Cavin is the most talented photographer ever for weddings!! She is so professional, kind and patient and made our entire experience from engagement photos to wedding photos absolutely perfect. She even sent helpful tips for getting ready for our wedding leading up to the big day. She also shoots in film, which turns out so beautifully. She got our pictures back to us sooner than expected for both our engagement and wedding pictures. She was my favorite vendor we hired and would definitely hire again.

From the very beginning, I knew that the photographer was the most important vendor of our wedding day. Cavin was one of the photographers on our venue’s preferred vendor list, and as soon as I saw her work I knew she was the one. Her style is bright and airy, romantic and just beautiful. It’s not over or under processed. She is a warm and friendly person and was a joy to work with. I’m so happy that we went with her, because the photos of your wedding day help keep those beautiful memories alive in your mind for the rest of your life, and they look perfect through her lens.

I had no doubts about Cavin at all, but all my happy feelings were solidified when we had the engagement session. Cavin specializes in posing couples!! My husband and I were so appreciative of the way she told us how to pose and look our best in every picture. If all of that doesn't convince you, she returned both our finished engagement photos and wedding photos to us in record speed. I am flabbergasted at the quality and beauty of the pictures. I want to print out all 800 of them and hang them over every inch of my house. Please do yourself a favor and lock down this incredible lady for your wedding. Thank you so so much, Cavin!!!!

