ands’ family. We talked with Class Act and made some unique things for the ceremony, dinner and reception. My ceremony had unique music not normally found at your typical ceremony, but would identify with who we are. Instead of a flower girl we had a Flower Man and he was hilarious. During dinner Cass act released tables and entertained the guests waiting to go through the buffet line. They organized some other fun games that the guests really got into. There was a difficult issue, how to get the guests into the room where the dance was to be held in an expeditious manner. What they did was to designate a Party Animal at each table. Then the part animal at each table got everyone at the table to stand up and follow them into the dance room. It worked perfect and we could go right into the first dance seamlessly. We did so many fun things during the night. We did battle of the sex’s auctioning of the garter everyone loved it and we made a ton of money. They coordinated the caterers, venue staff, videographer and photographer throughout the night. It was a lots of fun. Myrdette and Max

. The governor of Minnesota was shutting down all large group gatherings, sports events, closing down dine in restaurants, movie theaters, church gatherings, and catering weddings etc. We were also concerned that this might be rolling over into the government processing issues. So we called Class Act on Saturday and they were there the next day at our home performing a nice simple immediate family only (7 people) wedding. They were so responsive and helped us put some final touches on our ceremony to make it exactly as we wanted. We feel relieved that we do not have any possibilities of us not being legally married. It will give us some peace of mind as we look forward to the big party this fall. Class Act is here when you need them. Thanks so much! Peter and Dascha

d on awesome reviews that we read. We were not disappointed! Mike’s experience, organization, and personality made this process seamless for us. He had many, many wonderful ideas as well as insight from previous weddings he has done. This meant so much to me as I didn’t really know what I was doing! Although we had a fabulous experience with DJ services we received from Mike and his partner, the thing that meant the most to me was when we ended up without an officiant 7 days before the wedding — Mike stepped up, no questions asked, and helped plan a beautiful ceremony for us and officiated it! I would recommend this company to any one looking for a knowledgeable, fun, energetic DJ service that will keep the crowd going all night long — look no further!!!! Thank you so much for everything!

ked to Class Act, we felt like we were in the right place. It was clear that they had knowledge and extensive experience in the field. As things got closer to the wedding date, they gave us numerous options and insight so that we could plan an event that went off without a hitch. We really liked the idea of having our Officiant and DJ from the same company as it fit our vision and it made the planning process very efficient. Having Class Act provide the Wedding Officiant with a DJ and sound system to make the ceremony run quite smoothly. It was beautiful and met our needs relative to religion and spirituality. One of the aspects that we most appreciated was that Class Act worked with all the other vendors, including the photographer, venue support staff, and catering staff. Dinner was quite eventful and entertaining with Class Act keeping the guests engaged in a game of love songs. They also did an amazing job of getting guests on the dancefloor. We really enjoyed working with Class Act, as their coordination with the entire team of vendors added to our fantastic wedding celebration. Macy and Nick

wedding at a barn style venue so we could get married at the same place as the reception. Class act actually brought a second system for the ceremony so that the larger system for the dance could be set up and not have any down time by having to move equipment. We planned a fun day out with their party planner before the event so we got to have input and they added expertise to make it even more fun than we would have thought of. We had a riot during the dinner with lots of fun stuff. We even did this kissing game most of our guests had never seen. Many times we have gone to a weddings and let’s face it, it is usually a bit boring during dinner. With Class Act it was so much fun. The dance was almost a blur. People were dancing so much the night just flew away. Our guests were parting so hard that by the end of the night people were just tired out and they were partied out. Now that is the mark of a great night where they are too tired to party anymore. That is the mark of a great party. Brittney and Tony

ou know that we have been thinking about a life together for some time. We have so many friends and guess what they are all either married or getting married. Sometimes it seems that a good share of the parties we go to are weddings. What that makes us is well educated on what we wanted and what we did not want. Sorry to say some of the DJs were not impressive. Class Act was great but we knew they would be because we had seen them a number of times before. So early on in our planning process we made sure that they could be there for us. So we like to be thorough when planning. Class Act was available via text, email and phone calls. It was great to be able to utilize all the knowledge that they have to help with the whole day timeline and schedule. We wanted the day to be fun and provide as much opportunity to make great memories as possible. Our venue was so beautiful and amazing. The one thing that was a little odd was that we had dinner on the main floor and the dance was upstairs. So Class Act did something brilliant. At each table they did a game and designated one person to be the table party animal. The table party animal was then instructed to get everyone on the table to stand and head upstairs. In the matter of just a few short minutes every single person was in the dance area for our first dance for the two of us, it was kind of magical. Here is something amazing they stayed up there the rest of the night. The people at the venue had never seen anyone make that happen so quickly and smoothly. They were great showmen and got people to easily follow whatever they wanted them to do. The dance was so much fun. Thank you, you all are truly a CLASS ACT! Luke and Karina

time. He played a lot of the songs I wanted to hear. I only wish he would have taken the requests from my wedding party-he did not play anything they wanted to hear. I'm sure he was just trying to stick to the list I gave him its just that he said he would take requests and he did not follow through on that. He did play great music that everyone could dance to its just that my wedding party was not happy with him and didn't let me know until after the fact. I wanted them to have a great time since they had to pay to be in my wedding and take time off of work, etc. I am rating Class Act DJ's 4 stars still because we are mostly satisfied with the service overall and my guests all say they had a great time at the reception.

