Do not hire him! In the consultation he asked if I needed 2 set ups. I told him I was not sure based on the venue and asked them to review the aerial footage that I showed him. He ...
said it should be fine. However, when he showed up to my wedding, he began blaming me for not paying for 2 set ups, and berated my mother. He continued to be arrogant and condescending to my mother throughout the whole night as she tried to work with him. He was given one artist not to play, Taylor Swift, and immediately played it. He did not play all the songs on my must play list. He also did the first dances out of order, even after I gave him a very detailed word document with the information and schedule. I would not recommend him to anyone, the DJ is the only thing that went wrong in my event. Especially with how condescending and rude he was to me, my mom, and the photographer. The photographer would tell him it’s time to cut the cake, and he said he was playing music and that she could wait. The best man had to go up to him to tell him he was going to be doing a speech NOW, because every time someone else told him it was time for speeches, he said he was in the middle of music. Overall a terrible experience. DO NOT BOOK HIM.

Jason knocked it out of the park for us! Extremely communicative, positive, and easy to work with! We had multiple meetings to go over the plan and he executed the plan exactly how...
we had hoped. He took the guesswork out of the music situation for our big day. We all had a blast. Thanks for everything!

was spot-on, blending our favorite tracks with seamless transitions. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. He was professional, personable, and truly understood the vibe we wanted. If you're looking for a DJ who will make your event perfect, DJ Komma is the one. Thank you for making our special day even more amazing!

DO NOT HIRE FOR YOUR WEDDING! Jason is not a quality wedding DJ. He advertises as one but falls very short of the bar when it’s time to perform his job. He doesn’t do rehearsals be...
cause he claims he’s done “hundreds of weddings” so he knows how they go. He doesn’t do quality sound checks before the event. And he blames everyone else for his short comings.
Jason is very nice and responsive and listens to everything you want and sells you on his story of being an experienced wedding DJ. He makes you feel confident in his skills & signing a contract with him. However, he is a liar. We paid Jason an additional $50 to play music while people were being seated at the start of the wedding, he did not do that. He was actually still setting up and trying to fix his “dirty power” problem. Which lead to distorted music & crackling (blown) speakers ALL NIGHT! The venue even brought him different speakers to use and he refused to use them. Having done a QUALITY sound check & rehearsal prior to the event, we may have been able to avoid the disaster of the music. Bedsides the music sounding horrible all night, he proceeded to ruin the nights events. He had the beer man (like a flower girl, but with beer) walking down the aisle to my (the bride) song. He didn’t loop the bridal parties song back around like he said he would do. The guests didn’t even know to turn around when I started walking because he went straight from the bridal party song right into mine. I literally had to yell at the guests that I was walking down the aisle. He did not have a microphone set up for the officiant, like we discussed in our consultation. Jason claimed he gave it to the “old lady” who was our venue coordinator, to set up. And she brought it back to him, so he “assumed” (his exact words) we didn’t want to use it. First of all, learn the venue managers names, that’s just rude to call some one an “old lady”. Secondly, it’s no one’s responsibility to do HIS job or navigate HIS equipment, especially when paid & consulted to do so. When asked to play songs that were specifically given to him as a playlist, he told us (bride and groom) and other guests he didn’t have them or wasn’t doing requests “per the bride”. I never once said we weren’t going to do requests. I asked him to play Copperhead Road and he proceeded to tell me he didn’t have the song. I challenged him and asked him why not because it was a song that was on the list that he requested us to give him. Then I saw it on his playlist, pointed it out to him and he still NEVER played the song. He hardly played any of the songs we gave him. He was rude and arrogant when confronted about anything. He was given a timeline of events that had names to announce the bridal party for our grand entrance. He couldn’t get the music figured out for that. After a minute or two of us waiting, I started running back down to tell him what we were doing & then he started playing the music so I had to turn around and run back to my place. He never announced the bridal parties names and he almost announced me and my groom with my maiden name instead of our married name. My guests were having to tell him what our names were. It was absolute trash and he ruined all of the special moments through the day. At one point in our conversation he said “I had everyone dancing the last hour” okay well, we had an open bar, people had been drinking for hours at that point and I was pulling people on the dance floor to dance with me because we had to make the best out of what we had. So that’s not even a fair statement and to be proud to have people dancing the last hour is an embarrassment. People should have been dancing the whole time. I had reached out to him the next day to explain my disappointment and asked if we could come to an agreement on rectifying the horrible event and all he could do is blame the venue for their power issues (who holds 20+ weddings a year and have never had issues with power for djs). He bypassed all the other issues he had that I explained. I expressed to him that he knows his performance was not up to par and he should have AT LEAST apologized for the crap show that night and that I shouldn’t even have to be reaching out to him. And he never even did that. I asked for the very least of $500 back (we paid almost $1500) for the disaster and he basically told me to screw myself. I had very much explained to Jason how important the music was to me. It definitely makes or breaks an event. And he broke mine. It’s literally all people could and still talk about 2 weeks later. Please do your research for DJs cause DJ Komma ain’t the one. I promise. He has NO social media for his performances, he has zero reviews anywhere else besides what’s on wedding wire and I can almost guarantee he made those himself. Also, wedding wire will hide any bad reviews that Jason challenges, until the reviewer can prove they hired the vendor. Which I think is ridiculous because guests have every right to review a DJ or any other vendor they have an experience. Again, do your research and DO NOT USE THIS GUY FOR YOUR WEDDING!