We are so fortunate to look back on our wedding day with the most gorgeous photos. Cavin made it so easy. With a short engagement, Cavin was incredibly organized and made sure we were on the same page. It wasn't the way it was planned as I broke my leg a month and a half before our wedding day. Choosing Cavin Elizabeth as our wedding photographer is one of the best decisions my husband and I have ever made! Not only is her photography absolutely stunning, but she also made working together a delightful experience from start to finish.  Shortly after we agreed to work with Cavin, she sent us a copy of her beautiful book as a welcome gift. We returned to the invaluable tips she laid out in her book again and again as the big day approached, and the guidance was incredibly helpful! Cavin also included a complimentary engagement session in our package, which was a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other before the wedding. We used the gorgeous photos from our shoot for both our invitations and for the guest book that Cavin made for us for the wedding day, which was a huge hit! In addition, she got to know us and helped us feel fully prepared for our wedding day through thoughtful and detailed questionnaires in the months leading up to our wedding, which was so helpful.  Cavin photographed both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding, and the photos from both events are simply breathtaking! After the wedding we chose to purchase a large photo album as well as a smaller album as a gift for our family. Lasting photographs for our wedding were of the utmost importance to us going into wedding planning, so Cavin was the very first vendor that we hired and we couldn’t be any happier with that decision! We were drawn to the clean and classic aesthetic of Cavin’s images, as every image appears bright, and every shot is sincere and joyous. Past the quality of the photography though, Cavin makes the whole experience, which can be overwhelming, very manageable and enjoyable. We first worked with Cavin during our engagement shoot, and when we received our photos gallery, we were both overjoyed and speechless by the professional quality and the bright and candid shots Cavin was able to capture. Over the next few weeks as we began to send save the dates, we received so many compliments about the beauty of our photos. She was able to casually direct our wedding party, creating moments that felt like we were at informal gathering rather than a structured shoot. Time becomes the most valuable asset as you plan your wedding and Cavin maximizes her use of that by sending helpful tips through email and easy to fill out questionnaires as well. Additionally, she is always available for any questions you have and responds to emails at lightning speed. Her technical expertise paired with her knowledge of San Diego’s finest locations allows her to produce images of the highest quality and she was such a joy to work with throughout the entire experience! We can honestly say we are incredibly fortunate to have had her help with these experiences and that her work is the highest professional quality. Hiring Cavin is a MUST! There is so much more that goes into wedding photos than I could have ever even known or thought to ask which is why I am so glad to have worked with Cavin. Beyond her stunning photos which you can see through her portfolio, what really stands out is the way in which she works with her clients. From the second you get on the phone with her you’ll see that her warm and engaging personality makes her easy to talk to coupled by her extensive knowledge in the space. She was telling me everything I needed to know that I didn’t even know that I needed to ask. My husband and I did the package with the engagement shoot which I would HIGHLY recommend. We actually had a family friend photographer initially take some photos for us and I was so nervous by the way my husband froze up in the photos. When we met Cavin a few months later he instantly eased up in the photos because not only did she make him feel comfortable but she was efficient at nailing the right shot in the first take. Every couples goal is to look good in a shoot and trust me, Cavin knows how to take the most flattering photos. She’ll gently guide you on what to do with that awkward hand or how to tilt your head so you're not later regretting why you put your hand like that. Coupled with the amazing experience we had with our engagement shoot, Cavin has put together a newsletter of some of her best wedding tips. Since many of us don’t get married more than once ;) it’s helpful to have someone who’s been there and done that sending you resources along the way. She truly makes you feel like she’s one of your biggest cheerleaders along the way. Plus the book she published, “Picture Perfect Wedding” makes for a beautiful coffee table book after you’re done drooling over all the gorgeous photos. On the day of the wedding Cavin arrived early to get situated and to begin taking photos of our invitations suite and the venue. Because Cavin had asked in advance about our wedding decor and colors, she actually showed up with various styling pieces like a gorgeous ring box and loose stamps (which I of course forgot to pack- thank you Cavin!). We loved our unique invitations but oh my gosh the way Cavin styled everything together with the decor she brought and pieces from our venue made for some gorgeous shots. When it came time for group photos Cavin was calling family members and important guests by name to ensure we got every photo arrangement we had talked about in advance. I thought it was such a sweet touch that she made an effort to focus in advance on who she should watch out for to ensure we got photos with all the right family members. Once again, her prompts were amazing. When you have big groups of family coming together in a shot, you want someone who can quickly place everyone, make them look good, nail the shot and then help you move on to the next. My husband and I BOTH commented that after being in other weddings of friends it really makes a difference to have a photographer who can give great photo direction both to the couple and to groups. We just go our photos back and I can’t stop looking at them. We seriously could not have asked for anything more from Cavin and in a way we are almost sad that this means an end of our “relationship”. So many vendors you just meet for the day but you really feel like you get to know Cavin. Thank goodness for a lifetime of beautiful photos and instagram so we can all stay in touch. Hiring Cavin Elizabeth for your wedding photography is a MUST. I don't even know where to begin. My wedding coordinator sent me Cavin's information when we were still searching for a photographer for our wedding. As soon as I saw her website and Instagram account I was blown away. There is something about each image that just looks so special and her signature style just shines through. I knew right away that it had to be her! From the first phone call that went so amazingly, to the welcome email that we received after, I was confident we made the right choice. Cavin is amazing at what she does. She has literally built a successful business from the ground up. As soon as you become her client she practically hand holds you the entire way up to the big day. I received countless emails filled with amazing tips, tricks, information and more. These emails saved so much time in the planning process. She also sent us a copy of her book and I read the entire thing. Such a great book of information and of course gorgeous photos. You can find it on Amazon! She has amazing engagement on all of her social media channels. Make sure to check out her YouTube page and watch all the videos. I also read all of her weekly blog posts which helped keep me calm. She also cares so much about getting to know you both as people. There are extensive surveys she asks you to fill out which are a good thing. In the next few months she will know all about your wonderful love story and your personalities. We were lucky enough to choose a package that included a engagement photoshoot as well. She even flew all the way up to San Francisco even though she is based in San Diego to take our engagement photos. It was so great to finally meet her in person even though it felt like we already knew her from connecting online. The day of our photoshoot was so windy in San Francisco and I was worried my hair would look bad in the photos. When we got the photos back (quick turnaround time might I add) they were amazing. I looked amazing also :) We decided to have her make a Guest Book for the wedding which was awesome. Instead of a typical guest book with blank pages she creates one that has questions that the guests have to answer. This made the guest book such a more interactive experience. The day of the wedding Cavin was a rockstar. She knows her stuff. I had zero worries the entire time she was there. She is great at capturing every single thing you would want during your special day and the things you would forget. Everyone followed her directions and she made sure no time was wasted! I received so many compliments from my family and guests about how they loved Cavin and were so impressed with the photos. The day flew by, I wish we had her stay longer!! She writes the best blog posts when she shares previews of your photos. I was so excited that while we were on our honeymoon she posted a blog post with wedding images for us to see! Absolutely stunning. I was and still am in love. Also I don't know how we got so lucky but we received all of our final wedding photos within a month timeframe. I have friends who have had to wait for months!! I am still not over the wedding bliss and staring at all the images. You probably won't be for awhile! Even though the wedding is over I still have reached out to Cavin several times about anything and everything. She truly feels like a friend. Once engaged I was determined to find the perfect photographer. My husband is very camera shy so I knew this was my only chance for professional photos. Cavin was not the first photographer I spoke with, but after our first phone conversation I felt so comfortable with her and was confident she was the right choice. My first opportunity to work with Cavin was our engagement session. I strongly encourage everyone to take engagement photos with their photographer; you will be so much more comfortable on your wedding day. Cavin was very professional and helped us feel more relaxed in front of the camera. We ended up with such gorgeous photos as well as affirmation that we had chosen an amazing photographer. Throughout the planning process Cavin was extremely organized and quick to respond. Excellent communication was really important to me since I planned my wedding from 2,000 miles away. I never felt out of the loop with Cavin because she regularly checked in and provided tips, questionnaires, and even a copy of her book! On our wedding day she arrived early with an amazing team and a smile on her face. Cavin was very easy to work with; my husband commented that she was very patient and kind to his rowdy friends. She made sure to capture any specific photos I requested, but Cavin’s talent really showed in the photos she could be more creative with. She knew exactly where to take the best photos and which poses would be the most flattering, I trusted her 100% and those pictures turned out to be some of my favorites. Working with Cavin was easily one of the best decisions made during wedding planning. She is so talented and exceeded all of my expectations from communication to the quality of the photos. Our photos turned out exceptional and captured our wedding day perfectly. We are so grateful for Cavin and her team! I cannot recommend Cavin enough, my only regret is not having Cavin shoot more of our wedding related events!