Excellent Ceremony, Reception and Dance! My finance’ had seen Class act at another family wedding, but it was before my time. He talked very highly about how much fun they were, but I still needed to be convinced. So we talked to them and then ...
interviewed them and then it was very easy to decide that they were the right people for us. One of the things they let us know right off the bat was that they were working for us and even though other family members might have some ideas they would give us the final say in all matters relative to our big day. So we started out with their wedding officiant and DJ for an outdoor wedding. We wanted short, sweet and simple while having some amount of levity and romance and they delivered. The ceremony we just right. We then progressed to our social hour and dinner. Class Act moved the sound system they used for the ceremony in the outdoor dining area while keeping the larger system set up inside with the bar and dance area. The announcements came over both systems so that everyone could be part of the experience. At the diner we did some kissing games where the guests needed to entertain us and we judged their performance with the kiss. Everyone was laughing the whole time. They released tables and escorted the guests to the indoor buffet table. I cannot remember all the fun things that went on during dinner, but my guests really embraced the experience. Once the dinner was all done Class Act had the guests make two lines and we walked between them from the outside dinner tables to the dance floor then they all flowed in to watch us. We felt so special and supported. It was also brilliant because it got all the people into the dance area and the dance took off like a flash. So we danced all night it was and amazing time. Too bad I only get to do this once. Maybe we will have to have an Anniversary party. Olivia and Sam

These guys are the best Here is the crazy thing. We actually saw Class Act years before and the couple that had Class Act has become friends with them. We also found out the Class Act had done another couples wedding that is dear to us also. So...
we love the North Shore of Lake Superior and we decided having a ceremony overlooking the lake which would very romantic. So what is great with Class Act is that we could use them to plan and perform the Ceremony and the dinner dance. We did a light religious ceremony. It worked out really well because we have some very religious relatives that needed that element to be part of the wedding. The religious part was not as high a priority for us. What we ended up planning with Class Act was perfect. Here is the kind of amazing part. When the officiant started and made some comments about asking God’s Blessing we got a shorted little amount of drops on us. The timing could not have been better, then the officiant took the opportunity to say “I guess God is sprinkling some Holy water up us”. That little spot if levity helping relax so many of us. Our MC/Party Coordinator must have put on a few miles that night. So he was in charge of keeping everything flowing smoothly. He did a wonderful job but people gave him a challenge. So we had several smokers that they needed to be in a certain out door area for that. We had a beautiful view and many people would be outside. A couple of groomsmen would be sliding off and be missing for some time when they were needed for various activities. One of my guests stopped him and mentioned he was doing a great job but it must be like “herding cats” If we would not have had the Class Act guys there I am sure things would have been chaotic. During dinner we did a cute little game to determine which table would go to dinner first. They had us do the Newly Wed Game, good stuff. We had so much fun for the dance I booked them for and extra hour at the end of the night. Nicole and Tony

n. So once we decided to do it the choice of entertainment was easy. We wanted Class Act because they always make it fun from the minute guests arrive until they drag their feet out the door as they leave. Class Act did some fun things with our guests relative to some trivia from when we got married and special moments in our lives. The guests also tested us with a different game to see how much we would agree on things. These were all things that Class Act suggested to us. We also had a group participant event where they needed to do something to get us to kiss. They helped coordinate a video and toasts then off to the dancing. Class Act did a nice job mixing classics and contemporary music so all our guest were happy. They even stopped by all the tables and took requests. They had us doing some old 60’s line dances then moved into some contemporary line dances also. It was a great night with a lot of wonderful memories and Class Act helped orchestrate that. Even the venue was impressed and they normally use just one company. We insisted we wanted Class Act and they were really impressed. I am pretty sure their management will be recommending Class Act to their clients Pat and Gene

o have a discussion than just lob messages back and forth. They actually took the time to call and give me so much information and things to think about that I have not considered. The conversation was great it was informational and no pressure at all. In fact, they even said to me that “any company that puts pressure or special discounts for making a quick decision I should run from”. I definitely got the message that they were so much more interested in finding out about me and my wishes than just booking another show. Here is something else I loved. I told them that I was a type “A” personality. Most people get concerned by that, not Class Act, they loved it. They told me that the type “A” personality was one of their favorite type of brides because if they are good at their job that I would appreciate it. Guess what I really appreciated Class Act. Their people established a good rapport with us. We planned a beautiful wedding ceremony, the officiant was great, funny and serious all at the same time. The ceremony music was spot on and it was perfect. They helped coordinate pictures for dinner, released tables with a really fun game, brought equipment for a video my dad did, did some trivia game with the guests about the two of us and more. When it came to the dance we did not want it to end we even had them stay and extra half hour. I can honestly tell you that for us, we have never been to a more fun wedding and this goes for most of my friends. Too bad I am only getting married once… maybe and anniversary party. I am sure I will see them again at a future event. Liz and Ryan

