Karen and Lisa were gracious with answering all our questions leading up to the big day and always sent us reminders when a due date was approaching. On the day itself... there are no words. Karen used her impressive vision to bring our dreams come true. Because we planned to have the ceremony outside, we needed a plan B in case the weather didn't cooperate, and of course, it started to downpour 30 minutes before our ceremony. Karen immediately jumped into action and she and her team moved the ceremony inside and helped all our guests get situated and comfortable. They were very kind and accomodating with our dog, who we really wanted to have in the ceremony. We have become part of the Bloomingdale Golf Club family. We HIGHLY recommend the Bloomingdale Golf Club and if given the choice again, we could pick this venue hands down.

Throughout the entire planning process Karen and Lisa reached out and answered all of my questions and concerns in a timely manner, even when I was emailing them 3-4 times a week as the wedding got closer! I am still so appreciative of their patience and encouragement. The week of the wedding I was frantically trying to put together my decorations, name cards, guestbook, etc. to drop off for setup and I was driving myself nuts trying to figure out where everything should be set up in the room. I dropped everything off to Karen the day before the wedding and let me tell you, everything was set up even better than I could have imagined. When my husband and I got to the venue a little before cocktail hour began, we got to walk into the room with no one else and it was absolutely stunning. The natural light from the windows, the tables and tablecloths, everything far exceeded my expectations. Karen and Lisa made sure everything was in order and the night only got better from there. The food was served timely and to this day (over a month later) people are still talking about how good the food was. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful throughout the whole night. We also got many great pictures outside on the grounds as they were beautiful and well kept. After the wedding BGC packed up all of our decoration and had them neatly placed on a cart the next day for us to pickup which was so helpful since we were on a time crunch. I could go on and on, but I am so thankful we went with BGC. We were able to stay within our budget and throw one heck of a wedding without feeling like we were skimping on anything. Thank you, Lisa and Karen, for helping to make it the best day of our lives!

We only had a few initial request and other venues wanted to charge us “convenience fees.” Besides the fact that other places wanted to charge us for every request, it also made us feel as though we were just a number in an excel spread sheet. The large outdoor patio setting was a tremendous plus for our cocktail hour. After the contract was signed, Karen continued to help us along the way. I arrived early the day of our wedding and was amazed at the crew and staff transforming the venue into the wedding of our dreams. I felt as though everyone in the staff treated our wedding as though it was their own. They even welcomed our 12-year-old Labrador Retriever, who was also in our ceremony. If you were looking for a venue that will truly help to personalize your wedding and not nickel and dime you for every accommodation then I would strongly consider Bloomingdale. We couldn’t say enough about how glad we both are about our decision to have our wedding at Bloomingdale.

We requested a chocolate fountain with short notice, and Karen made it happen. I cannot say enough amazing things about the Bloomingdale Golf Club and their staff. They truly made our wedding day extra special. I have also attended other events at the Bloomingdale Golf Club (for example, a fundraising event) and I have never been disappointed.

id not have to lose sleep over was Bloomingdale. Any question we had was answered in minutes. Every meeting we had was so relaxed and personal. We hung around for 45 mins after one of our meetings just to hang out and chat with Karen and Jeff. They are so warm and welcoming, we felt at ease there immediately. On top of it all, and to just hit home the personal touch, Karen, Jeff and Lisa were there the night of our reception to run the whole night themselves. Our reception could not have gone better thanks to everyone at Bloomingdale Golf Club.

The venue is beautiful and has a wonderful picturesque indoor room if you have an indoor wedding like we did due to inclement weather. While taking first look pictures my button on my tux had come off and Karen sewed it back on in plenty of time for the ceremony. Just an overall great venue with great service and friendly staff. Do not overlook the Bloomingdale Golf Club, it is a great place to have your perfect wedding.

d went the extra mile to help set up our decorations, tables, etc., exactly how we envisioned them. They helped the day run smoothly, keeping us on time while also staying in the background so we could enjoy the day. Karen even made sure our pictures turned out well by adjusting little details around us. Pick up of everything the day after was a breeze - they had everything cleaned, sorted, and laid out for us to pick up. They specifically cleaned and took good care of our champagne flutes and cake knives and made sure to return them to us that same night. The venue was beautiful, we loved the high ceilings and all the natural light as well as the view of the golf course. Our pictures from around the golf course came out nicely, and they lent us a golf cart to get around. The main entrees were average, however, we chose the less expensive options. The appetizers, soup, and sweets table were exceptional. We also used the fruit and cheese platters as a late night snack which worked well. They were beautifully presented, which were more than expected. Overall, we highly recommend this venue, Karen, and her staff!

he Bloomingdale Golf Club is a great wedding venue to have--the room is very large with huge ceiling and great windows to show off the wonderful scenery. Even though it was pretty chilly on my wedding day, people still enjoyed sitting outside on the veranda with the wonderful string lights outside and watch the storm come over. The food was great--I recommend the Prime Rib and Tortellini options! It really felt like Bloomingdale Golf Club made our wedding very personal to us--even though we picked a lot of more standard options, we were able to jazz it up to our style by having a signature drink and having our own flair on the guest book, seating cards, and a few little decorations. Take advantage of the Friday discount if you can! The ONLY flaw was that the cake was not cut as early as I thought it was going to, and I wanted the dancing to get started, especially as my photographer was not staying late--so we decided to jump into our first dance before the cake was served. Overall, we are SO thrilled with our big day. Still waiting to see our pics--can't wait as the scenery was simply beautiful.

