A HISTORIC VENUE IN AMITE, LA
Blythewood Plantation offers a sublime Southern setting couples dream of finding for their ceremonies and receptions. Located in the sleepy town of Amite, Louisiana, the Greek Revival main house on the 10-acre property was constructed in the late 19th century to take in the lush view of the surrounding 400 acres that made up the cotton plantation's holdings at the time. The mansion's commanding presence makes a stunning backdrop to your glamorous, vintage or romantic wedding events and photos.
Blythewood Plantation offers 10,000 square feet of indoor space, some of which is used for bed and breakfast rooms. You and your wedding party may rent the plantation for the weekend, enjoying the rooms and relaxing before and after your main wedding events.

There's room for more than 50 round tables, a huge tent and up to 600 guests for a ceremony or reception. Tenting is also an option for your ceremony or banquet space on the lawn.
Main plantation house. The interior of the home is lavishly appointed in period pieces. You don't need to do much in the way of decor because the rich wood, plush furnishings and elegant chandeliers set a lovely tone throughout the home. You may have your ceremony with up to 125 guests indoors or use the interior spaces for a reception with up to 175 people. We had our wedding their earlier this month and it was absolutely beautiful! My husband and I are both from out of state and were able to stay in the plantation as was our parents and some of the bridal party, which was really awesome since we have so many out of town guests! They also did the catering and we got a ton of compliments on how delicious the food was.
