We were unsure of what our day would look like with safety procedures and guidelines, but David kept in constant communication with us and assured us that the Best Western would work with us. Our guests raved about the food and the waterfront views. The staff was so helpful to us and our guests the entire night, as well as when we came in early to decorate, at our rehearsal dinner, and at breakfast the next morning. We would HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone!

lear they were not interested in hosting a gay wedding event. When we met with David Helgeson we knew this was the right place for our wedding. Davig was amazing to work with, he assured us they could pretty much accommodate anything we needed. During the process, we needed to go back to the venue to take some measurements, take additional photos etc and the staff was always very helpful, even during the Covid restrictions. A few weeks before the wedding, we met with David and finalized things, he had some very good suggestions about placement, food changes and bar set up. The day before the event we went to set the room up, the staff was always there to help out with things we forgot or questions we had. Then the day of the wedding finally arrives! Everything was set up perfectly, we started with photos taken outside by the riverfront, then moved inside for the open bar. The bartenders were the best, no one waited for a drink and the drinks were perfectly made. The plated meal was served promptly, everyone said their meals were very tasty, hot and filling. More than a few times someone from the staff would check in to make sure everything was going as planned. The entire evening was better than we could have ever imagined! We also booked rooms for all our family members to stay at the hotel, something we wanted to be able to do for them, since many had to drive almost an hour to get here. David took care of all of the room reservations as well as making sure they all received our welcome package. Overall this was an amazing experience and while I know there is a terrific staff working with David Helgeson, I cannot remember all of their names, but we will never forget everything they did to make our day special!

The food was excellent (we received numerous positive comments) and the speed in which our guests were taken through the buffet line was excellent. The waitstaff did an excellent job of continually clearing tables as our guests were finished with their dinner. Ian and the two young ladies bartending provided amazing service to our guests with speed and accuracy (again, we received numerous positive comments). The ability for our guests to mingle outside was a huge plus for the night given the COVID-19 situation and the grounds. lighting and areas for people to sit down and talk were much appreciated by many. Your willingness to allow us to remove the decorations and such on Monday morning was an absolute godsend to my wife and I. We were greeted by a young man who provided us with carts and the process we were dreading was simple and easy. Again, we cannot thank you and your team enough for your hospitality, communication and outstanding customer service. We would highly recommend your venue to anyone. She was there, every step, the day of the wedding, checking in on us in the morning, set up, and prior to dinner, she made herself visible and available!! Love her! Would definitely recommend the facilities, hotel and their full crew. Excellent service, excellent food!

We had so many compliments on the professionalism of the venue along with how kind all of the staff was. Looking back we wouldn't of changed a thing. The only time I had to wait for an email back (on a very rare occasion) was maybe a Sunday or Monday afternoon when Miranda was likely not in the hotel. :) Food - We had our dinner catered (of course) through the convention center’s banquet staff and it was amazing! We received so many compliments all night, and are still receiving those compliments, about how great the food was as well as how amazing the banquet staff did in getting all of the food out. Our wedding was about 240 people and we have been to weddings of smaller sizes, where we ended up waiting a very long time to receive our meal. There were many comments about how efficient the banquet staff was in getting all of the plated meals out to the tables in a timely manner! Budget - Yes, weddings are expensive but in terms of all of Oshkosh, this venue was the most affordable for us as well as it offered everything we wanted and needed. There is a hotel Attached so we did not need to worry about a shuttle, it is located right on Main Street so people had places to go between mass and the reception, it is on the water so it offered a pretty backdrop for pictures, and the venue was large enough to accommodate our guest list.

anda Gorges, their wedding and event manager, answered every one of our MANY questions and was helpful in providing guidance on decor and setup. She arranged for a couple different tours of the venue as well. The ceremony along the river was beautiful and the staff took care of chair setup and takedown. The reception space was recently updated and had everything we needed for the dinner and reception--plenty of space, tables for decor. The catering and bar staff were wonderful; they went out of their way to ensure that we and our guests had everything we needed and more. One woman even kept my meal warm while my husband and I went out to take a few pictures! We also held our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at the Best Western, at which the staff was also very nice and accommodating. We would highly recommend this venue for a wedding!

rt. Every detail was accounted for, and we always felt confident that we were being well cared for. Miranda made sure that every detail was executed perfectly. The staff was very flexible allowing for different event teams to set up the room for the evening, along with checking in with me throughout the night. Everything was perfect the night of my wedding. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. The food was delicious, and so many people complemented us on what we chose to have served. The service was exceptional and our guests enjoyed all of the small details. The room was a perfect location for guests to venture outside to enjoy the outside patio. Wonderful service and venue, couldn’t have asked for a better night.

I had in a timely manner. She made the process amazing and painless! Another thing that made the choice of picking them easier was they included linens and provided our hotel for free the night of the wedding! The food on the day of the wedding was beyond amazing! We got several compliments about how amazing everything was. We ending up going with the chicken oscar, Bacon wrapped filet, stuffed peppers for the vegetarians, and the chicken tenders for the kids. We also had custom cupcakes made!! Those were to die for! We had about 13 dozen cupcakes and we chose 4 different kinds that we got to pick the flavor of, which was very awesome! My overall rating for Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel would be a strong 5 stars! They are so helpful and work very well with you to get everything you want to make your wedding day perfect!

our original hall go bankrupt on us and Johanna, David, & the rest of the staff were so nice to work with and made the transition so easy! We had a lot of ideas we were going to use for the first hall and they were more than happy to accommodate to our needs to make the day as special as it was! The communication we had with Johanna was quick responses and we got everything done! They were great with changes that had to be made and so easy to get along with. to add personal touches elsewhere to our wedding due to the costs that were eliminated from a Friday wedding. If you get married at the Oshkosh Waterfront Hotel and Convention Center you will not pay for a banquet hall fee (unless you also have your ceremony there outside). You also recieve three hotel rooms to give out to your guests at your blessing, (the bride and groom can upgrade to a suite for $100.) The food was delicious, in fact we had multiple people comment that if they left our wedding hungry, it was the person's fault that didn't eat...and we had an appetizer wedding with the fajita bar. The beverage packages are also the way to go! The girls were very excited to get wine, instead of just the standard beer all night long. While getting married on a Friday you also get bartending services, and cake cutting services waived. You really cannot beat the amount you spend for the quality of the day at the Best Western Premier Waterfront and Oshkosh Convention Center.
