My Mom and I went in here today as the first stop on a multi-shop planned run to look for a wedding dress. I should say that we had wildly different ideas about what a dress might cost. My Mom was thinking that $500 would buy a nice dress, an...d I suspected that a couple thousand dollars was much more likely. When we went into the small shop, Mary, the owner, greeted us and gave a great overview of where things were in the shop and the various price ranges. We looked around a little bit and a few dresses caught my eye to try on. The highest price of the three was $1200, and it was gorgeous, with hand-sewn beading, soft and plentiful fabric of good quality. I would've thought that all three were outside our range by a good margin, whether it was mine or my Mom's range. One of the three dresses (Mary's suggestion and beautiful) was $500!!! I ended up settling on a dress that was just over $1,000 with a discount for buying the one in the store. Hand sewn beading, strapless, fitted bodice with a fluffy floor length bottom and a chapel length train. The double veil had the same beautiful beading and was less than $200 more. I really can't say enough about Mary, she was so sweet and she has a background in dressmaking and can do tailoring on even the most intricate gowns just before the wedding. We have a tricky sizing issue for our wedding and a very short timeframe (1 month!) but she was willing to move things around to be able to get the fittings done and the dress perfect in time. I was so lucky and happy to be able to have this experience with my Mom, but I have a feeling that any bride that went into the shop would be treated by Mary like a daughter. She worked to give us a great deal and we left the shop very happy with the entire experience. Recommend!