We are so glad and lucky that we had Cavin as our photographer. She was easily one of the best decisions we made. Immediately from the first phone conversation, I knew it was the perfect fit. You could tell she truly cared about getting to know us, making this a great experience, and just photography as a whole. Before the engagement shoot, she sent us a questionnaire about our relationship that helped us figure out the perfect places to take the pictures and was so responsive to my questions about locations, outfits and any other concerns! My fiancé was apprehension about doing engagement pictures (we are pretty private and he thought it would be uncomfortable) but after our session, he was blown away by Cavin (and even wanted to do more shots at the end). She makes you feel so relaxed, makes the shoot fun and you end up with the most BEAUTIFUL pictures. A few months out from the wedding, we unfortunately found out we needed to choose a new venue (much to our disappointment and Cavins as we both loved the place). Cavin was SO helpful on giving recommendations and her honest review of venues. And because Cavin took the time to figure out what was important to us, she helped me see that I could still have the vision we wanted in the new venue. When the wedding got closer, she sent out another questionnaire to make sure her and her team knew exactly what we wanted to capture on the day. This gave us so much comfort knowing that she had everything covered, as well as knowing that she would get the moments that we would want but just didn’t know yet. I couldn’t be more thankful for her on the wedding day. Cavin and her team were SO on top of things, stuck with the timeline and made everyone feel SO comfortable. Me and my husband had the absolute best time shooting our pictures with her. We truly fed off her enthusiasm, creativity and passion and it made it such a fun experience. And when we got the images, WOW, once again we were (and all of our family and friends) blown away. We honestly couldn’t have been happier. Seriously, Cavin was absolutely amazing and will definitely make sure you end up with your dream pictures. She’s fun, thoughtful, passionate, organized, responsive and just everything you would want in your wedding photographer!

