One of the things we loved most is that they include so much: linens, charger plates, a beautiful array of centerpieces, etc. Everything came together so seamlessly. Susan and her team are amazing, and their day-of coordination service took an enormous amount of pressure off me and my husband. We were able to fully enjoy our day knowing everything was in expert hands. Maryn was also an absolute joy to work with. She made sure every detail matched exactly what we envisioned, and the end result was nothing short of perfect. ecause her menu is so extensive, she hosts tastings every other month for all her booked couples—and for the past 2½ years, we attended them and were consistently blown away. It made choosing our menu so much easier, and on the wedding day our guests could not stop raving about the food. The jambalaya was especially a huge hit! Throughout the planning process, Susan spent countless hours with me in design meetings, helping us bring the vision for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces to life. She also communicated with our other vendors, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. She was always just a text away whenever I needed her, and I had complete confidence that we were in great hands. On the day of the wedding, Maryn was incredible. She made sure every detail was set exactly the way I wanted, coordinated everything behind the scenes seamlessly, and even helped my daughter bustle my dress before the reception—something I’ll always be grateful for. The spaces looked absolutely stunning, and the entire day flowed perfectly thanks to her. We also hired Catering by Robert for bartending services, which were offered at a very reasonable price. The bartender was professional, efficient, and kept everything running smoothly at the bar. If you book them for your wedding, I highly recommend adding on the bartending services—it made the entire experience even better. The staff that served at the reception were all awesome and attended to all guests perfectly, from hors d’oeuvres through the entire reception. They provide a “day of event planner” (Maren) who is absolutely phenomenal. She waited on us hand and foot and predicted what we needed before we had time to ask! On a scale of one to 10, I would give Catering by Robert a 10.”

more! We went with their buffet option and I’m so glad we did! No one left hungry! Susan was beyond amazing, making sure there were food and drinks brought to the bridal suite after the ceremony. They served us first but because we were making rounds to say hello to all of our guests, our food went cold and they immediately brought us out another plate. There was SO MUCH FOOD. Some fan favorites were the mojo pork, sweet and sour chicken, the mashed potatoes, and pasta. Susan also provided the charger plates and other decor items at no additional cost which was AMAZING. I'm genuinely not sure what we would have done without them- and my (now) husband and I both agree that our wedding may well have been the best day of our lives. Everything was perfect. We are also continuously hearing after the fact how well-coordinated everything was, in addition to how amazing the food turned out to be. y went, Catering by Robert was just amazing.  Specifically, Susan Stalnaker (owner) coordinated everything and all went without a hitch.  Everyone loved the food and the staff was fantastic!  Susan's vast experience proved to be priceless during the entire process - from the first day we met with her to the day of the wedding - she made herself available to us.  We will definitely be using them again for our next event!!!! TEN STARS OUT OF TEN!!!!!

m day one. We have a lot (A LOT!) of complicated allergies in my family . So first we had a private sample tasting for which Susan took into account all of our dietary constraints. Then we attended regular events hosted to sample more of their food (the servers let us know what had gluten and other ingredients of concern) – it is like going to a reception with out the loud music! Even sampling signature drinks! To me this is going above and beyond anything I ever heard of. My daughter had very specific centerpiece ideas and wanted to do most of them herself but we were able to coordinate to use Robert’s supplies in some cases to save us money and effort. At the end of the evening the catering staff packed up all of the various pieces and sorted out which were my daughter’s and which were theirs. I am not at all comfortable hosting events (That is an understatement. I find it terrifying.) and as the day approached it was a relief to know that Susan was keeping track of all the vendors involved, the deliveries day-of etc. A Day-Of Coordinator can easily run $1500 just for that service and she tosses it in. Susan came over to Pinellas twice in advance, once to meet with the woman who runs the hall and to see the hall. Then the day before she happened to be able to bring us the tablecloths so we could set the tables up in advance. This is not always a practical thing to do and took so much pressure off that she happened to be able to do it. Susan has a calm demeanor and seems to take everything in stride and her presence and demeanor helped me to keep calm as we hosted the biggest event we have ever hosted. While the advance and Day-Of Coordination is nice, the primary reason to pick the caterer would be for the tasty food and Catering by Robert absolutely delivered on this. I am *thrilled* to have so much leftover mojo chicken in my freezer right now ( a lot of last minute cancels from covid/flu) and I would really, REALLY love to get that signature smokey cheddar dip recipe as we have been enjoying it since the wedding and I am pretty sad it is gone. The staff all did a super job and Maryn, our Coordinator, was very good at communicating and coordinating with me. By the time we started the reception I could just relax and know all was in good hands and I was able to enjoy the evening and even the wrap up at the end was so easy working with this excellent and professional team. Thank you to Susan and all who helped make my daughter’s wedding reception such a wonderful event.

We did a served buffet with the chicken marsala, Parma Rosa pasta, honey baked ham....and the star of the show, a giant dish of paella! At the end of the night, they packed up all our decorations and leftover food and put them in a spot close to the venue entrance, so all we had to do was put it in the car. be a bit of a harsh critic. Susan quickly replied to (and resolved) any and all communication from me, and from anyone else on my behalf. She asked excellent questions so she could be sure to give me exactly what I wanted; and her questions clearly demonstrated her many years of experience and expertise. She gave advice and offered solutions to problems that I didn't even know I had. She made sure that I was on top of things that needed to be done within a certain timeframe. On the day of my wedding, I sincerely felt like a queen. No exaggeration. She assigned a particular young woman to be my "assistant" for literally any and everything I could ask for, and then she also offered me things I didn't even know I wanted; all done within moments. (I REALLY wish I could remember her name to give her proper credit for truly making me feel like royalty!) The food was just incredible! I STILL have guests begging me for recipes from our wedding! The calypso meatballs - NOT TO BE MISSED! And the home-made vodka sauce... just mouth-watering!! EVERYTHING tasted WONDERFUL! And I am EXTREMELY picky... The fact that I was able to get my tables, chairs, plates, etc. and A TON of decor from them just made everything that much easier when it came to coordinating the whole event, especially on the big day. I KNOW for sure that I had to be a complete pain to work with; I was totally clueless every step of the way, I procrastinated everything because I'm also an indecisive control-freak... The list goes on and on... I can't imagine having my wedding done by anyone else! Every time I thought that Susan and her team were perfect, she'd go and do something else to surpass my hopes and expectations again! Every single person on her team that I encountered seemed so genuine and warm and happy to be helping our event run smoothly. They all felt like extended family!