that really showed. Class Act does so much more than the typical DJ Company. First of all it was great talking to them and planning out the whole day, ceremony, dinner and dance. When it got closer to the event we had a special friend, we wanted to have do the ceremony instead of using their officiant, which we did not know, it was kind of a last minute thing. Class Act made arrangements to follow our wishes and accommodate the new officiant that knew us really well. They even included some extras that would make the event extra special. Not at our request, they just did it to be supportive and they truly wanted us to have everything perfect. So we had the ceremony at a separate location with people there from Class Act and others at the reception hall, taking care of the reception. All of that coordination was taken care of for us and it went off perfectly. Class Act had our guests involved, engaged and laughing from dinner to the end of the night. Both the guests that are the “watchers” and the ones that are the “participators” were all having a great time. People were on the dance floor continuously. Their MC/Party Coordinator actually got drinks for the head table. I am pretty sure both people that were there never sat down the whole time we were there. I highly recommend Class Act if you want a smooth running ceremony and reception with your guest’s total engaged throughout the night. All my guests and my family were blown away from Class Act. They all said it was the most fun wedding they had attended, largely in part from Class Act’s amazing work. Taylor and Brice

8 ball booking a DJ. Class Act had been to our venue (caves) many times & knew the complexity & intricacies which made it run a lot smoother. Our bar/social area was in a separate room than the dining/dance floor, but Class Act had that all figured out! They brought a remote wireless sound system that ran off their main system to make everyone feel included. That is a huge deal! Also, Class Act moved dining tables from the dance floor in a matter of a minute after the toasts so we could have a smooth transition into the dance. The venue & catering company were great, but they were busy clearing tables & finalizing dinner events. Class Act kept the night in motion without a delay, which was a high priority for us. The dance was a lot of fun! We had a diversified group of people with many different age groups. Class Act switched up the music about every 15 minutes so everyone was able to dance to their favorites. ion. After talking to the people at Class Act they grasped what we were looking for quickly and made suggestions to expand on our ideas. It was good that we had a contingency plan in the event of rain. You see our venue has a beautiful gazebo for ceremonies just outside of the reception hall. Class Act was very convincing on making sure we had our plan “B” thought through. Guess what it was cold and raining on the day of my wedding. We had to resort to plan “B”. It did not really bother me because we did not have to panic it was part of the plan. Class Act and the venue made some adjustments and we were good to go. Our dinner was so much fun with Class Act organizing everything and releasing tables, getting the guests involved in various activities the dinner flew by. We had a lot of fun at the dance a lot of the young people were there but we also had a number of the older relatives hanging in there much later than I would have expected. What a great time. with so many things which kept them busy and they entertained us with the fun games. With things like Conga Lines dances, Mr. Happy Face contest, Hokey Pokey game, Limbo contest, Chicken dance, Circle dance and contemporary lines dances like the cupid shuffle and more. So what they would do is do some dance sets for the adults, and of course the kids were out the also. Then when the adults need to break, get the kid games going. All of the parents loved it. I did not think it was possible but my grandkids were wiped out at the end of the might. It really takes skill to keep the guests 3 to 70 engaged and have fun. Thanks Class Act Grandma Peggy

I love these guys! What a bunch of nice and knowledgeable people. It all started out with us asking a friend to go online and get ordained and do our wedding. So he did. So we found out that he also needed to be registered with the State of Min...
nesota to be legal. We found this out because a friend did something similar but they did not do that and it caused issues and headaches. She also told us that because they did not have experience in how to do a ceremony in retrospect it could have been done better. So we looked at each other with our friend and realized that we might have gotten in over our heads. We found Class Act and they were willing to do mentoring of our friend as a wedding officiant. When we all got together our friend that was going to do the ceremony got a bit nervous realizing we wanted more than just a story of how we met and fell in love. Here was our solution: Class Act did the ceremony with our friend as an Associate Officiant. It was great! Class Act’s officiant took care of all the structure, pageantry and coordination and it still allowed us to have a connection with our dear friend. Class Act also provided the DJ’s and sound system for the ceremony so the flow and precise timing of music was perfect. The day of the ceremony was just the start for these people. They coordinated our vendors to make the day very harmonious. Days after the event when I called to thank them again to tell them everything went so smoothly and I suggested that they probably had a pretty easy evening, they told me all the things that had to get adjusted between my photographer, videographer, food issues, and some guest issues. I was oblivious to all these things and so were my guests. For that I am thankful. Their MC/Party coordinator had us laughing and people were engaged throughout dinner. The dance floor was packed all night long with various group participant events. Early on in the night they had a person stop by every table and get requests. They showed me the list. It was huge. They told me they could not play that many songs but it gives them an idea of the most popular genres for the group. Oh, did I tell you that at the end of dinner the kids were running all over the place yelling and being kids. Their DJ assembled them on the dance floor and did some kids games. It was entertaining for everyone. One of my bridesmaids asked if they could just do that every half hour so they can keep them busy. The ceremony was great, the social hour was great, dinner was great, the dance was great, these people are great.

