Catherine was a joy to work with! We met with her and she guided us through building our ceremony using a super helpful outline. We also had a blessing we wanted to incorporate that she worked in for us from scratch. We and our guests loved her and several asked us for her contact information after! She was warm, welcoming, and the perfect fit for our day—we couldn’t recommend her enough!

Catherine was absolutely incredible to work with! She was super quick to respond to any questions we had, and I loved her process for how to do our ceremony. She had beautiful options to choose from and so many guests said it was one of the most amazing ceremonies they’d ever seen. She is so kind and spoke very eloquently. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking!

We were incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Thayer as our wedding officiant. From the very first meeting, it was clear that we were in the hands of someone who genuinely cared about making our ceremony perfect for us. She was kind, warm, and brought a wonderful sense of humor to the process, which helped ease any nerves and made the whole experience so enjoyable.
One thing I greatly appreciated was her patience and understanding, especially considering that I can be a bit of a control freak. She didn’t just tolerate my need to have every detail just right—she embraced it with grace and good humor. She listened carefully to all our preferences and quirks, offering thoughtful suggestions while also making sure our voices were heard.
We couldn’t have asked for a better person to help us say “I do.”

We just got married May 20th 2023 and what a beautiful ceremony Reverend Catherine Thayer performed. She gave us everything we needed to create a ceremony to remember forever. We had our own personal ceremony that came from our hearts to each other. Our wedding guests continue to share how beautiful our ceremony was and they’ve never attended a ceremony as special as ours and how they felt the love we have for each other in the words that were said. Our guests keep saying how special it was and a ceremony they will never forget. All I can say we were so blessed on this day to have Reverend Catherine to officiate for us. This day will be forever in our hearts.

Dr. Thayer was an absolute pleasure to work with! My (now) husband and I knew nothing about how a wedding ceremony is supposed to be and Dr. Thayer was very knowledgeable and helpful in the entire planning process. She provided us an outline with many different options to make the ceremony truly ours. She is professional, well spoken, and kind. Communication was easy as she was very quick to respond to all our questions either via email or phone. We couldn’t have made a better choice than Ceremonies from the Heart and we’re very thankful she chose us too! Highly recommend to anybody looking to get married.

My review for Catherine is a little different, because she did not officiate a wedding for us. She was the reverend for my mother's funeral. She was recommended by the funeral home, as I did not want a traditional church service for my mom. I honestly could not have asked for anyone better. She was compassionate, and her words really hit home to everyone. Catherine is a real pro and her experience with ceremony is exactly what is needed, whether it is a wedding or funeral. I could not recommend Catherine enough. She was incredibly nice and welcoming. We didn’t know exactly what we wanted but she broke everything down to make it super easy for us to plan. Dr. Thayer was absolutely amazing, she really made my ceremony feel like she was part of the family, between the personalize vows, cracking jokes just everything. She lets you pick and choose readings to fit your day and your style which I really appreciate it because there’s a lot of “traditional” stuff I wanted to left out. Definitely highly recommend!

Well to say that Dr. Thayer nailed it, is an understatement. With only speaking to us a few times, she was able to write a ceremony that was so completely us, our friends and family thought she had known us as a couple forever. She took the time to research our nerdy fandoms, mention family members that could only be there in spirit, and even did an “epilogue” where my stepson was included. It made for such a special day. Everyone laughed, some cried, all were thoroughly impressed with Dr. Thayer. I CAN NOT recommend highly enough. Way more than 5 stars! Thank you so much Dr. Thayer for making our ceremony perfect! (and for yelling at the noisy guest that were disturbing us!)

Working with Catherine from the beginning was a breeze. Our first meeting with her she asked a lot of questions about us and got to know us. We really liked how the ceremony was customizable to us. Her pricing was reasonable and she was punctual. She also helped calm down the nerves.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Thayer. Even during a pandemic she communicated great, and was extremely helpful. All my guests spoke so highly of her and we absolutely loved our ceremony. I would suggest ceremonies from the heart to any couple looking for an officiant for their future wedding day.

