Brideheads was so fun to work with for my wedding day! All my hair and makeup artists were very knowledgeable and made me and my bridal party feel and look our best on the big day! The trials were also a great way to see what I liked and what we wanted to tweak before the wedding.
Communication with the owner leading up to the wedding was difficult. Multiple follow ups were attempted before a response was received. The stylist was wonderful! She kept on time and was receptive to feedback.
I read the reviews online, and I decided to take a chance... I just needed them to show up on the day and get makeup done for 4 people. Plus the idea of having a mobile service was great! I interacted most with Angela, the owner.
Britney was our consultant and she was great wedding day! Makeup was well-done. She was friendly, helpful, and a lovely person to talk to while we were hanging out in our suite.
I will say that my communications were overall professional and straight to the point with Angela... And that's where the positives end when it comes to communications. I never spoke directly with Britney prior to the wedding; however, I was told communication with Britney was subpar as well when it came to attention-to-detail.
I was clear in the first email how many folks I needed and what was needed. After initial contact signings, we didn't talk until a few months later from them initiating. Angela asked me about trials as it was trial season (December). I made mention of one of my bridal party members and MIL wanting trials, and she said they don't normally do trials except for brides. They were still willing to do trials for them, but they should have had on file that I did not need a trial. No big deal but an example of a miss in details which is important in wedding planning.
My bridesmaid and MIL had a heck of a time scheduling with them. They would only get responses back the day prior to when they would propose a day--often ignoring the fact they were explicitly told the date didn't work. Bridesmaid never got a trial in and MIL eventually gone one in.
One and a half weeks before the wedding, Angela emailed me to let me know that the makeup cannot bit fit in based on how I outlined my timeline. Our venue arrival and start time was 12PM so that's when makeup needs to start... (Hair was being partially done before offsite) And ideally it would be all done in about 2.5-3 hours but there's some wiggle room. Keep in mind it was for 2 Bridesmaids and 2 Moms. The reason I had it this tight was because the website FAQ advertised up to 40min per person with high likelihood it would be a lot faster than that. She tried to propose other ideas such as starting earlier, but I had to settle on just excepting that it would be closer to 4 hours and it would bump up to a little bit before ceremony time. Not the end of the world as long as my 2 Bridemaids went BEFORE the Moms as we were doing bridal party photos pre-wedding. I gave the order in which people should be done and hoped for the best.
Fast forward to wedding day. I should have probed further to make sure Britney was OK to come back, but I took a breath and let it go knowing we can do makeup ourselves. Fortunately, Britney was at the venue. She did a great job and made great time BUT remember that specific order I needed to make sure I hit the proper time for bridal party photos? Either it was not communicated or a Mom wedged her way in there not realizing the importance of this order. It caused us to improvise a bit to make sure we weren't wasting time while we waited for the last bridesmaids to get her makeup done. I don't fault Brideheads for this completely since I do not know what happened, but it would have been nice if that importance of the timeline is followed.
+1 to them upgrading to electronic forms.
Decent value for the actual product received at the end of the day but it might not be worth the stress of the poor communication.
Any questions?
I booked Angie and her crew to help with my best friend's wedding and absolutely loved them! We only needed hair and makeup for three groomsmaids, two moms, and the officiant (no bride), so I think my review is pretty objective (unswayed by the high stress of planning a whole wedding since I wasn't the bride in this situation). Angie provided me with all of the answers to my questions and helped me make sure we had everything we needed for the day of the wedding. Her team did an amazing job with everyone -- our hair looked gorgeous, and our makeup was perfect and didn't budge even by the end of the night after we'd been dancing for hours. The moms looked especially beautiful. Angie and her team were professional and personable, arrived perfectly on time despite heavy snowfall that morning and iffy roads, and had us done earlier than our requested end time. I would absolutely use their services again.
I saw the reviews about communication and was prepared to deal with it. It was, as mentioned by others, not ideal. But, with some patience and persistence it was fine. I got the info I needed. No harm done.
Bright spot: Loved the makeup services we received day of; it looked great even in some pretty extreme heat!
Hair looked good immediately after being done but curls didn't hold up more than a couple hours (it was very hot and humid though so I don't blame them too much for this).
But what really brings my review down was that it took more than 7 months after my event to get my deposit back. After the owner shamed me for asking about my deposit a couple months after the event (told me I must have not read my contract), I tried to be patient. But, after 7 months with no refund I reached out again despite being shamed the first time. They had forgotten about me. Got my money eventually. In the end, it was not a disaster. But I think 3 stars is fair considering the service, communication, and price.
I called the brideheads number 5-6x and left messages when I was ~7m out from my wedding and got no reply. I also tried calling the actual salon as many times, leaving messages a few times, and never got a call back or even the chance to speak with a person.
I loved working with Angie and her amazing team! They did such a wonderful job, it was the prettiest I've ever felt 💗.
Being honest, email communication was slow at first, but I chalked it up to them getting a lot of inquiries (which Angie later confirmed). It was honest to goodness such a pleasure being styled by Angie and Shay. I'm so glad I didn't let the negative reviews scare me away.
Thanks again, Brideheads!
I hired Brideheads to do hair and makeup for my August 2022 wedding. Communication leading up to the wedding was not ideal. It was difficult to schedule my hair and makeup trials, and their email responses were not done in the most timely manner. However, the hair and makeup artists arrived on my wedding day on time, and their work was excellent. They were friendly and kind while chatting with us when we got ready. My mom, sister, and I were very pleased with our hair and makeup.