We had Class Act perform at one of our other daughter's weddings 6 years ago. They did a great job and we knew we had to contact them when our other daughter set the date for her wedding. My daughter was trusting me to get the DJ lined up so I ...
knew Class Act was the right choice. They sent out a team of two who not only entertain the group but also help organize the event. The day of the wedding there were several things that needed to be adjusted due to circumstances. We had a video we needed played and when we found out how much the venue was going to charge I contacted Mike at Class Act. He came through with a projector and screen and saved us a chunk of money. My wife spent an enormous amount of time making the video but could not get it to work, Class Act came to the rescue and took care of it at no charge. Everything went off without a hitch. ved. I first saw Class Act when I was young and then several times after. In fact, one of my best friends had me in her wedding and also had Class Act. Time and again Class Act demonstrated how fantastic they have been over the years. Since many of my guests had also seen Class Act before I wanted my reception to be different and special. Class Act really came through for me. First off we did a kissing game that got the whole crowd involved, everyone was laughing hysterically (by the way we still won even though we had some very competitive relatives). We also did the newlywed game and got advice from the oldest married couples during dinner. Priceless. The people at Class Act coordinated the whole reception. They confirmed the program and needs of my vendors as soon as they got there. They made sure the picture of cutting of the cake was done before dinner so the catering staff could cut it up during the buffet dinner and be ready for when dinner was done. They made a quick seating change so that no table had to be removed for the dance. Otherwise my parents, grandparents, and handicap Aunt would have lost their table which would have been most unfortunate. If I would have hired a typical DJ none of these things would have been taken care of. Class Act was very in- tune with the newly married couple's needs in all the chaos of the night. Oh my gosh, the dance. There was a lot of group participation events which our group loved. I had relatives that have a hard time walking, or never participate, out on the dance floor. Many of them were there after 11:00pm. Crazy. We had so many complements that night and the next day. Alex & Michelle

I cried tears of joy at how wonderful our whole day went. My step-mother had worked with Class Act on several occasions in the past on food drives and corporate events. She also saw them in weddings years ago. She suggested I look into them. I ...
was not sure they would be right for me until I looked into Class Act and found out that they have done over 8,000 local weddings. When I did my due diligence I found out that they were probably the premier wedding DJ Company in the area and offered more than other companies. So I called them in a matter of a few minutes I started feeling comfortable that these people would do a really great job for me. I talked to one person the whole time that was in charge of my event. I needed a lot of guidance because I had seen a lot of things over the years I liked and probably just as many things I did not like at other weddings. Class Act helped me plan the ceremony, social hour, dinner and dance guest activities. They came early and set up a system for the ceremony and for the dinner dance they had a larger cooler system. It was all done so that as guests moved from one area to the other music was seamless. They coordinated the ceremony as we had planned and their officiant had the guests laughing before the service started which put everyone at ease. They even did small things like suggesting to my dad have a tissue in his pocket in case I needed one as I walk down the aisle. Only experienced people think of those kinds of things. The dinner was fun we all laughed a lot because Class Act leads us in interacting with each other at the tables. The whole room laughed allot. Our caterers were great and worked well with Class act coordinating dinner. The dance was amazing, people were commenting to me all night long how much fun Class Act was. Also, later on in the night a bunch of my friends nominated guys of their choice, to do a Macho Man contest. My husband won that, and I won the limbo contest!! These things just seemed to fit with our crowd. Everyone raved about how fun, and how involved they felt, during all of the surprise games Class Act had for them. The guys at Class Act said they don’t always do them, but they could tell it would be perfect for my group. We are forever grateful to Class Act Inc for making our entire event, memorable, personal, and unforgettable!! Brianna and Louis

We talked to the party planner and planned the whole ceremony and reception in one meeting. It was so nice to know that there would be continuity at the event. The person that planned the event was actually at the event coordinating the activities. So we planned the ceremony, dinner and dance. Class Act provided the Wedding Officiant with DJ and PA system for our outdoor wedding and a larger system was set up inside for the dinner and dance. Class Act kept the guests engaged and we all laughed a lot during dinner it was so much fun. The two guys from Class Act were amazing. They kept the party going all night. There were always people on the dance floor. They were great to work with and had an idea for everything. They aren't your typical DJ Company, they don't work off of a computer and just stand behind the booth the whole time, the MC goes around the room talking to everyone and the DJ will come out lead dances at times. When we first started looking for the entertainment we knew that our event would be a little more challenging than the typical wedding. You see our parents had been married over 50 years but they really never had a wedding reception and it was ...
time for that to happen. My parents have so many friends and relatives we knew that there was going to be an older contingency of guests than typical. Our venue actually recommended Class Act to us. They told us that Class Act has been playing at their venue for decades and they are the most attentive, interactive and pleasant people to work with. I took that to heart when the venue told me that on a given night they can do up to 5 events. So I figured they see everybody and if Class Act stands out for them they must be pretty awesome. Boy were they right. They helped us with the renewing of the vows, suggested a family bouquet which was perfect. Coordinated the dinner/dance and kept our guests laughing all night long. We had to end the night early because they just tired us out. They really made it so that I could enjoy the event because they coordinated everything that night. Heather

