We are so happy we chose Cakes by Happy Eatery for our wedding cake! It was beautiful, exactly as we envisioned, and most importantly tasted amazing! Victoria was great to work with, and we really enjoyed the initial tasting to try all the various fillings and flavors. Would happily recommend them to any other couples looking for a phenomenal bakery!

Cakes By Happy Eatery was amazing! We ended up doing a 10" cutting cake that had our personalized topper and then 120 cupcakes stacked to look like a wedding cake. We even got 4 different cupcake flavors for no additional charge. It was absolutely beautiful! They also incorporated some of our silk florals to match the table decor, which was great. All flavors of the cakes were a hit, but mint chocolate chip was definitely the favorite! I would without a doubt recommend this bakery for any upcoming wedding, event, etc.!

WOW - Victoria was amazing. We chose her for both our rehearsal dinner cake and wedding cake. She is organized to a T and will make everything hassle-free. It is very easy for her to translate your vision into a direct quote and experience. I called her once to check in and she had all of our details available in seconds. The cake was really delicious - guests raved about it - and it was presented beautifully. On wedding day, it was like Victoria was a magician - she knew exactly where to go, how to set up, and to find our custom topper quickly and without a problem. Thank you!

Best cake I didn't have the chance to eat!! Victoria was so accommodating to us. She provided some extra mini deserts and a cake that our guests LOVED. Unfortunately we'll have to wait till our 1 year to try it, but I can't wait. The cake was so light, fluffy and just sweet enough. It came out beautifully and the decoration on it was just beautiful. Thank you Victoria!!! We'll definitely be coming back for more!!

Our wedding cake was a traditional 3-tier with buttercream frosting and chocolate with chocolate mousse/ vanilla sponge with raspberry mousse. It was DELICIOUS. Still getting rave reviews of our cake! Happy Eatery was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with - from our initial cake tasting consultation and explaining our vision for the cake, to the reassuring confirmation phone call a few days before the wedding, and their delivery and set up of the cake with our provided cake topper and flowers from our florist, was perfect! I'd recommend them to anyone in the Northern Virginia area needing any baked goods, but especially for their wedding cakes for not only flavor and beautiful artistic work, but great service as well.

We just did a cake tasting for our wedding later this March. Victoria was very organized, professional, and full of amazing ideas to add to our wedding cake vision. We chose to use Cakes By Happy Eatery after attending a friends wedding where we enjoyed the most delicious, perfect textured wedding cake we have ever had. Victoria was very helpful with our specific needs of peanut/nut free and had add on options for our Celiac/gluten free guests. We discussed follow up meetings, possible changes in our guest count, delivery concerns with the unpredictable March weather, and easy payment options. Victoria and Cakes By Happy Eatery is a breath of fresh air in the hectic planning stages of organizing a wedding. We look forward to working with her and eating our dream cake!

I worked with Cakes by Happy Eatery for my wedding cake, we went to visit two times and each time we were very pleased. First of, they have VEGAN cake options, which is a HUGE deal. Second, it was absolutely DELICIOUS! I took my idea to Emily and she made it exactly how I asked. I highly recommend them for an event or just a vegan cupcake! You won't be disappointed. We literally cannot wait for our anniversary to get our delicious anniversary cake!!!!!!

The cake was delicious and everyone wanted more! They did such an amazing job, delivery was perfect, and Victoria was great to work with!

We LOVED our cake and so did our guests! I brought in a picture to Victoria that I found on Pinterest and she was able to deliver on point! We received so many compliments on the cake. Victoria has a fantastic eye and experience in showcasing our cake. I had some misgivings when our cake topper arrived and it looked rather dull, but Victoria assured me that she would be able to use it. (We had no idea how to put the cake on display, but she knew just the right elements to make it shine. The simple white cake was presented on a gold overlay with some candles and it was just beautiful!) Not only did the cake LOOK great, but we were pleased with the TASTE as well! :) My husband and I wanted a traditional Chinese type cake because we don't like things that are too sweet and since most of our guests are Chinese as well, we figured they would like the same. We were able to balance expectations by having Georgetown Cupcakes as our party favors for those with a sweeter tooth. (Oh... and as an aside, she also makes SUPERB moon cakes! She actually MAKES them so no more shady imports from China in a tin for us!) Victoria was able to make us a sponge cake with a chestnut mousse as one layer, Bavarian cream with fresh fruit on another layer, and a strawberry mousse with fresh strawberries as another layer. Victoria made us a real cake for about 110 guests! (No sheet cake in the back for us!) The best part is that you don't have to freeze your top layer! She promised us a cake for our one year anniversary! (I can't wait! Especially since we barely got to eat any of our own cake on our wedding day.)