Hi Rose
3 stars is a pretty poor review. I’m very sorry you felt we fell short. Unfortunately you needed a trial on a very specific day since you’re out of state. Our contracted staff all have day jobs or go to school during the week. We try ou...
r best to accommodate everything a bride wants but sometimes it’s not possible. Although we were able to do your hair trial on that Friday morning the makeup artist attends college during the week, so she couldn’t do a Friday, I did personally do a trial for you instead. It is hard for brides to understand why it might take a second to coordinate schedules for trials. I have since employed a second virtual assistant so we can have faster response times for emails and trial bookings. Please keep in mind all vendors are still very overwhelmed with bookings that have overflowed from 2020, and we have not financially recovered from the shortage of weddings in 2020. We did our very best to accommodate your needs.
Angie is the best! I cannot understand the negative reviews, for real. She worked so hard to give me the exact look I wanted. It went great at the trial and even better on the Wedding Day! All three stylists were nice and personable and everyone looked gorgeous. I also use Angie for my regular stylist now at her salon, Rockabetty's! Highly recommend.
If I could give 0 stars I would!
DO NOT BOOK
Communication is terrible from the start, you need someone reliable and on top of things for YOUR day!
I have reached out several times in regards to phone call appointments twice now to possibly book and no call backs. Blessing in disguise for sure!

I'm terribly sorry you feel this way. This review is so unfair for us since you didn't even book services with us. We are experiencing unheard of volume with rescheduled 2020, new 2021 weddings and less staff. We have also had issues with our i...
nquiry form on our website and inquiries directly from The Knot often go into my spam folder. We have a chat bot feature on our facebook page, it links from our website, it answers questions 24/7 until I'm available. You can text , call, or email as well. It's 1000% possible I never received any inquiries from you at all. Id never ignore anyone purposely. We are doing our very best to keep up with this incredibly busy seasons demands. If anyone doesn't receive a response from one source, please just try another form of communication. I wish you the very best on your October wedding.
Save yourself the headache and do NOT book with Brideheads.
I was excited to work with them after seeing many positive reviews on The Knot and Wedding Wire but this experience was incredibly stressful and awful.
The services they provide are OK but working with the company owner, Angie, is a literal nightmare.
She does not stay on top of scheduling hair trials, nor does she communicate contract deadlines - or even communicate in general. It was incredibly difficult to get in contact with her and at times my calls/texts/emails would go a week or more without a response.
She is more than unprofessional, completely unresponsive and full of excuses for why she couldn't get back to you sooner.

I'm terribly sorry for your experience. We receive so very much correspondence it's an incredible challenge to keep up. I have since implemented a chat bot feature linked from our website to our facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Bridehea...
ds/ There you can be answered your inquiries and questions automatically 24 hours a day until I'm available to join the conversation. I'm constantly striving to give our brides the very best experience possible. Our challenge is that we've been wildly successful for 13 years and counting, so everyone wants to book with us. What a wonderful problem. Since we have a huge team of talented contractors we can book several weddings in one day, unlike smaller salons that can only book one. My motto is "leave no bride behind!" We take on as many bookings as possible and help both the last minute bride and the organized planning a year out bride. I personally am not always available 24/7 to answer bridal correspondence since I own a salon and have a full clientele. Our staff is all contractors with other day jobs, so their trial availability totally differs and is limited. I assure you won't be sorry if you book with us and you'll be amazed by our level of expertise.
I honestly can say you will be saving yourself a boat load of stress if you decide to go with any other company for your wedding day hairstyling needs. The day of was fine, the stylists showed up on time and did their job relatively well and went pretty smooth. Dealing with Angela on the other hand was anything but. I chose to ignore some of the bad reviews when I initially signed my save the date contract, but soon wished I would have looked elsewhere. She is extremely rude, unprofessional and hard to work with. she was unwilling to work with me when I was unhappy with my trial, and I ultimately decided to gave my friend do my hair for my wedding. On top of all that, she also was extremely unresponsive when it came to returning my deposit. I had to email, text and call numerous times and finally received my money back over a month after the wedding. Save yourself the headache and take your money elsewhere. I wish I would have.
Brideheads was absolutely WONDERFUL to work with! My bridesmaids and I worked with Tiffany and Hannah on our wedding day and everyone was so happy with how their hair and makeup turned out. Everyone looked GORGEOUS. It was so helpful to have everything brought to where we were getting ready. It was one less thing we had to worry about! I highly recommend Brideheads. Angela, Tiffany, and Hannah were professional, kind and very easy to work with.
Brideheads provided stylists that did a great job with our hair and makeup, but I was really disappointed with the services provided to me by the company itself due to their passive aggressive communication, errors, and disorganization. The worst part of it all is that one of the stylists brought her child with her to our room the morning of my wedding without asking or acknowledging it. This threw everyone off and was incredibly inappropriate and uncomfortable for us with changing clothes, our conversations, etc. I'm rating them two stars because the quality of the hair and make up was great, but the service from the company and my experience with them are underwhelming.
I was planning a wedding from out of town and knew that I wanted to use a mobile salon so the wedding party didn’t have hang around in a salon somewhere for hours at a time. I found Brideheads through the knot and had no issues at all planning. I must have changed my location 4 times as my plans kept changing and Angie was very understanding. Day of we had Alethea and Kim as our stylists. They were both great! They were very friendly and really listened to what you wanted. The whole bridal party was very happy with their hair, including myself. Considering I never got around to booking a trial, I was very pleased.