Dr. Catherine Thayer was wonderful!! Throughout the ceremony, and when we watched the video, it felt and appears as if she had known us for years. She sent an outline and we selected different options and added a few of our touches and it was perfect. She was very professional and such a pleasure to work with. She came highly recommended and after starting a dialogue she walked us through the whole process; from the wedding license to personalizing the ceremony to include my wife's daughter. Surprisingly, finding an officiant was one of the easiest tasks to do for the wedding. We received some referrals from our venue, but despite their amazing reviews, their prices were way out of our budget. We found Dr. Thayer through this site and after contacting her about services and our budget, she was more than happy and willing to give us a personalized ceremony experience for our budget! Since we were out of state from where we were getting married, we did all of our communications through email, which Dr. Thayer was amazing about. She was always quick to respond to all of our random and minor questions with thorough advice. She was extremely helpful throughout the whole wedding process! And even though we did not get to physically meet before the ceremony due to distance and our limited schedule, she made the ceremony feel as though we have known her for years!
Dr. Catherine thayer allowed us to personalize our ceremony and “make the script” as much as we wanted to. She added some things during the ceremony to make us more relaxed and even involved the guests! We both were extremely happy with her services and how easy she made the ceremony and licensing/certificate process!
100% recommend Dr. Catherine Thayer from Ceremonies From the Heart for all of the knowledge she has and how helpful and kind she was throughout the process!

This was one of the most important moments of our lives and Dr. Catherine Thayer was a delight to work with.
She was prepared, walked us through the process prior to our beautiful ceremony, and more importantly immediately submitted all of the documentation to the count clerks office on her own.
The preparation for the ceremony was immaculate. We drafted what was to be stated a long with her wonderful suggestions, and everything worked out perfectly.
I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Thayer!

Catherine did a fantastic job officiating our wedding. Since we weren't sure what we wanted said, it was nice that she had a template document that we could read and modify whatever we wanted. This way, she said what was important to us, and our families and friends commented on how much they loved the ceremony words. As an officiant, Catherine speaks very well and makes your ceremony what you want it to be.

Catherine did an excellent job officiating our wedding! As a long distance bride, Catherine was quick to respond to emails and help us plan out our perfect ceremony. She took the stress out of the whole ceremony process. Although we only spoke on the phone a few times before meeting in person, we felt like she was someone we knew our whole life. She has a calming presence that helped make the ceremony stress free! Could not recommend her enough!

Besides out officiant showing up 30 minutes late, the ceremony was quick. Our officiant had discussed doing a blessing for dinner, but after our wedding quickly left. Although our ceremony went well and quick like we wanted it, her lateness pushed back our timeline. She told us to kiss 3x after she pronounced us because she said we did not do it, even though we did do it. I think she was a little flighty, but all in all we had a decent experience.

review. All of my reviews have been stellar up until now and I feel that a response is necessary to this one. There was a miscommunication about time and I apologized numerous times for the 20 minute delay not 30. I believe the additional 10 minutes was the bridal parties gathering and going out to the ceremony site. To say that you think I am flighty is unnecessary and untrue and only an opinion with which I strongly disagree, as do my other wedding couples. I would also like to address the blessing at dinner. I was never requested to do that. Had it been planned ahead I certainly would’ve stayed albite for an additional fee which we never discussed either. However I did take the time to speak to the DJ and other people there to make sure the blessing was covered for you. I just thought that I should state my case because obviously you can post anything you like. I just hope you will reconsider. Thank you congratulations once again Catherine

She provided thoughtful sample writings for the ceremony and for our vows that informed us that we were like-minded, which gave us comfort that we were choosing the right officiant. Dr. Catherine Thayer was amazing! My husband and I aren't super religious so she made our wedding fit to our needs. She also incorporated our 1 year old son into the service as well.

She not only traveled (hundreds of miles) to be with us on our special day, endured a tropical storm and was right by our side adapting and engaging in the the different cultures and languages of our guests and family at our wedding.
