end Heather's services to anyone. I hired a wedding planner as I was planning a Maine wedding from CT, and because I was also in grad school and working. I thought this would make my life easier. In fact, it caused more stress than anything else. Heather made a great first impression over the phone. We hired her right away. She was hired for general logistics and planning, day of coordination, and styling and design. Fast forward to about two months before the wedding when Heather informs us that she will not in fact be present on the wedding day, but another planner (Kris). I should add that, prior to this, there were several emails that I sent Heather to which I received NO response. Additionally, she had promised to send me a timeline of key events and decision points to assist in my planning - also mentioned in the contract - which I never received. I was also to receive a style and design board - that didn't happen. Now, Heather claims that she told me she would not be present on the day of the wedding when we first spoke. This is just not the case. If it had been, I would have asked to be connected with the point person immediately in the process. The first invoice she sent me had the wrong date on it. Did she mix me up with someone else? Maybe, I don't know. Regardless, I was not happy to find this out two months before the wedding. Luckily for Heather, she has Kris Dean. If you need a wedding planner, consider going directly to her instead. She took over for Heather, and managed to do so fairly seamlessly. (Although I think I had to fill her in on some of those emails that Heather "never received.")
