Breathtaking Wedding

Napa has a plethora of gorgeous wedding venues to choose from and it would have been extremely challenging for us to choose one had we not meet Laura, the Weddings & Events Manager at Calistoga Ranch. We had been in correspondence with some of the most loveliest and sought after... Read More wedding venues in Napa but Laura's professionalism, knowledge, attentiveness, flexibility and friendly demeanor significantly out shinned all others. So much so, that we decided to host our wedding at Calistoga Ranch and I can't express how elated we are that we did! Throughout the planning process we were extremely impressed with Laura's responsiveness and expertise. She was diligent in responding to any and every little question or request we had, making us feel as though we were the only ones hosting our wedding at Calistoga Ranch (which we knew was so far from the truth). She is highly organized, friendly, and has an impeccable ability to chime in when appropriate. Laura is exactly the type of person you want to have by your side when planning such an event. Our wedding was in April 2014 and the property was so beautiful and abundant with blooms of all shades. We held our ceremony and cocktail hour on the lush Lommel Lawn overlooking the breathtaking scenery, and our dinner reception was held in the wine cave which was glowing with warm and romantic candle light. Every service and detail we had discussed over the 10 months of planning was expertly executed and placed. Each event (the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner reception) was more beautiful than we had dreamed of and was seamlessly orchestrated from beginning to end. The service was impeccable; we and each of our guests were greatly cared for throughout the entire day. The Food was excellent (and we are tough critics). We had the unique experience of sitting with Calistoga Ranch's Chef who had encouraged us to share our favorite foods and ingredients. The end results were a personalized menu for our wedding that reflected our tastes and style. He was remarkably creative on the spot in forming a menu that embodied all that we honor in cuisine (fresh, organic and local produce accentuated with fresh herbs and spices). It was a delicious culinary feast! Our wedding was even more magical and carefree than we could have hoped for because of Laura, her excellent team at Calistoga Ranch, and the amazing vendors we had supporting us. The natural eloquence of the scenery, understated sophistication, excellent food and impeccable service has given us, and all our loved ones who attended, such a rich moment to revisit for a lifetime.

The Perfect Venue!

My wedding was in December 2012. We decided on a destination wedding and after looking at several properties around Napa Valley and Carmel, we found the perfect wedding venue at Calistoga Ranch. It was the perfect blend of rustic elegance that we were looking for. Honestly, we... Read More couldn't have made a more perfect choice. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) was amazing--the location (a breathtaking wine cave), the food (the chef even customized the entire menu for us), the details (nothing was overlooked), and the people. Throughout the entire planning process, we felt special and important. Laura Vaughan was incredible! I can't say enough about her. Not only did she listen to us, work hard for us, and accommodate our special requests, she was so kind to us, which makes all the difference. I had high expectations going into my wedding, but Calistoga Ranch completely blew me away. I highly recommend this venue.

The Calistoga Ranch was a perfectly amazing venue for our wedding. Our ceremony and after party was held in their intimate wine cave. pricy but exclusive and elegant

This is a perfect venue for smaller weddings and elopements. It offers a reliable selection of vendors and coordinate your entire event in the elopement package. Service was wonderful and the location was exclusive. I had to upgrade several details in my elopement package and... Read More paid extra in order to cater to my style. The ambience for the reception at the Wine Cave was elegant and food was spectacular. My event was great and almost stress free with minor hiccups. One of our wine selection was incorrect and we did not receive all the uneaten/untouched wedding cake (except for the cake top) from the reception. We barely touched the cake as we were all too full but a bit disappointed knowing there was hardly leftover to eat afterward. Sadly, I also received no response from CR event coordinator when I addressed this issue in a follow-up e-mail.

Gorgeous natural surroundings with a 5-star tag

The natural beauty of Calistoga Ranch is pretty much insurmountable if you're planning an outdoor wedding. The scenery and location is pretty much as good as it gets. The staff is friendly, and attentive, and the chef makes some DELICIOUS food. My only advice is make sure you... Read More are extremely clear about exactly what you want, almost to the point of being annoying, while in the planning process, because they do make mistakes. To err is human, but when you're forking over $35,000+ for a wedding, mistakes in menu/alcohol/cake preferences are pretty much inexcusable. When I cut into my "vanilla cake with raspberry filling" to see nothing but Chocolate I was pretty annoyed, but of course the day was great so I wasn't going to let it upset me too much--I just made sure they comp'ed the cake on the final bill!
