I even saw my husband at some point enjoying taking the photos and knowing how to pose in photos better than I could. Steve's directions were easy to follow and helped us leave our awkwardness out of the photos. Also worth noting is that Steve was always available to answer questions or offer advice. He was also early to both shoots, and we were so thankful to have one less vendor to worry about. If you want a carefree photography/videography experience, I recommend The Brides and the Bees.

We truly appreciate Steve's passion and dedication to his work and commitment to making his clients happy — he made edits to some photos and video clips per our request and delivered them super quickly. Oh, and did we mention that he hooked us up with a drone on our wedding day?? Steve is an amazing film storyteller, and he gave us the best highlights wedding video (with awesome drone shots) that told a beautiful narrative and perfectly captured the feeling of the day. We love Steve and are so thankful to him (and his incredible team) for capturing our special day!

His initial presentation of his work and his process really impressed me in our initial meeting, as did his attention to detail (he remembered that we were referred by a friend and our location, so he made sure to show us photos of our friends, and of weddings at our location). Steve was super laid back and fun to be around, but always knew what to do next, in terms of locations for our engagement photos, or making sure that we got all the photos we'd asked for on the day of our wedding. I had been impressed by his portfolio initially, but when we received our own wedding photos back from Steve, we were absolutely amazed! The composition, lighting and structure of each photo was so specifically crafted---it's clear that Steve is a highly skilled artist and not just a 'lucky shot.' We truly enjoyed every moment we spent with Steve, and are so grateful that he was there with us to capture our special day. AND all for a very reasonable rate that didn't break the bank. was on July 2 and we received our highlight video about a month later. I absolutely love the highlight video. He captured our day perfectly and weaved a beautiful narrative. He chose the perfect moments of loved ones speeches to include. All our friends and family are so impressed with the quality and artistry of the video. Also working with Steve and his assistant on the day of our wedding was wonderful! He was super positive, kind, and even-keeled. He helped me not be stressed out. He was unobtrusive and so professional during the ceremony and reception. He captured all the important moments without getting in the way at all. It also seemed like he worked well with our photographer and coordinator. You end up spending a lot of time with your videographer and photographer on your wedding day so it's important to have someone you like and connect with. We truly enjoyed the time we spent with Steve and his assistant, we felt like we could be ourselves with them and had fun taking his direction. I am very happy that we hired The Bride and the Bees and I would highly recommend them to any couple for their wedding!!

Steve was the consummate professional and worked tirelessly to provide us with gorgeous, lasting memories for our engagement and wedding. His level of flexibility and availability astonished me. Looking back at the entire process, we could not imaging going with another photography company as they made the entire experience too easy and enjoyable. Their ability to capture both candid moments as well as moments that should be commemorated are as testament to their level of expertise. As an example, Steve grabbed us right at sunset and exclaimed that he needed to get pictures of us on the beach at sunset as they would be something we would cherish for the years to come. Just as an aside, my wife, who hates being photographed, felt so at peace and loved the entire experience. They were also very efficient. You realize how precious time is as a commodity during a wedding, and for your photographer to be able to capture all the moments you need remembered, and still allow you to enjoy your day is something that my wife and I only appreciated after reflecting on the day.

I had been a bit nervous about it, but we ended up feeling like we were spending the day with a friend (who also happened to be taking some photos of us). On the day of the wedding, Steve was on time and professional but also very relaxed, making the photo shoots – which can sometimes be stressful – fun and easy. Several of our guests commented on how nice the photographers were, and how much fun the wedding party seemed to be having in our photo session on the beach. The photos themselves came out perfect – gorgeous but also very natural, which was just what we had asked for – and he got them back to us sooner than I was expecting! Always a nice surprise. ☺ All in all, working with Steve was an absolute pleasure, from the initial contact through the planning process, wedding, follow-up and photo delivery. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for beautiful, natural-looking photos and a photographer who can set you and your friends and family at ease on your wedding day.

le. Importantly, his prices were very reasonable and better than the other photographers that we interviewed. After we hired him, we did an engagement shoot that went really well and we loved how the photos turned out. On the day of the wedding, it was extremely hot outside and he was very fast and efficient about getting everything done without cutting corners or making sacrifices on the photos. We have seen only some of the wedding photos at this point but they are great and I am confident they will all turn out wonderful. We also asked Steve toward the last minute to provide video services for the wedding which he was able to accommodate with no problem. Just one month after the wedding we received our highlight video. It was absolutely incredible. I couldn't imagine a better job. He got all the special moments and edited the video so that our vows run through the video as narration. The song he selected to go with the video was cool too! Bottom line, Steve is awesome and I highly recommend him for any wedding or event photos and video!

The fun part was that while he had scoped the place out to discover several guaranteed locations for great photos, he was creative about reading the right situations with lighting and finding new spots and poses as we walked around. Something we also really liked was that we felt comfortable being creative and trying anything that came to mind. It was very fun trying out different locations and having the right mix of serious and silly. Steve's passion for photography really shines through with his enthusiasm for his work. He is very professional and prompt, and it feels like spending time with a friend who happens to also take amazing photos. Now that we've had such an excellent engagement shoot with him, we're feeling excited and un-stressed about wedding day photos!