Our stylist Jamie did a beautiful job on my wedding hair, my daughter's hair and my makeup! He was efficient, professional and fun! I looked EXACTLY like I pictured!
I recently got my hair and makeup done as a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding. As we got to the wedding venue, it had been less than an hour since I had my hair and makeup done, and my hair was already coming out of its pins, I had to have the bride and groom attempt to fix it for pictures. We all noticed our makeup was weirdly orange as well. The stylist was super nice but it was very frustrating to spend money just to have everything be falling apart.
I can't say enough about Angie during the entire planning process and Jenna the day of our wedding. Angie responded very quickly and answered any questions right away which helped ease my mind and not feel like I had to be worried about hair and makeup.
Jenna was our stylist the day of. She arrived on time and she was so calm and efficient. Her calming and pleasant personality is exactly what I needed. She blew my hair and makeup out of the park. She seen my vision and created it with no problems at all. She was fantastic with my bridesmaids as well!
Stay away from Brideheads. We will never know if Angie can do hair as we cancelled after Angie would never schedule a trial after taking our $150 from the Save the Date Contract. Horrible customer service! We signed the Save the Date contract in early June and by the end of August after sending emails and emails to Angie, she would never even schedule a trial hairdo. We weren’t asking for the actual appt to happen yet, just asking for it to be scheduled, so it would be one last thing to worry about. Most emails to Angie went unanswered or she replied that she simply cannot schedule a trial for an October wedding when she hasn’t even scheduled the trials for the August and September weddings yet! When I cancelled the contract (she wouldn’t even return the money) she stated, “I’m not ignoring you, I’m just busy!” This company is run by an unprofessional and completely rude woman!
I worked with Angie at Brideheads for hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids and the MOB and MOG. Angie and her crew came out to our suite at the Doubletree which was very convenient for us. We filled out a few questions ahead of our services and did mostly Ok - it was a bit tough for me to translate the photos my ‘maids shared with me to the options given on her questionnaire. We ended up with a few discrepancies but those were all worked out the day of. A nice bonus is that Angie and her team offer airbrush makeup application for no additional fee. I had my makeup done by a woman named Corinne - she did a wonderful job and was patient when i asked her to adjust my eye makeup a few times. A couple of my girls had to have their hair or makeup touched up by another woman (Dani) on the team because they didn’t love how their hair or makeup turned out. Overall, our hair stayed put all night and i felt like my makeup also stayed looking fresh. Some of the gals didn’t love how the photos they brought translated to the hair-do they ended up with, but as long as the photo you provide is simple I think it will turn out great.
I did not have a good experience with Brideheads, and I would not recommend this company to others. When I first contacted Angie to ask if they were available for our wedding date, she responded immediately, and so I sent in the $150 deposit to reserve the date. Their website says they want a final contract in place 60 days prior to the wedding, and so once we were within that time frame, I emailed Angie to ask a few questions about the exact services that some of my bridesmaids wanted, as well a question about when I could schedule my hair trial. A week went by, no response. I emailed again, no response. I waited a few more days and called and left a voicemail. I then received a text message from Angie saying she was on a trip and would be getting back to emails the following Monday. Okay, fine...but then that Monday came and went, and I heard nothing. I waited until Thursday of that week and texted back asking when I could expect to hear from her. Still no response. So finally on the following Monday - which was now 3 weeks after I contacted her, and less than 3 weeks to go until my wedding!! - I emailed to say I was cancelling services and booking with another company. Of course, she then responded immediately to that email. But with no apology, and still no response to my questions that I had originally sent. Just an excuse about how she is very busy and that I would not be getting my deposit back. Very, very poor response, with no regard for customer service.
I understand you may be busy...but not responding to someone when they try to repeatedly contact you for THREE WEEKS - especially with my wedding just around the corner! - is simply unacceptable. I have not had this issue with any other vendor I have been working with for my wedding, and I'm sure they are all very busy. As I read other reviews about this company, I could see that I was not the first person to experience this. I decided I would happily forego the deposit I had put down and instead book another company out of Milwaukee that has much better reviews, and that I can count on to communicate with me and show up on time for my wedding day.
Very happy that I cancelled Brideheads. My advice to other brides looking for a mobile company in the Madison area is to find a good company out of Milwaukee or Chicago. Yes, you may pay a bit more, but it will be well worth it. You get what you pay for.
Super rude - I sent a message via this app and got a very dry rude response that completely shot us down of all the reasons why my wedding would be a bother to them. Thanks but no thanks.
All in all customer service is awful, the owner doesn't understand who the customer is, or if she does she simply doesn't care, and doesn't seem to think she's in the "customer service industry." Every other person I worked with for my wedding was very responsive and friendly. If this review gets a response from the owner it will likely attack things I say, will not be apologetic and will call me things like a "mean girl" or ask "do you feel better now?" If all you care about is having your make up stay on all day and your hair stay in place all day, have your hair and makeup done by Brideheads. If you want to be treated nicely, go somewhere else.
I got married in late September 2016 and contacted Brideheads in late march of 2016. At the beginning the owner was extremely responsive and attentive to questions and concerns. In mid July I emailed to ask about when I would be scheduled for a trial, given my wedding was in September I assumed this was a reasonable question timing wise. Days would go by with no response. On either the Brideheads or Rockabetty website there is a little note that says if you haven't heard from us in 24 hours email us, or something to that affect. I would wait longer than 24 hours, most of the time, but I was a bride getting all of my details ironed out for my wedding and no response from the person in charge of my hair and makeup was nerve wracking. After countless unanswered emails, not even asking concrete dates for a trial, but the approximate time I might have a trial done I eventually got a trial scheduled. This was after booking a appointment with another salon and telling the owner I wanted my deposit back, I understand the concept of a non-refundable deposit... I tried. Trial was good, I was happy with hair and makeup, liked my person.
