor for your wedding celebration. You can combine the Warsaw and Cracow rooms to create a truly grand ballroom area that serves 150 to 300 guests.
Wine Cellar. Enter through an ornate curving staircase along a stone wall into this beautiful function space with paintings of wine country on the walls, exposed brick columns and hardwood floor. The ornate ceiling, elegant drapery and full-service brick bar make the room a very intimate and sophisticated spot for a cocktail hour, seated dinner or buffet. There is room for a stage and a mirrored wall in this room that serves from 75 to 150 guests.

You can find many many more reviews for John and Banquets at the Mayor's Mansion on fb or ww. They all rave about him. We hired John for our wedding banquet of 200 guests because of how understanding and personable he is. His goal is to bring an easy and enjoyable experience to a bride and groom, not to gauge them for money. Even though tips and tax are included in the price (no hidden fees), his staff are well taken care of and were able to fulfill a lot of our service needs. I love how everything is included in one price (food cooked in house, drinks, coat check, security and parking attendant, linens, decor...) and we added on what we needed at a very low cost. John also allowed us to come taste the food at another appointment BEFORE signing a contract. No other vendor allowed us to sit down and do that. (only one other allowed us to taste, but made us take it in a to-go box... so it was cold when we got home) A side dining room was set for us so that we could eat in private yet still experience the actual place settings that would be at our event. In fact, we came back even after our contract was signed to continue tasting the menu and narrow down our dinner choices. Everything was good, served hot, and fresh. John even offered us entree choices that were not listed on his menu. What made our evening excellent (beyond good and satisfactory) was the extra time and effort paid to me and my family through the whole weekend. When my parents dropped off the decorations the day before (yes, their staff set everything up for us the day-of, too), John spent extra time with them in troubleshooting their slideshow on the computer. He used his personal computer software to make sure the files were compatible with his system. It played perfectly through the night. Also at the end of the night, the staff packed up our leftover favors and cake and personally wheeled it out to our car.
MY RECEPTION WAS PERFECT! I had about 115 people in the 'Wine cellar' for my reception on 10-8-16. My husband loved the value and yummy food! For a late snack we had a roasted pig... It was soooo good! Everyone gave us many compliments on the night & the owner/managment was VERY helpful and polite. All taxes & gratuity included was nice to know there was no hidden costs. I will recommend this venue for any wedding of party!! Seriously, the list can go on and on but regardless I was behind excited how much of a gem this place is!!!
I completely love this banquet hall, we worked with John and he made looking for a hall very easy. no stress at all! We recommend this hall to anyone looking for a hall in the Chicago area. He will work with your budget and the food is delicious, we received a lot of complements from our guest.