From the moment we checked out the venue, my mom and my fiancé (now husband) and I felt so at ease speaking to Karen and her husband Jeff - they answered our questions and went above and beyond in terms of customer service! Karen was very supportive of my picky creative vision and she just gets me and understood what I was going for :) Karen helped me track down the perfect color for linens (which we learned I picked a complicated color to match lol) and gave suggestions per my vision (really glad I got the chairs bc the room looked so amazing and I got a lot of compliments on how the whole reception looked and went). They set up my room so well with all my details I wanted including the set up of the seating shells! Everyone was so helpful! Lisa also helped answer all random and piecemeal questions I have so quickly that I was able to make decisions on the fly! Karen made sure that hand off was a breeze and made me feel so comfortable to trust her with all the details so I am relaxed going into the big day! During pictures, Jeff made sure that the groom and I were well taken care of from leading the photographers, helping with the dress as I get on the carts to making sure we were warm - so accommodating and thoughtful of us since it was cold out and my husband’s leg was bothering him during pictures. He was a trooper staying out with us and braving the cold through out the photo shoot. They are all so amazing to work with and would recommend their team to anyone a hundred times over! We are so happy with everything - thank you for being part of our story!

planning on having my ceremony there as well as my reception, only to find out that 3 months before my big day that there was a golf outing scheduled on my wedding day ( I signed my contract 1.5 years prior to this) and that "I could have my ceremony there, but it would be inconvenience to the golfers twice... once for the ceremony and then again for pictures." Was so upset I almost changed my ENTIRE venue, to not have to deal with being told one thing and then the next time something different. Karen was hard to get a hold of, even made an appointment to make my final payment and she didn't up. Had to pay her husband Jeff, who was extremely delightful. Lisa was very thoughtful when it came to the execution. If I would have known what craziness I would have been dealing with, with Karen, I would NOT have gone with Bloomingdale Golf Club. Overall, the night did run smoothly, but after my 3 months to the day meeting, I made my husband deal with Karen because I was to the point of tears if something else changed because I felt like all she wanted to do was change and dictate things.

They recommended other vendors we could work with which was great! Our DJ was someone we selected on our own and even he said he loved working with Bloomingdale Golf Club! We had appetizers, a chocolate fountain and chair covers. We also showed a slide show that we created and they were more than happy to set up and take down the projector and screen! For photos we got to take the golf carts around the golf course, which was tons of fun! The pictures turned out great too! We can't thank Bloomingdale Golf Club enough! Our vision was brought to life thanks to Karen and her amazing team!

The course it self is gorgeous and we loved that we were able to go around it and take pictures with the wedding party. We have had all of our family members say that it was their favorite wedding meal they've ever had. Karen and the entire staff are so supportive and accomodating. She worked with the vendors and sorted out issues without needing our input. The only other place that I have seen customer service at this level is Disney! We had both our ceremony and reception on site. The week of the wedding the weather turned for the worst, and it rained horribly a few days leading up to our wedding. Karen gave me all the pros and cons, was extremely supportive with whichever direction I wanted to choose. The day before the wedding I called Karen frantically asking if there was any way she could get us a tent so I could still have my outdoor wedding and she was able to get it for us! It was a good thing too, because the rain did not let up. The food was incredible, the room looked so stunning and elegant, and everyone had a blast on the dance floor. We had so many family members and friends tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you!! Kristin & Travis Naber

