We had Lothar come to Galena to paint live at our wedding. He was so great to work with throughout the entire process and the final piece was absolutely stunning- he is so talented! We had so many guests comment on how cool this part was from our wedding. He was even able to turn our wedding painting into our thank you cards which was so unique. We’re so happy to have this special piece in our home.

We were so fortunate to have Lothar at our daughter’s wedding to capture the first dance through his eyes! He was wonderful to work with, fantastic with communication throughout the process and his work is stunning! He captured several key moments and key people in one painting, truly amazing! Working with Lothar was a dream. I saw one of his paintings in a gallery and when I inquired about it, I was thrilled to learn that I could have this same artist paint our wedding live. At our initial consultation, Lothar made everything so simple. He asked what we were looking for, how we wanted him to interact at the wedding, from what angle we wanted the painting, who would be included in it, etc. His presence at the wedding was wonderful for two reasons. First, it was unbelievable that guests could watch him work on the painting at the reception, and second, that he that he spoke with everyone that stopped by to watch. Everyone enjoyed his wonderful personality-he truly felt like a guest. Our painting is gorgeous and captured the moment and feeling of our wedding perfectly. It takes us back to our special day in a way that no photograph could ever do. If you are thinking about doing this for your wedding, don’t think any more, just go for it.

Lothar is SERIOUSLY the best. From the first time I spoke with Lothar about my wedding vision to the final product, it felt like the painting told a story for a lifetime to come. The best part about a live painter at the wedding the fact that you have a family heirloom in your family for eternity. The wedding day snaps by, but having a gorgeous piece of art from a classically trained artist is something unique. Most people were in awe of his work that he was creating right before the guests very eyes. Lothar would not hand over the painting until it was perfected by him.
