just need to say that Khara GETS that and she is so empathic to your needs and wants to make sure you are 110% comfortable with her and that your girls are comfortable. Two days before my wedding day, I made the horrific mistake of getting my eyebrows waxed and not thinking anything of it because I had done it a million times - however, this particular time something went wrong and the skin right in the center of my brows -- literally the middle of my face -- was burned off. I looked like Harry Potter and to make myself not cry I went around joking that I was Harriet Potter. I was terrified Khara wasn't going to be able to cover it but she worked her magic and you could not even tell I had a huge oozing scab on my face during the wedding. That situation alone literally makes me owe my life to this dear woman... She's incredible. In addition to this, she's very reasonably priced, very communicative, and very organized. Before the wedding, I really enjoyed chatting with her and hearing her recommendations based on the vision I had for my look. My girls loved her sister as well who came along to help get everyone ready for the day. I literally have never looked or felt more beautiful in MY LIFE, which is really how it should be on your wedding day!! When you're sitting in her chair, and she's airbrushing your makeup on, and then adding little subtle clusters of fake eyelashes (not a whole heavy sheet of them like you see that looks so fake), it feels like she is doing so much! But then you look in the mirror and you still look like YOU, just an amazingly better you!!! My makeup was ON POINT, and the sealant she sprays at the end held up for 8+ hours. I had my makeup start at 11am, she was done around 11:34. Then hair until maybe just after 12pm? And the ceremony wasn't until 3pm ( we wanted lots of photos before the ceremony) and the whole event ended at 10pm, and my makeup still looked impeccable, despite the crying I did during the ceremony. My hair, which I had done in a curly, messy bun off the side with a few curls dangling down, held up through all my crazy dancing! The bun definitely started to fall a bit lower down, but it held its shape and looked even better! The amount of pins I pulled out of my hair later that night was astonishing for how comfortable and perfect the hair-do was. I am so truly grateful to Khara for the work she did on me. I have always felt pretty average on the side of decent looking, but Khara transformed me into a princess. I am so tempted to learn her secret ways now, after seeing how they can make me look. Her prices were EXTREMELY reasonable (I told her she needs to charge more), and tipped her extra on the day of after seeing the magic she had worked on me. The whole wedding day I didn't feel self conscious at all, which was an amazing feeling. Thank you, Khara, so much for everything you did for me!!!!

This was great because I had a little over a month left until the wedding and I felt like time was running short. Khara was flexible with scheduling, travels to you, and is friendly and very easy to get along with. I also thought she was pretty funny, which made everything so much more fun! Most importantly, she KNOWS HER MAKEUP. I told her I had issues with finding foundation to match my skin tone in the past, and she spoke about things like oxidation once makeup reacts with your face's natural chemistry, showing that she's an expert in this field. Her knowledge about this put me at ease and reassured me that I wouldn't go from a beautiful bronzed queen to "what the?" once a few minutes passed by, which had happened to me in the past when getting makeup matched at beauty stores. My make up was so pretty and sparkly like I wanted, and it lasted all night on my naturally oily skin. She created a custom, berry-colored tint for my lips which I LOVED! My mom also loved the makeup Khara did for her, which says a lot because my mom can be picky! Makeup: 10/10. Also, Khara took on the challenge of doing my hair on my wedding day. I am of Central American descent so I have very thick and heavy hair all the way down to my hips. Khara managed to put all my hair into a low bun with side-swept bangs. The bun was so pretty, and even survived a cake fight with my husband after the cake-cutting. She took her time putting all my hair into that beautiful bun and she had so much patience working with my layered hair. Last, but not least, she did a wonderful job on my mother's and sister's hair. We all looked wonderful thanks to Khara. With that being said, hair was also 10/10. You will not regret choosing Khara for your special day!

Aside from the genius she is when it comes hair (I know she also does make up, but I had already booked a different vendor for that) she is one of the kindest souls I have ever met! Her calm demeanor and laid back energy is exactly what a nervous bride needs the morning of her wedding! She continually asked me, “Is there anything I can do for you? What do you need? You look beautiful, don’t worry everything is going to work out!” Also, my mother in law was very ill the night before my wedding, and was unhappy with her make up- Khara helped touch up her make up until she felt comfortable enough!