Day of was fine, nothing too spectacular nothing bad. Everyone in my party, 4 people including me, was getting lashes. Since I was the bride I was obviously last, and they had just enough lash clusters to do one of my eyes, the other eye was a normal strip cut in half. I was told that it wasn't a big deal, and no one would be able to tell. I noticed it, I notice it in my pictures, but at this point the only thing I can do is write a review. Calling the salon owner the day after to talk about it would not have solved anything, as far as I knew no other lash clusters were available. The owner boasts about how they are the best in Madison. I would assume that the best in Madison would come fully prepared to make sure that if four people request lashes they are all going to get the best lashes. Given most of the reviews I have seen online with responses from the owner, she will come on and likely say that there was another stylist scheduled to be with us. There were four of us, one with a pixie cut, one with a bob, one with a half up, and me. Our two stylists arrived at 8, by 10:45, when the third person showed up I was almost done, our stylists told here she could go, I didn't even see her. Just an odd experience.
Angie was really patient with me. My initial trial was a bit of a struggle because I wasn't really sure what I wanted. She went through what it would look like half-up/half-down, to the side, and an updo. I landed on an updo and did a second trial which went much better. Angie does an awesome job with make-up where it doesn't look plastered on. Day of the wedding the team was on time and did fabulous work.
went above and beyond to help. i only paid for one hair stylist and she ended up bringing another girl to help us out. we finished with plenty of time and they were both so nice and NORMAL! it is hard to find a hair stylist that wasn't stuck up or didnt talk to you. everyone loved their hair!
Bridesheads traveled to the dells and completed my huge wedding party in the time line I needed. Everyone looked beautiful. The hair and makeup artists were very friendly and professional!
I hired Brideheads for my Wedding in August and I must say I am not impressed. The owner is very difficult to work with and does not understand the concept of good customer service. The make-up artist did a very sloppy job on our make-up and everyone had to re-apply. The only upside was working with Rachel Marie; she did a great job on everyone's hair and really listened to what we wanted. I would definitely work with her again, but outside of brideheads. Besides Rachel Marie, very competitive pricing for low quality service. I would not recommend.
Only 1 stylist was sent out to do hair for 4 girls. At least I had contracted a 3 hour-window, but she arrived late, ran out of time, (and not because we slowed her down -- we avoided asking her to fix styles we were unhappy with because we knew she didn't have the time.) Then since she was late, she skimped on the last girl's hair and didn't even curl it. But of course, the charge is still the same because you pay in advance. I know this place is capable of good work because I've seen it before, but it's so dependent on which stylist you get -- be wary.
We had six people who needed service. My moms hair was really short and was still charged 50 dollars for it which to me seemed like a lot for a few curls, however their prices for up-dos were competitive with other salons.
One of the stylists was late and left early while there was still one person needing their hair done. The conversation that occurred by one of the stylists was less than professional. Additionally, as the one stylist left before everyone was done, we were ready to go a half hour behind schedule. It was convenient that they came to us so we didn't have to make our way to the salon. I was underwhelmed with them but you may have a different experience with different stylists.
Very pleased with the service!
We had a great experience with Brideheads. Two friends who'd used them recommended them for hair and makeup, and I was really happy with my look on the day of (my bridal party looked gorgeous, too!).
Angie and her team are definitely an entertaining bunch, and had such a positive vibe going the whole morning of our wedding. They were on time (came to our hotel), carting a ton of hair and makeup products, and even stayed overtime for a few touch-ups and unscheduled hair and makeup requests.
Though they were a little bit hard to get in touch with as wedding season picked up (understandably), the day of the wedding, we had their undivided attention. And my hair and makeup held up perfectly! Thanks so much to the Brideheads team for making us all feel so glamorous.
I had my hair, makeup and eyelashes done and my bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done as well. Angie and her girls did an amazing job! They were very professional and accommodating. Angie was even able to help us in a pinch and do my daughter's hair when we couldn't get it done in time! It was such a big help to have them come to the venue's bridal suite instead of taking hours away from decorating to go to a salon. Anyone getting married in Madison or the surrounding areas should consider Brideheads! Great job, great service, and great price!
I confirmed a contract with Brideheads to do my bridal party's hair and makeup for my wedding. Our contract had a scheduled arrival time of 12:00 pm. By 12:10 pm, the team had not arrived and we could not reach the owner or the stylist by phone. We finally heard from them at 12:30 pm, stating that they were on their way. At this point, since they were already late we started making other arrangements. My maid of honor spoke with the owner when they finally arrived to my house 45 minutes late. First, the owner told her that they wouldn't have been so late had they not had to pull over to speak with us. Second, they told her that they would be charging us the full amount for the service, even though they were late, because we were cancelling. When we told them we had made other arrangements, the owner told my maid of honor that the new place we were going was likely going to "suck" because any place that has openings this late wouldn't be quality. Thankfully, I had a great experience with my hair and makeup despite Brideheads. Unfortunately, I was in fact charged the full amount ($598) for the services I did not receive. I am seriously disappointed.
