We had actually already spoken to Eddy in the beginning of the process and debated between choosing between him and John - it was a tough choice but we knew we couldn’t loose in either situation! This change was smooth and Eddy even helped us add in some beautiful uplighting to our package! Black Tie Entertainment’s DJ portal was great to use to add in our chosen music for our special songs (first dance, mother/son etc…) as well as some favorites we wanted to hear on the big day (or even some “nice to hear” songs). Eddy coordinated well with all the vendors on the day, and only approached us when absolutely. A FANTASTIC bonus was Eddy snagged a couple great videos on his phone of the end of the night after our videographers had already left - phenomenal! We would highly recommend the professional nature of Black Tie’s operations but specifically, Eddy Bobby’s awesome MCing and DJ skills! Thank you!

t-play list we gave, and it was a good mix of upbeat and slower songs. He made sure to check in with us before we made our entrance to make sure we were ready. He also checked in with us before our last song to make sure we knew it was coming since he knew I wanted to dance with my grandma and we had to go bring her to the dance floor.

arm, energetic, knows his music and very invested in making your wedding day special. - I am Indian and my husband is American, we had 2 American songs and 2 Bollywood songs we wanted to make a medley of for our wedding dance, Justin sat down with me and worked with me to make a medley FOR 3 HOURS !! He ensured that the songs transitioned smoothly and the end result was beautiful and truly memorable. He is truly connected with music because even though he did not understand the lyrics of the songs, he mixed them perfectly by picking up the beat and also helped me narrow down from my pool of 10 songs to 2. - On the day of the wedding, he was the perfect Emcee. Made sure the guests knew what was going on, regulated the flow of events and kept the party going. - We had a couple of DO not play and a couple of must play songs and the rest we left up to him to use his creativity based on the era of music we liked. - Literally EVERY PERSON was on the dance floor including older folks. He took my mother in law's request and played some songs for the older crowd too. Every couple getting married should have DJ Justin as their DJ. Highly recommend.

e provided with access to Black Tie's online portal, where we could make initial selections for our preference in music and provide all the necessary details about our wedding. It was nice to have access to this so far in advance, so that we could fill it out at our own pace. As we got closer to our big day, we scheduled an in-person meeting with Lew to discuss some details. This was a great experience. Admittedly, we had not selected a huge amount of music on the online portal at this point, but when we spoke to Lew, he asked us some directed questions and was able to confirm exactly what we were looking for. He also went above and beyond to help us firm up our schedule - helping provide guidance and suggestions on particular events for which we did not know best practices. Above all of this, he was incredibly personable and friendly, which gave us even more confidence that our big day would be great. On the day of, Lew absolutely delivered. He showed up on time and got all set up at our venue without any input from us, and introduced himself and provided some words of encouragement before our ceremony. After the ceremony and cocktail hour, when Lew stepped in as MC, everything went perfectly to plan. Our dances, toasts, and meal were on time. Music throughout dinner was just what we had in mind. And the dance party that followed dinner is still a topic of fond conversation between my wife and I. Despite our sparse population of the online portal, Lew knew our audience and had the dance floor packed. It was such a fun evening. We couldn't recommend Black Tie or Lew more. It was a great experience working with them!

Based on our requirements, we chose to interview Eamonn, and we were immediately impressed with his extensive experience and DJ skills. Therefore, we booked Eamonn on the spot. Due to the pandemic, we had to postpone our wedding reception by one year. Both Eamonn and Matt were extremely accommodating and flexible in working with us to reschedule the reception to our new chosen date. We used Black Tie’s online “DJ Portal” to input our song choices, wedding schedule, and requirements for Eamonn. The portal is user friendly, and Eamonn was also very responsive to our questions and inquiries. On the day of the reception, Eamonn did a phenomenal job! He was clear and charismatic with his announcements and introductions. He read the room perfectly in determining the flow and order of the songs played. Everything flowed so well, and everyone had an extremely fun time! We received so many compliments from our guests on how well Eamonn performed. The dance floor was full and active throughout the entire night. We highly recommend Eamonn and Black Tie Entertainment to anyone in need of a DJ!