first calls. It was interesting because they asked us to sit through a five minute short conference mentioning how important it is to make sure that we were getting what we really want and just because other family members had used us they should not feel pressured go with Class Act. Now I really appreciate the fact that they are more concerned about us than the almighty dollar. It was wonderful working with people of great integrity and a true concern for us. We planned out a fun time during dinner and the dance floor was filled all night long. You know they do something that I have never seen any other DJ do they actually stop by each table and take requests and it was so funny because we saw people debating the best songs to play. I guess when you have a team of people there for the event you have the resources to do that. Oh, and have you ever been to a dance and requested a song at the beginning of the night and never hear yours played. Class Act announces that requests are played in the order received that fit with the program that the Bride and Groom have set up. I know people have been frustrated at other weddings when they wanted to get a song and only to be trumped by a cute tipsy girl toward the end of the night. These guys go out of their way to make all happy. I only have one regret and that everyone in our family is married now and we may not see them as much. I guess I am going to have to lean on my unmarried friends for that. If I have anything to say about it, I will encourage them to get Class Act. Beth and Nathan

ion at a venue. The ceremony in the park was a good idea until the rain was crazy and a heavy down poor. When the officiant and audio technician showed up they when right to work to evaluate the situation and cam e up with some options. The one we liked was switching the more traditional ceremony to a circle ceremony. It was wonderful. All of our guests huddled together under the small shelter in a circle when my father and I were to join them the circle opened to allow us in and in the center was the officiant with my fiancé, the wedding party outside of them, and our parents behind them. We did not use amplification we did natural. It was so moving for all the people there. Now this is the amazing part, as soon as we were pronounced man and wife the rain stopped. Now that is a ceremony none of my guests will ever forget. Ok them the people at Class Act rushed over to the venue to get everything set up for the dinner and dance. Right away they took over organizing the vendor there and coordinating them. We had issues with our photographer not catching many photo opportunities when we were talking to the people at Class Act (even though they were not supplied by Class Act). What do they do; they offer to mentor the photographer as to the possible photo opportunities. We noticed that we were getting more pictures and the photographer seamed to even be getting in to it more. Next we forgot to get a throwing bouquet or it was missing in action, still not quite clear on that one. What does Cass Act do? They grab a few flowers form each of the center pieces and made me one. All these things made our night so much better than if we would have had the typical DJ. You can bet that they would not have cared about all these details that were stressing me out or even knew what to do. Oh, did I mention I hired them for the dance. worked with the venue and the caterers to make some adjustments to the layout of the room. There was no room for the Bar, The DJ and we were going to have to take down the head table for the dance. They figured out how to keep the same look and have access to the bar and DJ and we did not have to take down the head table which had some beautiful decorations on it. I do not think the typical DJ would have been able to do that. They also provided head table Uplighting which put a beautiful accent on the decorations we had in that area. They had us dedicate a song to everyone there from the two of us to start the dance. This was brilliant because everyone got up on the dance floor, on the carpet and in the isles. What a way to honor our guests but it also got people going. Our guests were having so much fun during dinner as they lead us through so many fun things. We danced a ton and made a bunch of great memories.

Class Act came recommended to us from a friend who worked in the wedding industry. From my first conversation with them, I really got the sense that they knew what they were doing. As someone who had never been in or planned a wedding, putting ...
together seemed very daunting. They were really great about walking us through the whole process. I felt like we could customize the ceremony as much as we wanted, but they also had a good standard ceremony in place if we didn't have ideas. Our meeting ended up lasting 2+ hours because of all of our questions, but they were so patient making sure every detail was covered. Few things to be aware of: They do not include the rehearsal as part of the standard officiant package. Since neither of us had really any experience with being in a wedding, we chose to pay for our officiant to attend the rehearsal. We are so happy we did because he walked us through everything a few times. I felt a lot more calm after the rehearsal knowing that everyone knew exactly what to do. Also, the ceremony ended up being very short. We did not mind this (and many guests actually complemented us on it), however if you are looking for a 30 minute ceremony, you will need to add a lot of stuff on top of their traditional ceremony. Neither of these things were bothersome enough to dock a star, but something to consider when comparing officiants. Overall, we were very happy with our officiant. I thought they did a great job and our ceremony went about as smooth as possible.