When Brad and I were looking for a wedding photographer we wanted someone who was professional, knowledageable, relatable, flexible, easy to communicate with, funny and someone we could trust. However, we knew it was unlikely to find all of that in one person. We were wrong. From the moment we emailed Cavin it was obvious our hunt for a photographer was over. She has ALL of those qualities and MORE. Yes, I said more! She went out of her way to not only make me and Brad feel comfortable but also took care of my family as if they were her own. She took our engagement photos and was there on our wedding day. She made the engagement session fun, relaxed and gently gave us tips and tricks to use. As for our wedding day: WOW. I honestly did not need a wedding planner that day. She had everything under control. She prepared for plan A, B, and C. I remember after the wedding ceremony she had to think fast because her great eye for detail KNEW a bench would be a great addition to a larger photo. She calmly grabbed the bench, carried it over and put it in place. The amazing thing about Cavin is that she has studied hundreds of wedding photographers, read countless books on photography and constantly seeks inspiration from the best of the best. Why? Because she wants to give ALL her clients the absolute best experience and photos. Period. If you have a type A strict family she’s the perfect photographer; if you have a Type B family she’s the perfect photographer; if you have a Type C-Z family she’s the perfect photographer. Last but not least, one of my (and my family) favorite qualities about Cavin is how she is conscience small things like her facial expressions. Your wedding party and guests could be on time, attentive, take direction well, and cooperate; or your wedding party and guest could be the complete opposite. Cavin’s smile, calmness, and professionalism stay the exact same. It really makes all the difference. All our pictures turned out beautiful, I mean PERFECT. Cavin and her team did an absolutely amazing job capturing our wedding day! My husband and I were so pleased with the way Cavin captured our special day. She has an excellent eye for color and lighting. Cavin goes above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera. After looking at the pictures, we felt like movie stars!

We found Cavin while looking through instagram and instantly fell in love with her style of photography. We could clearly see all the details she included in every photo which to us really captured not only the moment but also the little things that one would tend to forget about. We booked Cavin for our engagement shoot, wedding day, and Korean/Persian ceremony events. She was so accommodating by driving from San Diego all the way to Orange County to shoot our engagement photos and Korean/Persian ceremony. She was truly able to capture all the special moments we had while at the same time, give us images that enable us to relive the moments she captured. Communication: Cavin kept in constant contact with us and was always quick to respond to emails regarding any questions we had. She also provided great informational items which helped us better prepare for the photos and not have to scramble around last minute for different things. This gave us plenty of confidence that she knew what she was doing and truly made for a stress free experience. Photos/Experience: We just can't stop looking at all the fantastic photos that Cavin and her team took. The photos came out even better than we had expected and really did match the style that we had seen on both her blog and on instagram. Working with Cavin was a dream!! One of the best decisions I made around my wedding was hiring her. I was drawn to Cavin by her reviews, brand, and blogs and she far exceeded my expectations. I was so impressed with how organized all of her processes were and how responsive she was (which both I learned were rare in the wedding industry). It felt so great, as a couple, to know how invested our photographer was in getting to know us as a couple and it really came out in our pictures. Before our wedding we did an engagement shoot (which was included in our package pricing) and I couldn't have been happier with our images. I also did a boudoir shoot with Cavin on the same day, she made me feel so comfortable the whole time and the images turned out BEAUTIFUL I was completely blown away. Cavin also helped coordinate my hair and makeup for the day which was a nice added bonus. At our wedding Cavin and her team were so efficient and on top of it, it made our wedding day a breeze. They showed up early and got right to work shooting detail photos while we finished getting ready. We chose to do a first look, which Cavin picked the perfect location for. We then did all of our photos before the ceremony which was smooth and effortless. We had provided a lot of information to Cavin before the wedding in the form of a survey and which made everything so efficient the day of. Cavin's passion and personality truly come out beautifully in her work. Her attention to detail and playfulness with color are spectacular. But for me, more importantly her ability to make you feel comfortable and sexy while being photographed is truly special. I would highly recommend booking Cavin and can't wait to work with her again in the future!

Cavin is AMAZING, I HIGHLY recommend her! She was by far, our favorite wedding vendor, and was honestly more than what we had hoped for in a wedding photographer. Cavin was very easy to work with - She was responsive, on time, transparent on her pricing, and when picture time came around, her easy-going nature and sweet disposition helped to put me and my husband at ease. She has a way of making you look your best in photos without making you feel like you're at a photoshoot. For the day of the wedding, she brought a team with her, and they were all top notch. All of them were kind, respectful, and got down to work. While I was getting my hair and makeup done, they laid out my gown, found a beautiful location to take photos of it in, and took care of it all, without having to get much direction from me. The entire experience was a breeze. The pictures turned out beautifully - Seriously, Cavin has a gift! We enjoyed our experience so much that we plan on using her for our family photos down the road. I recommended Cavin to my college roommate who was also getting married, and they loved her as well. I can't say enough good things about Cavin, and would give her more than 5 stars if I could!

