Business Time

important to us as part of our day, and Business Time performed at the ceremony, during cocktail hour, and then the reception. We got (and weeks later, continue to get) so many compliments from our guests, some of whom are professional musicians. As one of my guests told me, music makes or breaks a wedding, and they KILLED it! If you have the chance to see them in person, absolutely do not only to get an idea of how well they play and get along with the crowd, but also just for a great night out! Cannot recommend highly enough.

The dance floor was jam packed; we had the best time! We had our first dance to Kiss the Girl from the Little Mermaid - their rendition was the best I've heard :) They also learned a Van Morrison song, Bright Side of the Road, for our Father Daughter dance and nailed it! The band members were all so friendly and happy to make our day extra special - cannot recommend these guys enough!

He made my husband and I feel like old friends throughout the entire planning process; he even walked us through the entire contract over ice cream! My husband and I got married on April 8th, 2017. HENOMENAL! Their keyboardist played for my ceremony and cocktail hour, and then the band crushed it at the reception! I can guarantee you that Business Time is the only band you'll find on here that will take an email written a week before the wedding, requesting that they learn Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling," and actually learn and play it. You don't need to know much more than that about these guys. They're the best!

My groomsmen and I wanted to do a surprise performance for my wife and guests. The band was incredibly receptive and worked out all the logistics with the venue. Our dance moves could use some work, but the band was great! I definitely recommend them for your wedding as they are extremely versatile and accommodating for any size or venue, and are very reasonable in price. Usually, you get what you pay for. In this case, you get MUCH more!

We saw them play in Boston once prior to our wedding and that was a great time too, but at our wedding they were so great about MCing in way that was a perfect blend of personal to us and professional as a rock band. My favorite part, of course, was the all out performance of "possum kingdom" by the toadies, which got tons of compliments itself. They worked in some Led Zeppelin within "Shout" and the entire performance displayed their excellence as a premier and talented band. You will not be disappointed. After we booked the band, they provided us with a thorough questionnaire covering all aspects of the band's performance and their mc duties for our night's events. Mark worked with us on the set list, though we mainly left it up to the band. The dance floor was never empty and the band's energy really fed the party and our guests loved it. The pianist for the band also performed our ceremony music, which was great to only hire a single set of musicians for the whole evening. The band could have also played during our cocktail hour, however, we preferred to have recorded music, which the band provided at no additional cost. I would highly recommend business time both for the professional preparation for our wedding and their performance.

t, on to the more important part... the party. Business TIme started the party RIGHT AWAY and kept it going all night long until our venue had to shut us down! The band garnered only exceptional reviews from just about everyone at our 150 person wedding. The dance floor was PACKED from the moment the music started until the end of the night, and the song selection had something for everyone. Wedding favorites, bride and grooms favorites, something for the older crowd and something for the younger crowd... but everyone danced and sang non-stop. My friends even told me they had never danced that long at one time before... they didn't want to miss a single song. The bartenders at our venue and our photographer told us they had never seen the dance floor fill up so quickly and stay packed all night long. The bartenders and servers even told us that the band created such a good party that our wedding was the best they had EVER worked. Not to mention, we also had people peeking in the doors of our reception because it looked like so much fun and they HAD to know who the band was. The band even learned multiple songs for us, including our first dance, and did it so beautifully. We would have certainly missed out if we hadn't had them perform it. We also added on the horn section, which was fantastic! Business Time is the nicest, most talented group of guys you could ask for. I could not have imagined a better day and a better party, and Business Time MADE the night. I would gladly recommend this band to ANYONE. I'm hoping my sisters will hire them for their future weddings ;)

We used Business Time to play guitar during our ceremony, and play at our reception and cannot say enough positive things about them and the feedback we received from our guests about them (and still get months later). They learned a few new songs for us and overall played a great variety of music that kept everyone from my 93 year old grandmother to our friends on the dance floor the entire night (none of the cheesy typical wedding band music)! The day after our wedding our wedding planner made it a point to not only tell me how great the band sounded, but from a business standpoint how professional and easy they were to work with which was nice to hear. Per our request they played some acoustic versions of some of our favorites, which sounded awesome at our outdoor ceremony. I can say that everyone left pumped and blown away. (We even had a few that needed to be dragged from the dance floor even after Business Time obliged our guests with an encore after a "One More Song" chant.) Business Time plays all types of music, and play it all well. From classic wedding jams to new pop songs, Business Time has played it all…and probably crushed it! This band is a great group of guys, who love what they do. They are very organized and are incredible musicians. I'm not sure what else you could ask for. If you are looking for a wedding band and Business Time is available…book 'em!

e guys were extremely easy to work with. Mark was always easy to get hold of, extremely prompt and thorough in answering any of my questions, and always professional throughout the entire process. Also, they did a great job of coordinating with the venue manager and staff. I never once had to think about sound equipment, electrical requirements, setup/teardown logistics, etc. because the band so carefully handled all of that. So, Business Time offers multiple band configurations at different price points. We ended up going with a 7 piece configuration (2 guitars, bass, drums, keyboard, 2 horns). This was a more expensive option, but I'm very happy that we ended up making this decision because it was most definitely worth the price. Before booking Business Time, we saw them perform live at the Lansdowne pub near Fenway, and we were immediately hooked. At that gig they just had the 5 piece band (no horns) and they sounded amazing. When we heard them at the wedding, backed by the horns, though, they were indescribably awesome. One of the great things about working with professional musicians is that they are extremely flexible and accommodating, musically. They were able to help us craft a very personal, acoustic set for the ceremony. And for our first dance, we didn't make it easy on them, choosing a somewhat obscure funk tune from 1970. But they learned the song at our request and performed it flawlessly. The live music was definitely one of the major highlights of the night. Many of our guests commented on how much they loved the band and how surprised they were with the quality (as they were used to your typical cheesy wedding bands -- which Business Time is anything but). I think what ultimately made them so popular (besides just being well-accomplished, professional musicians) is the fact that they were great at reading the crowd, playing a wide range of music, and keeping the energy up. As you plan your wedding, there are going to be plenty of issues to deal with, fires to put out, etc. Give yourself one less thing to worry about. In working with Business Time, all we had to do was tell them what we wanted, and they did the rest.

After their last set, the crowd was chanting "one more song", and I asked them to play a little more, and they said "the bride asks us to keep playing, we keep playing!" The crowd went wild and they played until the venue closed. Besides the music, they were the utmost of professional throughout the entire process. They really listened to what we were looking for and Mark was so responsive and really showed stellar management of the engagement. I will recommend this band to every one of my friends who is getting married, and I will definitely go see one of their club gigs also. comfortable that we were in good hands. They were very clear in their communication and also very accommodating. It was as if they were looking forward to the big day as much as we were! On the day of the event, they could not have been more helpful - from setting up a PA system to pipe background music at our cocktail hour, to helping the father of the bride edit a song mix for the Father-Daughter dance in Garage Band in between sound check and reception - they were truly a full service operation! Everybody from the 20-somethings to the 80-somethings told us they enjoyed the music thoroughly and if it weren't for the Ben & Jerry's ice cream for dessert we may never have peeled them off the dance floor. Sure, we had a little bit of input on the playlist but the menu to choose from really transcended generations and there was truly something for everybody! We had a full dance floor all night and that's exactly what we were hoping for. Business Time delivered in every department.

, cocktail hour, and reception. Some of the songs were uncommon, but my heart melted when they played the processional songs for the ceremony so beautifully. The band was really professional yet easygoing, and was able to make a few last minute changes during the day. The reception music kept people constantly on the dance floor and the only thing we would have changed was extending the reception longer; we didn't want the night to end!