I am so appreciative that you had us at your ceremony. Last year only one other bride requested a rehearsal of all the weddings we did. So we do not build in the cost of a rehearsal (it is actually a line item on the agreement) in our ceremony ...
pricing. We provide at no charge a PDF document of the rehearsal for each ceremony. Brides love this because they can forward it to all the people in their wedding party. So the day of the even when one of the groomsmen say "so how does this work" they can pull it up on their phone and there you go he is up to speed. As you know we like to be certain of every detail thus the long meeting where we developed the ceremony, which you selected and to be sure it was perfect. Now some brides like the officiant at the rehearsal so we offer that when it is preferred and as you now we were happy to do it. We laughed alot and all had a great time at the rehearsal. We just do not want to charge people if they don't want to have a rehearsal with the officiant there. Virtually all officiants charge for rehearsal in one way or another for rehearsals. We don't want to overcharge people for what they do not need. You are so kind to be honest when writing your review. These are the type of reviews future brides like most is honesty. We look forward to future events because some of your guests have us booked now for their weddings.

in a really cool venue called the Wabasha Caves. It is awesome but has some difficulties from an audio stand point. Class act included a wireless speaker to be set up in an adjacent area of the venue so that people in that area could hear the announcements. This really helped to include our guests in all the activities. I think another company would not have known and those guests would have been just left out. Class act provided the Officiant and a small discreet sound system that worked beautifully without looking cheesy in our pictures. Once the ceremony was done the room was converted and voila it was time for dinner and dance and Class Act brought in a supper impressive larger system. There was so much work to be done Class Act actually brought a third person when they usually bring two to help with the conversions. They did that without charge to us. My husband and I found Class Act through our parents, and we're really glad we went with them - they made it incredibly easy to plan from afar. We live in Seattle but were getting married in Minnesota, which Michael definitely kept in mind. We ...
were able to accomplish most things via email, and he was flexible about meeting with us for a very in-depth planning meeting the one time we were actually in town before the wedding. He's definitely got a lot of experience, and he made suggestions about everything from aisle runners to processional order that were spot on. He was flexible with planning the ceremony and very accommodating to whatever level of religious preference was desired. We wrote and read our own vows, and he worked with us to fit them into the ceremony. He also had ideas for unity ceremonies beyond a unity candle - we ended up not wanting to do any extra ceremonial bit at all, but some of his ideas seemed great for people interested in doing so. My favorite part about working with them, though, was the energy they brought to the reception - awesome ideas for making the glass-ringing-kissing more exciting that got the whole room involved and having fun. Michael was both our officiant and our emcee, and even though a few things outside his control got delayed, he was great about working with the venue to keep things moving and getting the evening back on track without ever feeling rushed. All in all, I had an absolutely fabulous time at my wedding, and Class Act was one of the most important vendors who made that happen.

ortant so I was calm for the ceremony. We had several people on how nice and short ceremony was and they particularly liked the family bouquet. Where we acknowledged the loved ones that could not be with us and other important people in our lives. During dinner the MC/Party Coordinator, talked to all my guests and got a feel for the crowd, introduced himself and got requests. This was important because the time we had for the dance was short but important. Oh, did I mention my husband (now) is a singer, songwriter and has been on stage many times. It was my job to find someone perfect for the wedding reception. Class Act came through; he told the guys at Class Act that they did a great job interacting with the crowd and kept the guests engaged all night with great stage presence. The guys in Class Act mentioned to me that was a great compliment to them and they were honored by what my husband told them. Class act was masterful at blending in our requests with the requested music. I was also relieved when one of our guests requested a totally inappropriate song and Class Act handled it brilliantly. They pointed at the dance floor and reminded this person that there were about 8 children out there and their parents would probably be pretty upset. However, they told him that if he could surf the net and find a clean version they would play it. I thought that was brilliant because if there was a clean version there would probably be about two words in it. It also kept this individual busy for about 45 minutes before he gave up. I think he appreciated the fact that Class Act at least gave him the opportunity to work together to make him happy. I think it shows right there that experience is so important when picking your entertainment. They also did some interactive events during dinner, which were great. Kristen and Jesse

