We knew what we wanted but couldn't find it, so we decided to start looking into custom made bands. We submitted our design idea to DBD, got a quote, liked it, and went in for a consultation. Funny thing is that they do the work and repairs for many upscale jewelry stores like Tiffany's, but they also have their own custom jewelry operation. Their facility is nothing impressive; it's simple, so you know you're not paying for them to have ridiculously expensive storefront. They basically run by word of mouth. But man are we glad we found them! They created the most exquisite engagement ring for me, and they custom made a band that we had sottered to it to fit it like a puzzle piece. And I know I am not biased; I have had TONS AND TONS of people comment on how beautiful it is and how they have never seen one so unique and beautiful. DBD's suggestions and advice led us right every time, and we have been nothing but pleased with their work ever since. We even had them place 3 small diamonds from my engagement ring into my husband tungsten carbide ring, which is VERY hard to do, but they worked on it till it was perfect. We have since referred 3 couples to them who have gotten their engagement rings through DBD, and another older couple who has proclaimed them their "new jeweler" after having DBD custom make a piece for them. Their work is fantastic, but sometimes you just have to stay on them with the communication. But it's worth it in the end!