Jeff, they sealed the deal with us! I could not ask for a better duo to coordinate our wedding. They made us both feel right at home, answered all of our questions and treated us like family. They set up all of our decorations and took the lead on making the venue look beautiful for us. Their staff always came by my husband and I, took great care of us. We got married on the hottest day of the year in July and it was about to rain before the ceremony. Karen and Jeff watched the weather the night before and all day to make sure we were ok and had the ceremony we wanted. I highly recommend Bloomingdale Golf Club for your wedding or any event. They really took care of us and I thought that was important while planning the largest event of our live. The only bad thing is now its over and we don't get to see Karen or Jeff anymore. ing for as soon as I walked in. The ceremony site and inside venue is a combination you will not find anywhere else. It is absolutely gorgeous outside with beautiful greenery and flowers. The arch is also included with the venue and you do not have to pay additional fees. The outside veranda was great for cocktail hour. There are hooks all around the veranda so you can hang anything to complement your decorations from there. The venue inside is just superb. All the décor on the inside are neutral colors. The center of the room has a very high ceiling and there are floor to ceiling windows on three sides of the room. The outside veranda can be accessed from either end of the room allowing easy access to the outside bar for cocktail hour. The veranda faces the golf course with a pond and fountain. It is the perfect scenery especially if you choose to have your ceremony outside. The head table overlooks the golf course. Karen and Jeff are absolutely fantastic! They make you feel like family and right at home. They will accommodate you in in any way that you need. Karen immediately replies to any phone calls or emails. She will give you her honest opinion on wedding tips and is looking out for your best interest. We brought in our own decorations and Karen and Jeff had the decorations looking absolutely beautiful. It really was a spectacular day that couldn't have been done without the two of them. Karen also assisted on the day of the wedding and was the perfect wedding planner included with the venue. She lined up the bridal party and was certain that everyone walking down the aisle was perfectly timed. The pictures from the ceremony looked like a fairy tale wedding. The outdoor cocktail hour including our signature drink was picture perfect. Karen and Jeff joined in on the fun prior to our bridal party announcements. We offered our guests the filet mignon, chicken saltimbocca and grilled salmon. All of the entrees and soup and salad were delicious. The cake was brought to the table for guests to enjoy with their coffee before they visited the sweet table a short time later. The guests are still talking about the late night hot dog cart which they all enjoyed. The view from the veranda at night was beautiful with the lights from the venue and the moon lit skies shinning on the fountain in the pond. We seriously could not have had a more perfect day! Thank you Karen, Jeff and staff for making this once in a lifetime event truly memorable.

The room is beautiful as it is, but Karen works closely with you to customize anything you need, like linens, chairs, etc. so you can really make it your own. Our guests were raving about the delicious food. The wedding packages include everything (catering and bar service) which makes planning so easy. On our wedding day, we never had to answer any questions or make any decisions. If there was anything amiss, we never knew! Karen handles everything so your wedding reception will flow beautifully. We were able to bring in outside vendors for extra things, like an open air photo booth and string lights for the outdoor veranda (which is phenomenal for cocktail hour!) You are also able to take pictures with your wedding party on the grounds. There is a bridge on the golf course and beautiful trees so the pictures are gorgeous. Included in the wedding package is your cake, which you choose through Central Continental Bakery in Mt. Prospect. The cake was fresh and delicious, just as it was when we had our tasting! Overall, everything was perfect and I couldn't imagine a better place to have our wedding!

They were warm, friendly, real, and had a ton of experience. Karen was extremely attentive and accommodating from beginning to end. My husband and I had our actual ceremony in the same room as the reception. It was absolutely gorgeous. The transition from wedding ceremony to reception was very smooth. The food, as well as the service, was fabulous! We received so many compliments on so many different levels that day. If anything went wrong, we had no idea. Karen was wonderful to work with - always prompt returning emails and always smiling, laughing, and exuding so much confidence and optimism. She had great referrals and recommendations for us (Blooming Flowers was outstanding) and we received so many compliments on our cake! (Central Continental Bakery). The food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond! Bob was so patient with our bridal party while we drove through the course for pictures, and Ray even offered to help carry my train and bustle my dress as I walked back to cocktail hour! Leslie was so helpful arranging tee times for my husband and groomsmen before the wedding, and Don was gracious (and patient) when my husband and I showed up the morning after the wedding to pick up the rest of our favors and centerpieces. Everything was perfect the day of and we can't thank Karen and Jeff enough. Booking Bloomingdale Golf Club for our wedding was the best decision we made when planning our wedding. iful grounds, the perfectly neutral ballroom, the affordable menu and the BEST couple, Karen and Jeff, running the show, we knew we found our venue. Throughout the planning process Karen was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and was so quick to return my one million emails. When I told Karen that I am crafty and there would be a lot of DIY projects she didn’t bat an eye and encouraged me to be creative. Not something you find at every venue. On the day of the wedding Karen and her husband, Jeff, made sure the event went off without a hitch. They stalked the weather all day for our outdoor ceremony (luckily we just beat the rain!) They repeatedly checked in with my husband and I and family members to ensure everyone was taken care off. At the end of the night, Karen and her team cleaned everything up and sent us on our way with our valuables and we came to pick everything up the next day. I could go on and on with all of the little thoughtful details and reminders Karen provided but to sum it up if you are looking for a beautiful venue with the best team, look no further, Bloomingdale Golf Course is it!!

Karen stayed the whole night and continuously check in on us to make sure everything was running smoothly. The venue itself is very beautiful with wrap around windows and view of the golf course. The venue is absolutely stunning - the floor to ceiling windows and wrap around porch overlooking the incredible golf course is breath taking! The food and beverage choices were to die for! People are still talking about our wedding day and how amazing and fun our reception was and it was all thanks to The Bloomingdale Golf Club! We would HIGHLY recommend having your event here!!