I am so glad I chose Class Act When we announced our engagement, my uncle came over to me and mentioned Class Act and said that they by far are on the top of the list. My uncle has been in the wedding venue business for over thir...
ty years and can do 5 events at one time. He sees all of these entertainment companies. So with that kind of credentials I figure he knows what he is talking about. I went online and liked what I saw and called them. Oh, my gosh. I had fun the minute I started talking to them. They did a great job of listening to me first and getting a good understanding of my hopes and dreams. Then we talked about the possibilities. Their experience and knowledge was astounding. I know it is crazy to say but the planning was actually a lot of fun. We booked them for everything. They supplied the wedding Officiant, music and microphones, and a wedding coordinator for the ceremony. At the dinner and dance, they told me the success of the night starts by making it fun and engaging the minute people walk in the door. They were masters at making the event be all about us and our guests and not about them. Their MC/Party Coordinator was fun and well organized while the DJ kept the dance flowing and in touch with the audience. When we called them to tell them what a great job they did after the wedding, they were very gracious. They also told me about all the little things that went wrong that they fixed. For instance the throwing bouquet got lost and the MC grabbed up a few flowers here and there and made me one. I threw it that night and never even noticed it was different. My cake cutter forgot to get going at it, so they reminded her. She was overwhelmed so they helped cut cake. My dad was having a bit of an anxiety attack about what to say for a toast so they helped coach him and calm him down. There are more things also, and if I would have known about them at the time, I would have been stressed and it would have affected my night. Have you ever heard of a DJ company doing all that? When it came to cost, I found higher prices for just a DJ without the other person. Class Act, you are permanently on my Christmas card list. THANK YOU. Susanna

know how great your guys were at the reception - whatever came along, they had it covered! Dave (MC) & Jeremy (DJ): Looking back, I am really impressed by how well you got everyone involved right at the beginning of the night! You seemed to be everywhere, and I can see why you guys are team! (Dave was busy all night - keeping our guests involved with all the events we wanted, keeping people engaged and the dance floor packed! Jeremy did a super job in playing a great mix throughout the night, and keeping things "appropriate" with some of the music our friends wanted to play - it fit great at the end of the night when our relatives kids were asleep!) Thanks to you both!!! I worked for a DJ company for many years in college, and heard Class Act had worked for a lot of local entertainers (including some local Radio DJs), so I knew you had an excellent reputation - but I was still a bit nervous about the biggest night or our lives (so far)... Being that this was one of the few things that my wife delegated to me, I wanted to make sure everything went off without a hitch - I didn't want to be the one to screw anything up! ;-) We heard a lot of compliments (and no complaints!) about the entire night, and Class Act was a big part of that success! You guys handled everything great, keeping us informed and keeping us from being surprised when things came up throughout the night when everything for us was just a blur... The music was perfect to keep everyone, young and old alike, involved starting right away & having a BLAST until the very end! I thought more of our extended family would have left after the first few dances, but you guys managed to keep them around until the very end! I know it was you huge efforts early on to get people having a great time right away that made the difference! I appreciate you guys keeping everything going smoothly for us when you had sooo much going on throughout the night for our guests! I know I would have forgotten several things until they were too late if you hadn't been on top of it for me, and so glad we had you guys there to coordinate things for us! I guess it comes with practice because you guys made it look easy!!! Thanks again to you for a great job and a great evening! It was the best party of our life! You really were a "Class Act"!!!

eally looked pretty once it was all set up. I kept the decorations fairly simple with flowers and lots of candles. It looked great!. Be aware however that if you book the Morrish room, there are no bathrooms in that room. The only bathrooms on the main floor (which is where the Morrish room is located) are in the bar in the front of the building. I did not find this out until after I made my downpayment and was not pleased (felt this should have been disclosed prior to signing the contract). The only other complaint that I have is, if you book the Morrish room, you may not have access to the bridal suite (for getting ready). If there is a party in the ballroom, you can't access the bridal suite (fortunately, the night of my wedding there was no other group using the facility so I was able to use the bridal suite). So.....make sure you ask these questions prior to booking your event. Other than those two complaints, I have to say that the facility and staff were fantastic! The food was excellent - we had so many guests comment on how much they loved the food. My final remarks are for the staff the day/night of the event. Wow! What a great team, from the bartenders to the servers, they were all fantastic. Very professional and everyone went above and beyond to make our guests feel special! ace. The event flowed very nicely and the wait staff were very quick and polite with service. A few things I wish I would have known before: You can't connect into the skywalk until 3pm and you can only get in at 10am the day of the wedding to decorate (favors, tables, chair covers, etc) and get ready - so it can be kind of a rush. They were a little understaffed that morning and we heard the wait staff talking about being a few hours behind! Everything turned out fine, though. If you have a Saturday wedding, you won't be able to do a rehearsal at the venue because likely there is another wedding the night before. The women's bathroom is up several stairs, so if you have elderly women in a wheel chair, you have to contact a staff member to take them in an elevator to a separate floor. The only other thing is that the day of wedding coordinator is not the same person you do all of the planning with. The girl we had tried to be helpful, but didn't know a lot of the details that had already been decided or discussed - so it seems a little disjointed in communication.

