With a very short summer wedding season the Buxton campus offers venue options for you to design your dream wedding. Nestled in the northern Berkshire hills, this pastoral, 129-acre campus is secluded, yet within walking distance of downtown Williamstown. From a magical outdoor wedding, to cocktails on the terrace, to dinner and dancing in the dining hall or under a tent, the former summer estate provides spectacular views. Rehearsal dinners and next-day brunches are available to couples hoping to make the celebration last the weekend. And couples can offer overnight accommodations for up to 60 in the school's three dormitories at a very competitive price. Spend more time celebrating together and less time traveling between venues. Let the serenity and beauty of Buxton's campus be the backdrop for your special day. Summer is season for weddings at Buxton, for both one-day and weekend events we offer dates from late July- Labor Day. During the academic year, Buxton is a boarding and day school. As a result, only one- day events are available and only during certain times of the year when school is not in session. run of the campus for the weekend and in the days leading up to our wedding, which gave us plenty of time to get everything set up. Though we brought in several outside vendors, Buxton's own Chef Heather Mumford was an amazing asset and resource in planning many facets of the event. She provided a seasonal and delicious feast that was as much a pleasure to look at as it was to eat! Our guests enjoyed staying in the dorms and it was great to give people an affordable option for accommodation. The grounds were well kept and looked beautiful. This is not a cookie-cutter wedding venue; it is something quite special!

We feel so lucky to have found the Buxton School as a venue for our wedding. As educators, we loved the idea of getting married at a school, and Buxton turned out to be the perfect venue! We were able to use all of the dorm rooms on campus for ...

our guests, and they loved that they didn't have to rent expensive airbnbs or coordinate transportation. The available housing on campus allowed our guests to enjoy the weekend by being fully present. We also loved that we could use so much space to spread out our events. From a frisbee game and our reception on the fields to a dinner in the main house, drinks on the patio, and a ceremony in the gardens, we were able to spread the weekend out and take full advantage of this gorgeous place. Most importantly, we felt really supported by everyone that worked with us from Buxton. Suzy, our day-of coordinator was incredible. When decisions needed to be made and plans changed at the last minute, Suzy stepped up to make it all happen. We are so grateful. We certainly learned a few things about planning a large party along the way (we didn't consider bathrooms or the power supply to the tent until late in the process), and the staff was helpful in improvising and supporting out needs all the way up to and through our wedding day. Buxton deserves our highest recommendation.
