The First Look
Located in Omaha, Nebraska just minutes from the Historic Old Market and in the up-and-coming Capitol District, CenturyLink Center Omaha is a premier location for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The convention center has an impressive overall size of over 346,000 square feet of convention center space, creating endless possibilities for weddings.
The Junior Ballroom. Situated on the second level, the Junior Ballroom boasts over 10,000 square feet of ballroom space, allowing seating for up to 500 guests. Over 10,000 square feet of versatile prefunction space and 9,000 square feet of terrace space complement the Junior Ballroom. Ambient lighting illuminates throughout the entire ballroom and prefunction area, creating an inviting atmosphere. The facility’s open and contemporary design allows for easy access to all areas.
What You Should Know
Levy Restaurants is the in-house, exclusive caterer at CenturyLink Center Omaha. Their creativity and flexibility enables them to customize a menu specific to your needs and requests.
Levy Restaurants does not supply wedding cake or mints, which allows you to work with any licensed and insured bakery you choose. Levy will provide a complimentary champagne toast for your wedding party.
The Junior Ballroom is rented on a food and beverage minimum. The minimum is determined by the number of sections of the Junior Ballroom needed for your event. The ballroom rental includes not only the Junior Ballroom, but also the prefunction space in front of the Junior Ballroom. The prefunction space can be used however you see fit and is perfect for a cocktail hour, chef’s tables, or for your guest book table. The food and beverage minimum can be achieved with your hors d’oeuvres, dinner, service charge and anything spent at the bar (including a cash bar). If you meet the food and beverage minimum, there will be no additional rental for the space. The rental space is contracted for the entire day, which allows you to come in first thing in the morning to set up for your celebration.
Your initial room setup is complimentary and includes tables, chairs, head table, cake table, gift table, etc. Also provided are white, black, or champagne 90" square table linens and colored napkins at no charge. Risers for the head table and one house microphone are also included.
A wooden dance floor is available for rent at an additional charge. The dance floor is rentable in 4’ x 4’ sections. The size of dance floor needed is dependent upon the number of guests and the amount of space you have selected.
The in-house audiovisual company, J & S Audio Visual, rents televisions, DVD players, screens, lighting, gobos, projectors, or any additional equipment to enhance your guest experience. You do have the option to bring in your own audiovisual company, DJ or band if you choose.
A glass-enclosed skywalk links the convention center to the 600-room AAA Four Diamond Hilton Omaha with an additional 15 meeting rooms, creating a convenient enhancement to the convention facilities. Set to open in 2017, a new $205 million project in downtown Omaha will include a new full-service, 14-story, 333-room Marriott hotel directly across from CenturyLink Center Omaha. More than 3,000 hotel rooms, representing a variety of national chains, are available within a three-mile radius.
The Old Market entertainment and shopping district, which offers a flavor of the old and new and touts many storefronts and restaurants housed in renovated warehouse buildings, is within walking distance of the convention center.

We truly could not have asked for anything more. Everyone involved with our wedding reception did an exceptional job from beginning to end. The staff at CenturyLink Center Omaha was very organized and made sure every little detail was complete. The food and service were outstanding – all of our guests had nothing but positive comments. In fact, we are still receiving compliments on the food! We chose to use the in-house audio visual provider and appreciated their creativity and flexibility. The up-lighting was beautiful and gave the ballroom an extra special ambiance. We chose to rent multiple screens for our wedding video and the Big Ten Championship football game that was being played that night. The screens were in a perfect location and our guests loved having the option to watch the Huskers on the big screen. I honestly was a little apprehensive about our guests parking downtown but knowing that our guests were guaranteed a parking spot in a safe and close location made parking a non-issue. The convenience of the downtown hotels and their shuttle service was an added bonus. The best thing about holding our wedding reception at CenturyLink Center Omaha was that we felt the staff truly cared about us and our big day. We definitely were the stars of the evening at CenturyLink Center Omaha.
Our wedding reception took place on September 4th, 2015 at the CenturyLink Convention Center. After months of researching venues, comparing prices, menus, facilities, etc., we pulled the trigger on the CenturyLink. I can't even begin to tell you what a good decision we made. The staff, mainly Felicity and Lindsay, were in constant communication with us (since we live in Los Angeles) and were probably irritated as could be with our endless supply of questions, but never once appeared less than friendly and professional. The venue was perfect. Our guests loved the convenience of the Hilton skywalk and stayed partying for quite a while after my wife and I made our exit. They let us set up a Hollywood style "Step and Repeat" outside the ballroom that our guests loved. Charlie was in charge of the A/V and did a fantastic job. The only real negative was that we went over our estimated liquor tab. They need to do a better job of making sure it is clear what the consumption will be. Going over by a couple thousand dollars is not ideal. Overall I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for class and professionalism for their wedding ceremony. Thank you.

Great place to have a large wedding - we had 250 guests and plenty of room. The set up was great and our event coordinator was very easy to work with.