Our wedding planner referred us to Cakes by Happy Eatery, which have moved to Manassas now actually. They were so great at their customer service, we ended up getting a bigger cake than planned. My sister did all the negotiations, so I am not sure of the pricing, but we ended up with a better cake than ever imagined, because of the personalized consultation, and suggestions made by the designer. In the end, our "simple little wedding cake" became one of the Eye poppers at the wedding.

Our cake was beautiful! It was delicious and huge! Couldn't have asked for more.

We went for a cake tasting appointment here and it was the worst experience. The lady brought us cut up pieces of dry, yellow cake with little piles of random icing on a paper plate. She didn't tell us what we were tasting, but I could have made a cake from a box better than what we were given. She asked us what design we wanted and we told her about our theme and colors and then spoke to us rudely about how we should have come with pictures of cakes we liked. We were not impressed and obviously didn't use this vendor!!!

They make the best cakes I have ever tasted! Everything tastes super fresh and light. I would recomend them for any event, not just your wedding. We even got a groom's cake from them. The rum cake is to die for.

We loved our cake! Our wedding was the day after the derecho knocked out power to most of the Northern Virginia area, so I was concerned about whether the cake would make it to the reception. When we arrived at the reception, it was set up beautifully, and had all the flavors we requested. The staff was easy to work with, and I would definitely use them again for another event.

Cakes by Happy Eatery created my wedding cake and a groom's cake and I highly recommend them. Victoria and her team are very detail oriented, and thought of questions that I would not have considered. They are wedding experts. We scheduled a cake tasting, and everything was delicious. We chose a Bavarian fresh fruit-filled cake and plain vanilla. Victoria was very flexible in adding a groom's cake later and it was a nice surprise for my hubby. She is very organized, and it was nice to not have to worry about how the cakes would turn out.

We used the Manassas location for our cakes. Instead of one large wedding cake, we wanted a couple of different kinds of regular sized cakes. We didn't go for an official tasting -- we simply bought a few different cupcakes and slices of cake from their store. We decided on 4 different flavors: cookies and cream, lemon, red velvet, and peanut butter. We picked up the cakes the morning of the wedding and they were decorated very simply but elegantly -- exactly as we wanted. We barely got to taste the cake but I know the peanut butter got rave reviews and the cookies and cream was deliciously moist. Definitely a success!

The cake was delicious and we all wanted seconds as well as thirds.. lol.. Cant wait for my free topper on my anniversary!!!

The cake looked and tasted incredible! It was exactly what I imagined and even better! Happy Eatery exceeded my expectations!

My groom and I have different preferences in cake...coconut for him, chocolate for me....and Happy Eatery nailed them both! Everything was so moist and fluffy..even the fondant was really good (at most weddings I scrape it off because its so hard and chewy)!! They captured the exact look we were going for as well with only a picture and some color samples to go by.

I'm still having a hard time getting over the sticker shock of wedding cakes. That being said, this was the best wedding cake I have EVER had and A LOT of our guests told me the same. It was delicious and I ate it for about a week after the wedding! My only problem was the decoration of the cake...it still fit into the theme of our outdoor wedding but I imagined it would look more elegant.

We ordered delicious cupcakes from Cakes by Happy Eatery! They were fantastic during our tasting and pretty good during the wedding as well. Little expensive for cupcakes. Best part--they bake a fresh anniversary cake for you on you 1st anniversary so you don't have to freeze the top!

I came in with a picture of exactly what I had in mind. They did a great job, best price, best tasting cake from all the places I went to. They will also give us a free cake on our one year anniversary so we got to eat the top layer after the wedding, it was AMAZING!!!

My wedding cake was beautiful and tasty- also when you purchase a 3 tier cake, on your 1 year anniversary you receive a complimentary 3rd tier!