I am so glad that we chose Cavin to photograph our wedding! She not only knows how to take beautiful photos, she is professional and efficient. If there were anything I would have changed it would be the lengthiness of the questionnaires we needed to fill out during the planning process but I understand why some of them are necessary. Can't say enough good things about Cavin. It's like... she just KNOWS the best shot, the best lighting... It's like she FEELS the image before it's even taken. Ugh... My wedding pictures? Perfect. And. I'm. Picky. I got the images back.... I cried. I felt EVERY emotion of that day captured in her beautiful work. And I'm not emotional. Like. At. All. SO...Cavin was amazing. She was professional, yet light. She smiled. She laughed at my jokes (bug win), yet she was to the point and gave great direction. No moment was wasted. Her team was seamless and efficient, yet almost invisible. Everyone was AMAZED at how quickly the family photos went (especially with how HUGE the family is!) Everything was... perfect. Cavin is great at arresting as well... getting a personalized blog for both our engagement & wedding sessions with Cavin's personal picks felt lavish. Her images were impeccable and the story behind them was personal and touching. I felt like celeb status with Cavin as our photographer, and if I were you I would look no further.

This review is about Cavin's customer service and communication. She is kind, considerate and extremely interested in getting to know her couples and connect with you. She goes out of her way to suggest additional vendors and to try and help make your wedding plans as easy as possible. Interacting with her really feels like you are talking to someone who cares about helping you optimize the entire day, beyond just wanting to capture beautiful photos for you. She is extremely resposive and organized and easy to talk to. Terrific personality all around!

Cavin was so great and we were so lucky to have her recommended to us. We had a small destination wedding so booking a photographer we had never met for our big day was stressful! She was everything we could have hoped for and more. Our whole wedding experience would not have been complete without Cavin. I thought it was very special that she really took the time to get to know us as a couple before the wedding. It really helped us feel more comfortable and act very natural in photos. I cannot express enough how exceptional Cavin Elizabeth is. From the very beginning she's gone out of her way to ensure our wedding photography experience has been flawless, effortless, and unique. I knew from the start of our wedding planning process that photography was at the top of my priority list. We wanted photos that were timeless, classy, with a modern flair. After sifting for at least two weeks on dozens of websites, a lot of the photos started to look the same. It wasn't until I came across hers that I found something different, and exactly what I was looking for. We scheduled a consultation and the rest is history. Meeting Cavin was so stress-free. I mean, it's pretty stressful committing to someone over a year in advance on something so important to your wedding day. She never made us feel pressured or obligated, she's so friendly and knowledgeable, we never doubted our decision choosing her as our photographer. During our engagement photos and on our wedding day Cavin made my husband and I feel so at ease, I think during our nine year relationship we have a handful of photos of us looking natural (we get so awkward in front of the camera), but the photos she took are perfect! Cavin has a gift of making us look our best, but not look too posed so we still look like ourselves. We also loved that she provides a wedding registry for guests to gift prints, additional hours/sessions, etc. Cavin is passionate, professional, she's pretty much a unicorn! Cavin was literally our dream photographer! Amazing photography was the most important thing to us going into the wedding so we chose carefully. Cavin's work was absolutely stunning! When we first met she was extremely professional and personable at the same time. Also, the quality of her wedding albums and other product was top notch so that was another huge draw. Cavin's willingness to do just about anything to get the perfect spot...all within safety is also a huge plus. Cavin was so organized through the whole process and always ready to answer our questions. She has several helpful questionaires and gets back to you right away. She helped chose the location of our engagement photos and it was perfect. She goes early and scouts at the location to get all the best shots. Our engagement photos were the best photos of me and my husband that I have ever owned in my entire life. SO happy to capture the moment forever. The photos were stunning and we literally got maybe a hundred compliments together on them from everyone. They were a huge point of conversation for months. Our engagement photos were so good we worried how could the wedding photos be any better, but of course they were. Cavin listened very carefully and executed specific family shots and location shots I wanted. She kept everything on time so we could get to the next part of the wedding and took all the photos we requested. It was wonderful I have amazing photos of our whole wedding for life and can't wait for my album. Cavin Elizabeth Photography provided the best wedding photography experience I could have asked for! From the beginning, Cavin was very friendly and made us feel very relaxed and comfortable. I could tell she would make my family and friends feel calm in her presence as well, which leads to the best pictures. My husband (fiance at the time) and I left our first consultation meeting whispering "should we tell her yes now or wait till we're home?" It was very helpful taking advantage of our free engagement photography session where we got to work with her before our big day to see how we all flow together. Our pictures turned out great and I loved her ideas. We went skateboarding on the PB boardwalk and went to Sunset Beach for some great sunset pictures. She will send you a couple questionnaires throughout the year where she gets to know you both as a couple, ideal photo shots you're looking for, and moments not to miss. This communication is really beneficial because she was able to make our ideal customized photo album after the wedding, which included all of our important moments. She also helped us with the day-of wedding schedule and gave me a reminder email the week of with a list of items not to forget. It was really helpful and took some stress out of the day. When Cavin arrived with her team the day of the wedding, she was very professional and efficient. The entire team was great and captured beautiful images. She has also had exceptional follow up and is very timely. I honestly have only great things to say about my experience with Cavin Photography. I highly recommend her and know you will be happy with your choice!

