ir and makeup for my engagement pictures first, which was when I made the easy decision to book her for my wedding. A few months later, I went to her again to do my hair and makeup for a formal Christmas party. Here’s the thing: like most of you reading this, all my life I’ve been showing stylists pictures of a formal hairstyle I wanted only to end up with getting something disappointing or different than what I asked for. When Sara did my hair and makeup for that event, it was the first time I saw what I had asked for in the mirror. Even better, my hair and makeup held up to a long night of Latin dancing. I can’t sing this girl’s praises enough as a hairstylist. I had been going to another stylist to take care of my regular hair care needs, but when salons reopened after the COVID shutdown, I decided to go to Sara instead. With my other stylist, my highlights always seemed to turn brassy really quickly, and she never quite got my balayage vision. Sara fixed my color and recommended a keratin treatment right before my wedding that was exactly what I needed. My hair is normally a mixture of wavy and curly with a large dose of frizz. On my wedding day, it rained during the ceremony and was humid and muggy the rest of the day. Somehow my hair looked amazing the whole day. Even though some of the curls loosened, it still looked amazing in all of the pictures. My makeup was polished and glamorous, but still very natural; it stayed in place perfectly until I removed it late that night. Sara did makeup for my bridesmaids, my mom, and my husband’s mom, and you could tell everybody felt confident and beautiful. Her assistant did an incredible job on their hair, also. My sister-in-law said that she liked her hair better for our wedding than she did at her own wedding. Listen, your wedding day is one day when your vision for yourself should be reality. You should feel confident and stunning. Sara Bain is a sweet, sassy, and talented stylist who will never make you regret hiring her. She is amazing, and even though my wedding is over and done, I can’t quit her.

After the trial where she got to know me and do a quicker version of both hair and makeup and it still lasted all day, I knew she was going to do a great job the day of. She created a day of schedule for us that didn’t start too early and we were all easily done earlier than anticipated. She and her assistant Vika did an amazing job on the bridesmaid’s hair and makeup, being organized, and they were just fun to hang out with as well. Thanks so much for all that you did!

ad no idea what I wanted or liked, Sara took one look at my wedding dress, got inspired, and made me into the most magical whimsical princess ever!!! I’m extremely grateful that Sara and team were a part of my special day! She worked with each bridesmaids and moms to get exactly what they wanted and all looked beautiful! Sara is beyond sweet and I loved working with her! Each person she brought was extremely talented and kind, they worked hard to meet a strict deadline, and arrived early to be ready to go when all 12 of us got there! I highly recommend Sara for all things hair and makeup for weddings!!

As someone who doesn’t wear makeup regularly, I was so impressed by her interpretation of what I explained. When I showed her photos of my dream hair at the trial, she was only able to partially mock it up, but suggested that a cut with added layers would do the trick. Since my trail was the day of my bachelorette party, she disassembled the hairstyle and gave me some great curls for my night on the town. Her willingness to travel to us was so convenient for us, and Sara is incredibly organized. The week before the wedding, she reached out to me to inquire about who would be getting makeup and hair done in the bridal party, so she could quickly create a detailed schedule/timeline of who would be getting hair and makeup done. This helped make the process go smoothly the morning of our wedding. When I showed her my dream hairstyle the day of once again after I cut my hair the way she suggested, she delivered! Sara and her team of assistants were seriously incredible. My bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law all looked stunning, and I felt like the most glamorous bride ever. She’s won The Best of the Knot Weddings for a reason; she’s sweet and stylish and you won’t regret having her glam up you and your squad!