Eddie Bobby from Black Tie Entertainment had a personal battery backup system and was able to have everything set up and ready to go by the time the wedding was scheduled to start. And that was just the start of the day. He was an absolutely amazing master of ceremonies. He held a few meetings with my wife and I to ensure that he knew exactly what we wanted to hear, what sort of games or special events were taking place, the timing for everything. He made planning this wedding so easy and so stress free. And when we got to the day of EVERYONE loved him. We got so many compliments about how amazing the DJ was, how funny and engaging he was, how the music was perfect. He knew when to interact with the crowd and when to take a step back and let moments happen. I can't imagine having anyone else as our wedding DJ. While we obviously only worked with Eddie Bobby, I would have full confidence in any of their Top Tier DJs. If you are wavering between levels, let me tell you it is 100% worth spending the little bit of extra money to have an experienced DJ. It honestly saved our wedding ceremony, and was a huge reason the reception was such a success.

He was also really adept at picking up social cues like when my husband ran out of dance moves during our first dance and needed an out. He also embraced our idea for Beatles themed ceremony music and helped bring our vision to life. Additionally we used their uplighting services that transformed our venue into a romantic space for dinner and party central for open dance time. We also had the open air photo booth which gave us so many awesome fun photos from the evening and the photo booth attendant had everyone making silly faces and getting really into the photos. He was so great that some of our guests even took photos with him.

On our wedding day, he was timely and professional with set up, and he made sure all the planned events happened on time. Matt read our audience and could tell what they liked, which was impressive seeing as how our wedding guests came from different cultures and spanned several generations. He kept our wedding party bouncing with his energy and drive! He coaxed people out on the dance floor and led people for line dances - boy could he work a crowd! Matt is topnotch and inarguably the best DJ anyone could have at their wedding! We highly recommend Matt Johnson of Black Tie to anyone looking for a DJ.

the wedding itself, Chase had a fantastic read on the room. He had everyone dancing all night and I had multiple people tell me how good the DJ was. He clearly paid attention to the songs we had requested and mixed them with a ton of classic rock and current hits, which is exactly what our guests needed. For all the key events, he did a fantastic job of rounding everyone up and keeping the night on track. I'm so glad I ended up going with Chase and Black Tie. A DJ truly makes or breaks the party part of the wedding and he was a huge part of ours being so successful.

when my husband and I entered the reception he stated my whole government instead of introducing us as Mr. and Mrs. In the reception he played southern rappers mind you we are from new york (bronx/queens) so we want new york artists. He also took sonh request which we specifically told him not to do, he is no where a MC he never hyped the crowd. It was bad.

Black Tie’s DJ questionnaire and scheduler is very detailed and Eddy absorbed our answers and had a couple of Skype meetings with us to make sure that we were on the same page with what we wanted. The cocktail hour went off perfectly. For dinner, the venue didn’t pre-plate the salads like they said they were going to and then the champagne pour for the toast was nowhere in sight. Eddy was amazing and found the catering staff to ask them to get a move on (lol) and then reported back to us on the status of things. If he hadn’t been there, the evening’s flow would have been a lot messier. He really was a life saver. Luckily, everything went outwardly smoothly as a result of Eddy and our guests thought the flow was perfect. After dinner we had toasts and then a “show” where we had 5 numbers performed by family and friends, which is unusual. This section flowed smoothly, as well as the parent child dances, and open dancing. I admit I was a little worried about a DJ in general because usually I hate the music that gets played at weddings and other DJ events. Eddy really figured out our music preferences and I loved every single song that was played which I was amazed at! He had a great way to get people on the dance floor and there were people on the dance floor the entire time. We even last minute extended the party another half hour because at 10:45 people were still dancing strong. And at 11:30 when we ended, the dance floor was still going! It was it was an amazing evening, in great part because of Eddy!