Response from the Vendor on 09/08/2014
We require contracts. That way you know we are going to be there and we know you are financially committed to us. We were slightly behind from our previous wedding due to lack of parking and downtown events, but still had plenty of time to get ...
services done by the requested end time. The only reason she says we were 45 minutes late is because the when the MOH called my other stylist Kristi and told her "don't bother to come, we've made other plans" I had to pull over en route to call her, and explain our contract policies. The reason we have this is we turn down countless brides and weddings after we are booked, so if someone changes their minds we are out the income from the bride that changed her mind and the income of any other potential bookings we turned down. They had every opportunity to receive outstanding services from us, but decided at the very last minute they didn't trust us and wanted to go elsewhere. I did tell her that the quality of her services booked last minute down the street would not live up to us. On such a busy wedding day, if a stylist is still left with openings last minute, you should take that into consideration. We use bridal specific beauty supplies, waterproof makeup, humidity proof hairspray. Other salons that don't specialize in bridal like we do may not use those things, resulting in fuzzy hair that falls, or makeup that sweats off. I've never had a situation like this arise, the MOH didn't even let me talk to her bride, and wouldn't let me in the door. The trial we did for her matched her requested pictures perfectly, the stylist Kristi even did several looks for her since she wasn't sure what she wanted to do. The bride ended up sending her stylist a youtube video on how to curl hair just before the wedding. Needless to say, apparently she wasn't happy with her trial, our slight tardiness fueled the fire. She never let me know she was unhappy with her trial, if she had I would have done the services for her instead, and offered a retrial. *My advice to brides so this doesn't happen to you.* Read through your contract. Don't skim, sign and turn it in. i know you are busy, you get them from all vendors, and it's boring. Other vendors have the exact same contracts and strict cancellation policies we do. We have to. The bridal business can be fueled with all sorts of emotions and personalities. Secondly, if you are unhappy with the results of a trial, let your stylist/makeup artist know that, so they can schedule you another trial, or send another artist. Sometimes brides and stylists just don't click, and that's perfectly ok. Unfortunately with reviews, people rush out to write a negative one, but the happy brides hardly ever take the time to leave a positive review. I'm currently trying my best to collect more positive ones from our 99.9% happy ones. Please take that into account, and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
I would NOT recommend this company. I chose them because they travel which was nice..that was the only thing I liked. Angela is terrible at communicating. She didn't respond to my emails for weeks. It was incredibly stressful. On wedding day, she sent 1 stylist to do 10 updos. She stylist complained the entire time about how she had to do 10 other updos for another wedding after mine. She rushed through all of our hair. She was rude and yelled at my flower girls. When it came to my hair (the bride), she was unwilling to work with me and just did want she wanted to do. I ended up crying in the bathroom. When she left, my makeup artist admitted she's never seen a vendor be so rude/mean to a bride.

There's a message at the bottom of my email that reads, if you don't get a response in 24 hours please resend. Reason being we get a gazillion emails and you might get lost in the shuffle. We're very popular and very busy. I check emails day an...
d night for brides planning during work, in the middle of the night, whatever you need. I warned Michelle of the importance of a trial appointment, and that without one there would be much stress added to the morning. She said she couldn't afford one and I told her we would do our best for her. Unfortunately she chose a style she did not have the hair for. When that happens there isn't time to do multiple styles on wedding day. The day for multiple styles is on trial day. Trials are normally a separate price, but we may be increasing our bride prices for 2015 to include trials just so everyone takes advantage of them.I wasn't there, so here's Rachels side of the story. The reason I only sent her, was because she's a ninja, and can do big groups quickly herself and have time to spare. I'm try not to overstaff. The bride said she had 10 more updos to go and do, that's not accurate, it was 4 more in the afternoon, long after they were finished, so it's totally irrelevant. She didn't rush through, she took plenty of time with each bridesmaid. She said the bride also had a too big over sized flower which she tried to use, but didn't look good. This too would have been figured out in a trial. If she was short with the flower girls it was because they were misbehaving and nobody was doing anything about it, taking her mirror, throwing her bobby pins, they even got a time out. As for her rude/mean attitude, she was joking with the makeup artist and bridesmaids and had a great time. The time frame was completed with time to spare that day, the maids were happy, the bride was not but that's because she thought she's be getting a style that was too much hair, for the little bit she had. *ADVICE* ALWAYS DO A TRIAL, MAKE ROOM IN YOUR TRIAL IN YOUR BUDGET, IT'S REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT!!!
I was so fortunate to discover Brideheads and book them just in time for my wedding this summer. The whole team of hair stylist and make up artists are incredibly talented and very accommodating. I had to add people at the last minute and there were several of us cramped in a small hotel room. The Brideheads team handled it all in stride and the results were amazing. They were able to meet the individual requests of each of my unique bridesmaids. We received countless compliments from all of the wedding guests on not just my hair and makeup, but all of the bridesmaids as well. I would absolutely recommend Brideheads for any event!
I loved having my hair done through Brdeheads. The girls were simply amazing! Funny, down to earth and knowledgeable of what looks stunning made my wedding night perfect. The business is run via contract so you both know what you want and plan on paying for, as well as making sure there is a physical documentation of a follow-through instead of worrying if your vendor will show up or not on the big day. They are very reasonably priced considering you will want hair and makeup done, and if you have some bridesmaids who are anxious about spending a large amount of money on hair and make up, it will cost them about $100-120 for everything depending on what they want to get (airbrush, false lashes, full updo vs half, etc). Most places charge $100 JUST for the hair or makeup alone. And my hair and make up looked just as phenomenal at 11 pm as it did at 1 pm. They also offer airbrush makeup which is a much nicer professional look. Brideheads comes to you on your big day so you do not have to worry about getting your entire bridal party there on time, worry about transportation, or any setback you could occur (because let's be honest things will NOT run smoothly on your big day).
