in store pickup / Zoom call cake testing was atrocious. After I finally got through with the wedding department, they didn’t have appointments for Zoom calls. So I had to order my wedding cake over the phone. Which completely ruined the experience. And to add, they just bake the cake and ice it. If you want any cake toppers, any extra detail, you have to buy it, and drop it off, 2 weeks in advance to them. Although they were very thorough, and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. The wedding department isn’t big enough for the amount of cakes they make. Once I got my cake, ordered, they delivered it to my venue which was SO great. The cake tasted wonderful. Overall, 3/5 for Bethel Bakery. If they had a larger wedding department, I’d give them a 5/5!!

We were able to talk through a bunch of different ideas with Nicolette and with the help of everyone involved we were able to come up with our perfect cake. The team at Bethel Bakery made a vision we didn’t even know we had come true! Every time we called or made arrangements, everyone was absolutely wonderful to speak to. The cake looked stunning and stood perfectly tall! Besides looking absolutely amazing - it tasted even better! I couldn’t believe how delicious everything we tasted was during our tasting and was thrilled with the way the cake turned out. Bethel Bakery took any and all stress off of us. I would suggest reviewing all details with them a week prior because I feel like we wouldn’t have had these issues.

They even put the cake topper on for us. Lastly, their cookies for the traditional Pittsburgh cookie table are always a hit! We didn’t run out of cookies because we ordered extra but we probably would have if our reception was any longer. They have some of my favorite cookies and they are a guest favorite as well! You will not be disappointed with this wonderful, family owned company :)

What we liked about Katelyn is that she was honest. She listens to you and what you want, but she also will give you her opinions on what she thinks is best from her experience --which is something that I appreciated as a bride. It is no surprise as to why so many brides opt to work with them. Not only do they provide exceptional service, but the cake also tastes fresh, moist, and amazing! The buttercream icing is outstanding. The second and third appointments solidified the design work for our wedding cake. Katelyn and I worked together with my wedding planner, my mom, to finalize the design, and we opted for gum paste flowers around the bottom and center to give our cake maximum height. It was a true showstopper and just absolutely perfect! We admire the photos everyday and received so many compliments. You will not be disappointed by the level of service and quality Bethel Bakery provides.