Some special "add ons" for our daughters reception were lavender lighting (done by Ken at Duluth Event Lighting) and champaigne/satin chair covers. (purchased online) Fabulous effects! The meal and the staff that served it was second to none! It has been one week since the wedding/reception~~ and we are still receiving calls complimenting us on our beautiful wedding and reception and asking us for more information about the Greysolon!! If you are thinking about this place for your reception, don't hesitate!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!

ance and had nothing but pleasant experiences with everyone that helped us not only at the ballroom but also Black Water. Everyone was extremely accommodating and willing to do whatever it took to make things wonderful. We had our rehearsal dinner at Black Water Lounge the night before our wedding and had our own private room where the staff did and exceptional job! We had our wedding and reception in the Ballroom and the Event manager of the night did a fantastic job directing people where to go and accommodating me and my guests all night! The lighting was perfect we didn’t alter the lighting in the ballroom for our wedding with the exception some votive candles on the tables; it was dim with the chandleries shimmering in the night, creating a romantic atmosphere! We had three feet high and higher flower arrangement on all the tables and the room looked so stately yet whimsical! I stopped in the middle of my day just to take it all in and enjoy how beautiful everything looked. We had a buffet because we had a Friday night wedding and wanted the night to move along fast. The Chef and staff made exceptional foods! (This coming to someone who travels the country looking for new food for a living.) We had several guests tell us how it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! I felt the timing of everything was executed perfectly! I really was impressed with the professionalism and kindness in everything they did! I really don't think I could have done it any better myself! They truly made our day the best it could have been. Thank you Greysolon you run a very classy operation and everything you did for us didn’t go un-noticed!

Room is so beautiful as is, not much decorating had to be done. The only drawback was that it was hard to get ahold of someone in the office during the month before the wedding. We had to leave messages and have someone call us back. Otherwise, we were very pleased with how smooth it all came together and how beautiful the venue was.

Our wedding reception was absolutely gorgeous in the Crystal Ballroom. The staff were helpful in allowing us to bring our vision to life. However, we had also hired a separate wedding planner, which made the whole process much easier. If we ...
had relied solely upon Greysolon's event coordinator, I do not believe everything would have run as smoothly. For example, Greysolon's event coordinator was not actually present on our wedding day. We received rave reviews from guests about the food, and the wait staff were all very attentive to guests. There was another wedding being hosted downstairs at the same time as ours; however, we were not bothered by it at all. I would highly recommend Greysolon for its beautiful decor and amazing location in downtown Duluth. Our guests really enjoyed being able to continue the party after our wedding reception by visiting some of the many nearby bars.

Greysolon on the internet and when I came to visit without a meeting setup the staff welcomed me to view the Moorish room, which was setup for an event and answered any questions I had. I fell in love with the room and knew it was the place for our wedding. It was a great size for an intimate crowd of 60 and the decor of the room just made the day even more elegant. The staff was amazing in answering all my questions and getting back to me quickly even while I was living in Australia. On the day of the wedding the staff was amazing, so polite and helpful we couldn't have asked for anything more. The food by Blackwoods was really good, just some of the portions seemed lacking. I would reccommend Greysolon to anyone, the staff is amazing so helpful during and before the big day and the rooms are beautiful!!

Mike was fantastic at coming up with cool ideas and he really took over when need be. He entertained my guests while they ate and the second dj made sure the music continued. The only hiccup we experienced was the father daughter, mother son ...
dance. I had to give the dj a cd with our music on it, which I was told would only be used as backup.. you would think they would have almost any music. They put in my cd and even though it was written on the cd itself the order of the songs, they got it mixed up and my husband was dancing with his mom to my dad and I's song. It took them several minutes to put music back on and then they nearly forgot to have the mom and son dance even on. Oh and one more hiccup, Mike asked me for the balance, when I paid him in full a month previous. I had my iphone and had to actually show him my bank account to prove he had been paid. Good thing Im on top of things. Other than that it was a great night and guests commented on how much fun they had!

nd the GReysolon Ballroom on line. My daughter fell in love with the romance and elegance of the ballroom. We were all skeptical that it would be everything she had hoped for. We were pleasantly wrong! The staff at the ballroom was top knotch and very professional. I was so impressed and so happy with everything they helped with. One example is 45 second before my husband and daughter were to walk down the aisle, my daughter noticed she had forgotten her bouquet. One of the staff was there to help with the timed music and she got on her headset and before my daughter knew it, the bouqet was in her hand and they were wiping off any water from the stems. That is a small example of the professional assistance and how the wedding went off without a hitch. My daughter and her husband has since gone back to NY and I have heard from her and a number of guests that they have never been to a more amazing wedding. In part it was the military prescence but the Greysolon ballroom was everything we could have asked for and more. Thank yo for making my daughters wedding an amazing dream!!!!

ing. The planning would have been a bit easier if they would have had prices listed (which they don't-- you really have to ask about everything). But, on the day of the wedding the venue was absolutely IDEAL. The venue was absolutely gorgeous (guests were SO impressed, would highly recommend getting chair covers-- it transforms the entire room). The food was delicious (my husband is italian and I was shocked to see that it lived up to even his discriminating tounge and we caught guests going back for thirds)! Our wedding pictures are stunning (partly due to venue and our exeptionally talended photographer). Many of the guests have come back to us to say that the wedding was the "classiest that they have ever seen." Finally, we had all this and we still came in $1,700 under what was expected. Overall, we really couldn't have found a better experience for the money! Thank you Greysolon!!