Bottom line is if you go through Brideheads you will be happy, satisfied, comfortable and look like a million bucks!
bride heads was amazing from the first curl to the last mascara stroke. they were on time and very enthusiastic even at 9am which helped all of our excitement just grow more. i had a trial hair and makeup done a month before and the day of the wedding, she not only duplicated it but made my hair looks as others called it "like a Grecian goddess" I loved every minute of it and they made myself and my bridal party feel beautiful!!

Thank you darling. You and your mother and bridal party made it oh so much fun for us too. Sad it's over :(
Completely unprofessional. Emails/phone calls were not returned. They did not listen to personal requests and after politely expressing dislike in my hair and makeup, they just gave a big sigh and had rude remarks. The two hair stylists even had an argument in front of my bridal party the morning of my wedding. They left the morning of my wedding, fully knowing I was not satisfied with my hair and makeup. I ended up having a bridesmaid redo my hair and make up and looked much better.

Hmmmm here's my side of the story. The bride came to her trial with a curly updo with volume and a heavy beaded headband. Her picture did not include someone with a headband. This combo doesn't work well, the headband creates a dent in your vol...
ume. She did not do a makeup trial. Wedding day arrived (a sunday) and she had new hair pictures. Same idea as trial day, but smooth, and she had a makeup picture that was a subtle smokey eye with liquid liner and false lashes. I prepped her hair then completed her bridesmaids hair, then came back to her. After making the hairstyle look just like the picture, with her headband, she looked in the mirror and said "I don't like it and I have no idea how to tell you to fix it". She then proceeded to take up a lot of time asking everyone individually for opinions of what she should do because she doesn't like it. She then had me smash her volumized swooped bang into an oblivion and put an awkward bobby pin her the middle of her swoop severely smashing it down. All of this left me with 20 minutes to do her makeup, no prior makeup trial. I did a perfect likeness of her picture very quickly, without the lashes as she requested. She looked in the mirror and you guessed it, she didn't like it. She retreated to her bedroom to "fix" it by piling on black eyeliner all the way around, and then her and her bridal party bolted for the door. I certainly did not "leave her". She left. Her Mother, made me a peanut butter english muffin and fruit plate, and helped me to my car.
****My advice to brides.**** Have a realistic picture for trial day along with back ups if you don't think it will work out. If you have a headband, find a picture of a style with a headband ,or tiara. They change a hairstyle substantially, especially one with volume. If you know you are picky about your makeup schedule a trial! You don't want to leave it up to chance on wedding day. The best time to schedule a trial is the last appointment. If you are indecisive, we can keep going with different variations until we have a solid plan, without being rushed. I am Angela Schulz. The owner and founder of the company. I'd do anything for a bride and anything to make a bride happy, even answer emails in the middle of the night. I can't however be reached on saturdays, guess what I'm doing, or during the day when I'm with clients. Email or texting is the best method of contact. If you prefer a phone call, you'll have to wait until I'm not with a customer. There's no such thing as a short conversation with a bride :) This month we are in Brides magazine, featured in an article titled Best Big Day Beauty Salons in America. There are only two listed in Wisconsin, WE ARE ONE OF THEM!!!! We didn't get that because we are bad at what we do, we are truly dedicated. Sometimes unfortunately you have people that will not be happy with anything no matter what. That was the case that day. Please disregard her unfair review and move on to my many happy glowing ones. Thank you for reading my response.
I hired Brideheads and signed a contract just from reading reviews and looking at their wedding gallery pictures online. Big mistake on my part. Angie was very friendly via email prior to any problems. I went for my trial 2 weeks before my wedding and it was terrible. Melissa barely looked at my pictures (even though they say over and over how important pictures from all views are) and proceeded to saturate my slightly damp (it was pouring outside) hair with Paul Mitchell firm hold hairspray and putting in hot rollers. When she took them out the curls looked like there were still hot rollers in them and they were crunchy from too much product. I still thought (hoped) she knew what she was doing but I was wrong. She put my already thin hair in a ponytail ( I wanted a simple side updo with soft curls) which left not a lot to work with. She also ratted my hair and then left few strands to cover it and combed it all straight to the back. I looked hideous. When I looked at it in the mirror (they don't let you see the process), I politely told her the things I didn't like about it. She went to comb it and I could hear my now brittle hair and asked her to stop before it broke off. Also, Angie suggested she try that colored powder for thin hair...I do have thin hair so I was up for trying it out...she had no idea what she was doing. IT was caked on my scalp and forehead! I literally had to scrape it off. She claimed she could make the changes on the wedding day with no problems. I paid and was trying to keep a positive attitude but as I drove home, I got more upset. Then when I got home and was able to look at it in a well lit area (the salon is very dim), I could see my worries were legit. My then fiance asked what happened to my hair. Not the reaction you want on your wedding day! I took pics of it and showed friends the next day. Everyone had the same reaction as me except they were even more outraged that I even had to pay for that and that professionals actually did and said they liked it. It looked nothing like any of their work online. I then looked at their Facebook page and see Melissa had just been hired. I contacted Angie and her emails were defensive and not nice. She definitely wasn't trying to make me feel better. She did finally agree to have a different girl, Dani, come the day of the wedding. Still not confident about this salon's abilities, I contacted my regular stylist and luckily she was able to get me in early in the morning the day of my wedding. I really wanted to get ready with my girls at my venue but couldn't risk a horrible hair do on my day. Unfortunately, I still had to pay for my hair with them because of the contract so I asked my personal attendant if she wanted to get her hair done since I had to pay anyways. Everyone was leary to get their hair done and everyone had pictures to help the process. Dani called me at 9 am the day of the wedding and was snippy with me asking why I wasn't at the venue...we weren't scheduled until 10. She didn't believe me and said she'd call me back. She couldn't get a hold of Angie but I had the proof in emails that it was 10 but his exchange left me feeling anxious (I hate conflict). Dani was a hundred times better than Melissa but still not awesome. Everyone had very different pictures but everyone's hair looked very similar because she just did a basic updo for everyone and barely looked at the pictures. Horrible experience and waste of money. Do not recommend.

