The Best Toast ExperienceReviewed on 2/22/2015 Miguel A
My husband Josh and I met Melanie and Kyle (Owners of Baroness Bridal) as we were looking for something original to do at our outdoor Hudson Valley Wedding. We went to their amazing bar, The Baroness and felt we were talking with old friends. A genuine couple who was taking the time to get to know us. We immediately connected. Melanie dressed in an inspiring cocktail dress and Kyle behind the bar making us some delicious flatbreads, wine was flowing and we decided, we would do a Sabrage for our Toast. Our guests who come from all paths of life and the majority of which who are very discerning New Yorkers, said it was one of the most unique things they experienced at a wedding. Melanie and Kyle took the time to teach all the guests how to do it, and while we planed that in our 75 people wedding maybe 10-15 guests would have the courage to do it... Let us tell you that nearly everyone ended up taking a sword to the champagne after seeing how much fun it was. Of course it didn't hurt that Melanie and Kyle are a beautiful and charming couple. The Baroness proved to be very professional, worked with our budget, advised on the type of champagne that would make sense for us, how to conduct the sabrage toast based on our outdoor theme and helped us come up with the right inventory levels based on the guest count. They took a huge burden from us in the planning as they had everything under control. They interacted with our wedding planner and the venue manager to ensure they had everything in place. Because Melanie and Kyle took the time to understand our specific needs and wants, Josh and I feel we got amazing value for the experience and services. I am certain if you go with this type of toast, you will feel that you delivered your guests an opportunity to do something on their own. We think that it broke the monotonous aspects of a typical wedding program. I also guarantee you will end up thinking that Melanie and Kyle prove to be some pretty awesome guests at a wedding as well; a stylish and loving couple who we hope to stay in touch over the years.
Best decision ever!Reviewed on 2/11/2015
We had such a blast sabering champagne! We saber bottles right before cutting the cake, and we since we got the premium package we used our engraved sword to saber bottles AND cut our cake! It was amazing!! I'd say about 30 of our guests got the chance to open bottles with the sword, it was the perfect way to end the evening. Thank you Melanie and Kyle, it was really amazing to have you with us on our wedding day!!
Sabrage is Uber Chic!Reviewed on 2/10/2015 Kyle D
Melanie & her crew from The Baroness were so great! And this French Art was such a fantastic addition to the wedding. Not only were we taught, and allowed to Saber our bottles, but they also instructed many, many guests. There seemed to be bottles popping left & right all night! Ha Ha! I whole-heartedly recommend them.