One of the most stressful things about wedding planning is picking a photographer. There are thousands to choose from and it can be very overwhelming trying to pick the best one. After weeks of searching and several meetings, we decided to go with Cavin Elizabeth Photography and it was the best decision we made. It is difficult to find someone with great talent and an even better work ethic, which is exactly what Cavin provides. From the very beginning, she gets to know you, your partner, and your relationship. She then takes all this information and transforms it into some of the most beautiful images. Cavin is AMAZING! Good photography was so important to me, and I'm really glad we found her because we got so much more. We really enjoyed working with Cavin. She listened and knew what was important to us. She asked all the right questions to provide us with the photos that would reflect our special day. Cavin was our photographer for our engagement shoot and wedding. I still say the best part of wedding planning was the engagement shoot :) She used longer lenses so I was able to just relax and have fun without even realizing we were capturing photos!! Cavin is a truly talented photographer and an absolute pleasure to work with. Her photographs are artistic, expressive and beautiful. She is creative and skilled at taking posed, candid, and close-up images. We hired Cavin to photograph my daughter’s wedding in San Diego. From the first time we met, I found Cavin to be very professional, personable, and easy to communicate with. The day of the wedding she photographed steadily for many hours, and in multiple locations, beginning early in the day with the getting ready shots and continuing all the way through to the party well into the night. Throughout, Cavin was calm, right on schedule, and had a lovely presence that made everyone feel at ease. She organized the many posed family and bridal party shots so smoothly, making it appear almost effortless to gather and direct the various groups of people. During the wedding ceremony she was so unobtrusive, I never even noticed her taking pictures, yet she got a tremendous number of marvelous photos. About a month after the wedding, she sent us hundreds of digital photos. We were all delighted with the outcome. As I watched the slide show from beginning to end, I felt as though I was at the wedding all over again. The bridal couple glowed. She captured their joy, their love, and the fun and excitement of the party around them. Cavin took many fabulous candid shots, catching wonderful expressions, and tender moments. She also focused in on the sentimental and decorative details. All the special elements, from the wedding rings, to the table settings and floral arrangements were beautifully photographed. Cavin is an extraordinarily talented, highly professional wedding photographer and I highly recommend her.

I really don't have the words to express how amazing Cavin is. Not only is she a super talented photographer, which in itself would be sufficient, nut she is sweet, compassionate, professional and organized. She was our engagement photographer, wedding photographer and Cavin and I held a secret boudoir shoot to surprise my husband to be the night before our wedding. I am the person who hates 90% of photos I'm in, but Cavin has a way of making sure you look your absolute best! She knows what poses are most flattering and she knows how to make the candid shots look great. It was always easy to get in touch with Cavin, she responded to emails in a very timely manner. I can tell you, I did not hire a few vendors who took too long to respond to emails/phone calls. As a bride to be, it gives you peace of mind knowing you can trust your wedding vendors to be professional, on time, organized and easy to get in touch with if you have any questions or concerns.