Jamie inquired super late for her services and I explained we were already very booked but I could find enough stylists for one more booking. I was there during her trial. She did not express that she was unhappy with it, yet said she was happy...
, tipped and left. I didn't get the angry email until the next few days. She proclaimed her dislike and I explained that stylists need a chance to get to know your hair and after a practice things will go much smoother on wedding day. She did have very thin hair with visible scalp showing on top. I then agreed to send my top stylist/ makeup artist dani, even though it meant rearranging all the other brides stylists that had inquired early. Needless to say dani wasn't even going to be doing the brides hair, her regular stylist was. Not sure why she didn't arrange that in the first place. I did everything in my power to satisfy this bride, but it wasn't possible. Please dismiss her nasty review and take notice of all our good ones and our best of awards. My life is brides and weddings. I would do anything for a bride in need to the very best of my abilities. In Melissa's defense, she has done many brides, many updos, and is a very talented stylist. If she wasn't, she would not be on my team.
Angie is so calming and goofy, she (and Danni) not only made me and my ladies look AMAZING, but during the whole process was helping keep everyone on the more sane side of things :) We opted for the airbrush make-up which surprisingly enough did last throughout the day in the outside June heat! The prices are also fair but not crazy expensive like some "boutique" salons. These ladies are real women with some awesome skills!
Brideheads did our bridal party's makeup and hair before our wedding, and were great to work with! They were by far the most reasonably priced up-dos and makeup I could find, and the best part is that they come to you (your home, hotel, church, etc.) Angie and her girls came to the church bridal prep room to do our hair and make-up the morning before our afternoon ceremony, and we looked great for the rest of the day, receiving lots of compliments. The air-brushed makeup was fantastic, and lasted throughout the night, and was light and fresh-feeling. I would definitely recommend them! -A satisfied bride
First off, I did the trial. I was not in love with my outcomes, but I shared this over email and on the day off, and they assured me that I could change the things I did not like. I should I have went with my gut and changed vendors at that time. This was the only wedding vendor of my day that I was unsatisfied with.
1. Both the hair and makeup artist were 30-45 minutes late which made our whole day fall behind. They showed up frazzled and in a terrible mood.
2. Everyone's hair in later pictures was loose and falling apart. I had beautiful attendants and luckilly a family friend is a hairdresser, so we were able to repair the damage.
3. No one got what they wanted from the picture. They seem to do very simple prom hairstyles, nothing very elegant or sweeping, and even those do not stand up to the wind.
4. My makeup held up to sweat but my eye makeup was nothing special as the bride and the shade looked like a very simple streak of gold across my eyelid. We were having a good day overall, but I wish I would have complained then... no one wants to be that bride though!
My wedding hair and makeup was even more lovely than I ever imagined! I felt confident and beautiful on my wedding day!
Words cannot describe how unhappy I was with this service. The number of people who were to have their hair done that day was booked (it was a small number of five people), so there was no surprises for the hairstylists. I ended up sitting in hair rollers for 2 hours while the girls worked on everyone else. While I patiently waited for my hair to be done it was very evident that the stylists were running low on time, they had another wedding that they had booked and needed to run off to. After sitting for hours less than 10 minutes was spent on putting my hair together. I had an exact picture of what I wanted, but my wishes were neglected because they were in such a hurry. My hair was nothing like I wanted, I was not happy with it and made me feel self conscience all day. Even though I felt like I was slighted with my experience (and it was very evident to everyone else that I was) I still paid full price for the service. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had having my hair "professionally done." I would never wish the unsatisfied and horrible feelings I felt that day on anyone let alone a bride on her special day. I would never recommend these ladies to do hair for a wedding party, I would in fact deter someone from using them.
I recommend Brideheads salon to future brides looking for hair and makeup stylists. I planned my Wisconsin wedding from another state and found Brideheads when conducting Internet searches for hair and makeup stylists. The quality of the hair and makeup services was excellent. Both my hair and makeup (airbrushed) were done beautifully and lasted through to the evening. I appreciated that Brideheads is a mobile service and came to the hotel my bridesmaids and I were staying at. Another bonus is that they do Sunday weddings! Brideheads provides more than just high quality hair and makeup services, they are also "an experience" in and of themselves. I say this because the ladies who make up Brideheads are refreshingly frank and entertaining. If you have a diverse group of bridesmaids, like I did, they really help to get the group talking and laughing. If you are the type of person who is scared off by tattoos and brightly colored hair, you shouldn't be. They provide the hair and makeup service that you request and don't impose their personal style on you.