Our guests texted us the following few days and commented on how amazing he did!! He was extremely well organized and kept our large and crazy wedding party on time for everything, planned an awesome welcome arch for my husband and me to walk in through, listened to speeches and played music that was referenced in those speeches right afterward (including “Colors of the Wind” and “Whatever you like” – priceless!), and he remained flexible when family photos ran beyond schedule. Then it was finally time to party!!! Everyone at the wedding (young and old) raved about the DJ, music, and dancing. My husband and I wanted a huge dance party, and we certainly got it!

r our Boho California vibe wedding. Our playlists were great and would have been great played on their own. He did not have to do much other than, mix from our lists and hit play! BUT< IT WAS OBVIOUS HE NEVER CARED TO EVEN LISTEN TO THEM!!! He did ok with our ceremony except the mic on the officiant went off 3 times. He did not play any of our music at cocktail hr, he left at dinner time to unhook his first location equipment - tis was completely unexpected. We even asked if he needed additional staff prior and he said, "no". He left some random elevator music playing, and only played about 4 to 6 of our songs during dance time. THe dancing time had at least 4 times when the floor emptied due to his bad transitions and and horrible music choices! We provided 3 extensive playlists that could have sufficed w/o his help. He ended our party at 11pm and told everyone that there was a sound ordinance and refused to play any more songs. We had asked him to transition the party indoors at 11pm. This was not done! He took his large tip and left without saying goodbye to us. He has yet to return the tip money after we had discussions w BTE. He ruined a very expensive wedding renewal! Beyond words disappointed.

ere was one small technical difficulty during the wedding party introductions, but he was able to fix it and was very apologetic about it. He stuck to our must play and do not play list. He really did a fantastic job. The owner of the venue told my mom that our dance floor had the most amount of people for the longest time she had ever seen, which I think is a true testament to Eddy. I would definitely recommend him!

t best fit within our budget. Their company has everything you could need for your event; DJ services, photo booth, hashtag generator, different lighting packages, etc. You name it, they have it! He assigned a DJ to us, Mike Interdonato. Mike is a really nice guy, but our experience with him could have been better. Our meetings (in-person and on the phone) were very lengthy, which is to be expected for our first meeting as we put together a schedule for our wedding day. We asked him to create a mash-up of two songs for our first dance and required us to reach out to him multiple times to get the final song in time for us to practice. When we had our final phone conference to confirm everything, we had to re-send things via email. The day of our wedding, Mike did a perfect job with our ceremony music and was exactly what we wanted! While our photographer was wrapping up our private photo session, we were informed to hang outside longer. We later learned that everyone was looking for Mike and found him sitting in his car; this delayed our reception a bit. Some of guests were done eating, and no one was on the dance floor until we said something to him and our venue coordinator. Mike then proceeded with the reception. He demonstrated how to do dance moves and things seem to go well until we were running out of time. Mike did not quite stick to the schedule we put together nor did he stick with our "must play" list. We didn't get to do our bouquet and garter toss like we wanted, and we didn't have most of our "must play" songs played, instead he played most of our "can play" list and some newer songs that none of us were familiar with. While we recommend people using Black Tie Entertainment, we would recommend a different DJ that has more experience and is someone that is really a good match for you.

Eddy Bobby himself responded right away but Black Tie's admin takes their time or needs to be reminded of your emails and that created a little bit of stress on our end. Otherwise I definitely recommend Black Tie!

He handled our line-up of toasts and performances like a pro. He practiced the pronunciations of difficult names and scripted how he would introduce everyone. We worked through our timeline and he coordinated with our planner to create a master timeline. Where Mike absolutely shined was handling day-of craziness. Our ceremony violinist got stuck in traffic from another city and didn't make it in time. Mike, who had shown up several hours early because he is professional and always prepared, was able to hook up his system (which was set up in the reception location only) to the ceremony speakers and find some music within about 20 minutes. Seriously, we would have had no ceremony music at all if not for this guy! He saved the day! He even came and found me because he knew I was freaking out to tell me that he could hook everything up and play some music, and that it would be OK and not to worry! My wedding was a handful and he was amazing! He also combined the two songs we wanted into a first dance song, which was so nice and was mixed seamlessly! He played a great mix of songs we selected, requests, and songs he thought worked. The crowd was dancing all night and everyone had a wonderful time. Mike has a very calming demeanor when he is helping bride and groom prep, but comes alive when he is DJing and on the mic. He picks great songs and is articulate when making announcements. I would recommend DJ Mike and Black Tie without reservation and want to sincerely thank them for making my wedding unforgettable!