I love the ladies at Brideheads. I found them through my sister as she used them for her wedding and I knew I wanted to use them as well. I love there convenience of coming to you on your wedding day so you don't have to drive around town all morning getting ready. I love how they are laid back and easy to joke around with. I would recommend these ladies for any wedding because of how good they are and the convenience on your wedding day! Thank you so much for your service!
I decided very short notice (about a month before my wedding) to have my make up done. I contacted Angie at Brideheads & she had a makeup artist (Corinn) avaiable the day of my wedding. I went and did a trial and decided to have Corinn do my makeup and 2 of my bridesmaids the day of. She is super talented, listened to what I wanted and did a fantastic job. She also came to us where we were getting ready, which made everything that much easier. I highly recommend Brideheads!
The team did an amazing job with hair and makeup for our day! They were very enjoyable to work with. They did an amazing job!!
Angela is a joy to work with. She came to our hotel and did the hair/make-up for all 5 of us and was on-time, professional, friendly and everything was prefect!
Use this service, it is way better than going to a salon with your bridal party!!!
Angie and Dani came all the way to Waukesha to do hair and makeup for myself and five bridesmaids. They were so easy to work with and everyone looked absolutely beautiful. We asked for all different styles, but they did everything perfectly. They worked with straight and curly hair with great results for all. The makeup was subtle and natural and I didn't have to worry about it the entire night. They were fun and super quick, I would definitely recommend Brideheads to any bride!
Communication is not their strong suit. It often took a long time for Angie to respond to my e-mails and she lacks some professionalism. They did show up on time, which I know some people have complained about, but I was the first of 2 weddings they had to do. She has a fun, vibrant personality though and will do what you ask her to. My hair didn't hold up well throughout the night, however.
The make-up person she uses has a bit of an attitude, and argued with me about the number of people in the contract (I was right). She also charged a lot of money compared to the amount of time she actually spent (e.g She put some lip gloss and blush on my flower girl and charged $30).
Angie is amazing. I loved my hair even more on my wedding day than I did in the trial and it was awesome at the trial! They were prompt and came fully prepared and cranked through our entire bridal party plus a few add-ons!
The whole bridal party looked fabulous- polished and with the style exactly how they wanted.
I envisioned my wedding day morning hanging out with bridesmaids, slowly getting ready and sharing some quality time together. I definitely did want to be running around to different salons getting our hair and make up done and then running around back at the hotel getting ready. Brideshead was 1 of 2 salon services that offered both hair and make up and would travel to you. I did a trial run and they did an AMAZING job. They were efficient, super fun to work with and came up with a stunning wedding day look with very little assistance from me. I did pull out some magazine pictures and tried to articulate what I wanted but I don't think I was all that clear. Regardless, Danielle and Angie created a *perfect* wedding day look for me and all my bridesmaids and they were extremely reasonably priced. Highly, highly, recommend!
Angela and Dani are two awesome hairdressers and helped make getting ready tons of fun! They came right to my hotel room which was great and allowed my bridesmaids and me to relax and enjoy the afternoon! They did beautiful work and all of our hair was still looking great at the end of the night! I'm so glad I found them and didn't have to worry about going somewhere just to get our hair done then going back to get dressed...talk about convenient!
The thing I loved most about Brideheads was that they came to us! The last thing I wanted to worry about on the wedding day was rushing between hair and getting ready and getting to the venue on time, so being able to stay at the venue and have them come to us was amazing. Angela and Dani were great with hair and make up, and they did a great job making us feel comfortable. Even though we were under a time constraint, the girls never made it feel like they were pushing us out of the chair, so to speak. If you need someone to come to you, I would say to give them a call!
I had the best experience working with the wonderful crew of Brideheads!!! I would highly recommend them to everyone! They were so organized and very helpful...not only with our hair and make-up, but they were very attentive to our needs. They did an excellent job on all of our hair and makeup...we were all thrilled with the results. I cannot say enough about them, they do an amazing job and they are so friendly.
Thanks to Angie and Dani, my wedding day was just perfect! I cannot say enough about this service! Who wants to travel to a salon on her wedding day? Not me! Angie and Dani came early enough to do all the girls hair and make up. We had a blast with them. Everyone looked fantastic. I have recommended them to so many brides because their services are top notch! These ladies are great! You wont regret using Brideheads for your wedding!! Thanks ladies so much!
Shoot I forgot her assistant that day but she was great too, Angie had a mishap of being double booked in the Dells the day of our wedding, THANK GOODNESS she didn't back out, and was instead doing both weddings. We started super early and for the most part my hair held up. By my face went flat before pictures had even begun/before the ceremony, but the girls did a great job otherwise. We enjoyed their company and their work.
Angie did an okay job of providing hair service. Her traveling service was invaluable for me, as my mother-in-law has a difficult time getting around, so having her hair done at the hotel was the only way it could be done. However, within 4 hours, my curls were coming undone and my hair was falling out of the braid. Fortunately, a curling iron and a few well-placed bobby pins fixed it, but this could have been done better in the first place! Finally, the timeliness was completely lacking, which was irritating because time was at a premium on my wedding day. I did not appreciate waiting half an hour at 6 am for the hairstylist to show up! She did try to call and let me know, but only 20 minutes after she was supposed to have shown up.
Angie did a great job on the hair and makeup for our wedding. It was great having her come to us rather than my bridal party having to travel to a salon. We were able to relax and hang out while having our hair done. Everyone was so happy with the way hair/makeup turned out. They listened to what we wanted and worked to make us happy.
